Yay! The building was updated a few years ago. They have outdoor seating and have more parking spots too. And for me the best thing of all is that - they don't run out of almond croissants anymore. Woohoo, lol! We came in for lunch so it was peak hours and as expected there was a line. This place is so worth the wait though. Everything is fresh and the bread, meats and cheese are all high-quality. The baguettes are fresh and soft. They actually post what time the bread and croissants were baked. Looks like they bake them every hour. As always, I go with my usual - french baguette with roast beef and brie with mayo, lettuce, tomato and cucumber. They now offer a 4" baguette which is just the perfect size when you want to have a croissant with it . If you have not been here yet, this is a place you cannot afford to miss! read more

My friends and I came here on a whim, and when we arrived the line was out the door--a good sign in my book! The front was packed, but they have a separate area for those waiting on their order. They didn't have indoor dining, but I believe there were tables outside. I'm not 100% sure because we went to the beach to enjoy the food! There was a big line on the outside waiting to go in (about 8 people ahead of me), thus I was a little annoyed if it's even worth it. Luckily it moved very quickly & I realized that they have a very efficient system managing orders. You basically stand at the door, & wait to be called-inside to order. They had time-notes on the baguettes (down to the minute) to keep track of the bread's oven freshness. I ordered a 9" sandwich & it was about 1.5 serving (saved 1/3 for later). The ingredients were fresh & the baguette was soft... thank goodness! I hate when baguettes are crunchy/hard, making it difficult to chew. Not this place! It was good sandwich at a fair price. $12 for a 9" sub & a small coffee. Several people in line told me the pastries are incredible. I would probably come back. I can get a 6 inch tuna sandwich (on a fresh baguette I might add) and a small iced tea for about $9.50. Their pastries are also delicious! I'd recommend ordering ahead especially if you're going during the lunch rush. Their online platform defaults your pickup time to 30 min after you place the order. My sandwich had hearty cuts of turkey, cheddar cheese, cucumbers, lettuce, a little mayo on a French baguette. A 9' runs you about $9.75. I have to admit, this was a fantastic sandwich - high quality ingredients and incredibly good bread. I loved the addition of the thinly sliced cucumbers - it added a nice crunch. Coffee is good, but service is untrained. Placed an order for drip coffee, paid and waited for my order to be announced. As I watched every member of my party get their orders, as did customer after me, I went to barista whom informed me that there was no more drip coffee. Frustrated I went back to the cash whom suggested that they could switch to an espresso based coffee. I did this. Waited as more customers are served, waited some more. Frustrated again went back to the cash and asked why my order had not been prioritized or simply why he did not voluntarily seek me out for a change of orders (seated directly in front of the cash) instead of apologizing and instead of prioritizing my order, he tells me that I have a "nice attitude". I asked for a refund of my coffee and of my tip. Shop is cute, coffee (my wife and kids) was good. This bakery is the best. I can eat an entire fresh baguette on my own. My favorite tuna sandwiches are from here. All the veggies and cheese options are always super fresh. My order is: 6" sandwich, on baguette bread, chicken curry, cheddar cheese, butter (maybe it's in my head but I feel like this gives it the extra oomph), sprouts, and cucumbers (gives it some crunch). SOOO GOOD. I get this exact sandwich everytime I visit C'est Si Bon. The sandwich is savory, a bit sweet, and so addicting. If you're new here, DEFINITELY get the chicken curry sandwich. It's one of their top rated sandwiches. Avoid coming here during the lunch rush if you can. It gets very busy 12-1pm. Instead, I would recommend ordering online in advance and setting a pick-up time at 12pm. Then you'll be in and out in a jiffy. There are outdoor tables and it's nice to sit out here and eat. I ordered a sandwich, chips and their cake which I keep forgetting the name, but it's a black and white mousse cake and it's my favorite. I love their chips selection too. Simple yet adorable spot in Newport. It appears there isn't too much parking but you can definitely always find a spot. The center isn't too big so you might have to walk just a bit but it's not too bad. I wish there was more outdoor seating. The general area isn't very open to the other shops nearby (not many options anyway) but I feel it would be a more popular area if it was planned out to be more of an open and walkable space. Regardless, C'est Si Bon itself is a hip and popular hidden gem. I personally prefer the coffee (chai in particular) just because I'm not much of a pastry or sandwich person. It was a perfect pair for breakfast. The buttery croissant was mouthwatering and it must have just come out of the oven because it was the right amount of warmth. I ordered my favorite hot drink, a large Chai Tea Latte. Service was quick and the cashier was very nice. I was surprised that there was very limited seating inside. You can have your choice of three toppings from pickles, tomato, lettuce, sprouts, and cucumber. We went with the tomatoes, lettuce, and cucumber and that combination was so good! They have a wide selection of pastries as well. There is a stand which says "line starts here" at the front and they call you forward when they're ready. There are some tables and benches to the immediate right of the bakery. Cyclists and dog owners can be found here. People are friendly and the service is great!!
