Came here with a co worker for lunch. The restaurant has interesting decor and friendly service, but extremely small portion sizes. My co worker and I typically opt for a la carte rather than lunch specials for the larger portion and the food was not enough for one person and laughable for two. We had the pad thai and pork ribs which was on the more spendy. The pad thai was standard but tiny for the pric. The pork ribs however are poorly executed. They don't fall off the bone and the flavor was overall meh. My co worker and I were still hungry after a rather expensive, lack luster meal. Considering the area does not have as many options nearby, I can see why one would come here. I however will be driving further out for thai food that's worth the price and calories. read more

Couldn't eat the food and couldn't return to have it remade. My Son said that he would eat it but once he tried it he said the flavor was good but the noodles were overcooked and mushy. A timed lunch led us to nearby Cha Thai in Orange. Since time was limited, we quickly ordered drinks and entrees simultaneously. We went with the Pad Prik with Chicken and Beef Satay. The food arrived quickly, and it was hot. The Pad Prik was delicious, but for the price the portion should have been larger. The Beef Satay was below average. It was dry, and we have had much better elsewhere. The accompanying peanut sauce and cucumbers in vinegar was very good, however. In regards to drinks, the Sprite was all carbonation, but they replaced it with delicious traditional iced tea. In regard to the service, it was very fast and friendly. I'm sorry but this was one of the most disappointing Thai restaurants we've ever been too. My boyfriend got the pad Thai dinner special which supposedly came in larger portions. That was definitely not the case. It felt like it was the size of a lunch special but just came with wontons and an egg roll. I don't think that's worth the extra $2. Yes, I'm cheap lol. I got the Tom Kah chicken, which had cheap ingredients and hard chicken bits. Didn't even finish my rice. For $10.95, I felt ripped off. This is located in a small suburban plaza and it was quite empty on a Sunday lunch time. Not sure why the reviews are so grand here. At least service was helpful which is a plus. Come hungry, because the portions are pretty big. I'm used to going to Thai Spice, and a friend had recommended trying this place instead. I'm glad we decided to give this place a try. It was hidden in a shopping center off Chapman and Main. I've probably driven past it a few times without even knowing it was there. Parking was easy and restaurant was small and cozy, no wait during the lunch hour. They have various specials, one being the lunch special for $7.50, which included one entree item, soup and rice. Good deal, but I thought the Dinner special was a much better deal. For $9.50 you get a larger portion entree, soup, salad, rice, egg roll, and wontons. Now that's what I'm talking about! Plenty of food left over for tomorrows lunch too! I ordered the pad thai dinner special with chicken. It was tasty, with just enough spice. The wonton soup was really good as well, I could have just ordered a bowl of that and been just as happy. The egg rolls and wontons came out nice and hot and crispy! Now that's a lot for just $10. The fried wonton was a joke though. The should just call it fried paper. There's a pea size meat right in the middle and that's it for your protein intake from the wonton. It's a small establishment, but on my visit here, it wasn't busy so getting a table wasn't hard. It comes with soup, salad, white/brown or fried rice, 2 fried wontons, and an egg roll. Soup was really good, it had wontons and whole bunch of garlic! Salad wasn't that good because the dressing tasted watered down. Fried rice didn't have any flavor, it was like white rice mixed with carrots and egg. Fried wontons tasted a little burnt to me. Egg roll was like a good size normal egg roll, but just veggies inside. Pad thai needed more lime squeezed into it and the beef didn't taste like beef to me honestly... Service: Attentive ladies. It didn't have a distinct crab flavor, but I did like the tomatoes they put into this dish. It cleansed my palette after I had a few bites. - Yellow Curry: they don't skimp on the ingredients in this dish, but they do charge for a side of rice! - Tom Yum Soup: we ordered the large size which comes out in a big pot with flames. This dish was probably my favorite. It had the right amount of sour and savory taste. It was nice to drink a hot soup that was flavorful. - Angel Wings: first time trying this! I liked the crispy outsides with the moist chicken and stuffing on the inside. - Drunken Noodles: plentiful, but nothing really stood out in this dish. I have been going to this place for over 4 years now. The food from this place is really good. I work near by and they have lunch specials that has a good selection and comes with Wonton Soup. The only reason why I rated this place with 4 starts instead of 5, is because of the service that you would get now. 2 years ago or so, there use to be other servers that would hustle their way around and showed that they cared about your time and understood that some of us only have an hour for lunch. Now the ladies that are at the restaurant seem to take their sweet time just to take your order. Just feels like you wait a bit to be served. Now for the food, I am not a spicy food lover... so one of my favs is the yellow curry. It is one of a kind. A nice hint of spicy taste and the portion that they give you is pretty good. They have however cutdown on the amount of rice they give you now. The curry sauce that they have is so creamy and it has this sweetness at first taste then comes the mild spiciness. But, my all time favorite and probably my highest ranked Pad Thai. Their Pad Thai is something totally different from all others. The Chantaboon noodles is one of a kind and the way they mix the egg into the noodles is soo flavorful. I would always spring in the 2 extra dollars on top of the 7 bucks lunch special to have the all the meats put it, beef, pork, chicken and shrimp. When you mix all of that when served, the flavor is just amazing. This is a great place to go for lunch... but just watch out for how quick they can get your food out. I have also come to this place once for dinner with a somewhat big group and ordered a-la-carte and the portions of each order was a good size. Just wanted to make a note of that. read more

The portion size is ok for a meal of $10 and the food is not bad. I wouldn't come here if I were looking to eat good Thai food though and they don't really let you adjust the level of spice in your meal unfortunately. As for the service, we were never low on water and we were able to place our order and get our food promptly. But, there were a couple things that might be deal breakers for people. The server mixed up my friend's order and basically ignored her when she pointed it out (luckily she was ok with chicken instead of beef) and he took my plate before I was completely done with my meal (I just had part of the salad left). The parking is pretty good since its in a plaza but it's close to a sketchy looking massage parlor and smoke shop. Might come back again if I'm in the area and just need something to fill my belly. When I worked for for the Law school on Orange I was in love with this place. My friend and I would have lunch here all the time. It was beyond delicious. Their Pad Thai and their thai tea is on point. Also, my friend introduced me to cream cheese won tons with sweet and sour sauce. Honey!!! Hold on to yo shoes cause good Lawd they are yummy wummy! Tonight we were craving Thai food so we went here for dinner. Posted hours state they close at 9pm, we walked in at 8:19pm. The server immediately rolled her eyes when she saw us in the restaurant. This is quite possibly some of the best Thai food I have ever eaten. The restaurant is clean, and the service is down home and consistently friendly and complete. We had the fried fish and the bbq chicken. Absolutely mouthwatering. Ask to make it as spicy as you wish. A coworker and I decided to head here for lunch, not knowing anything before going. Luckily, there were a lot of positive reviews posted, reflected by the rating I saw when I checked in. We both ordered a lunch special, mice a curry and his a noodle dish. Both were good. I probably would skip the lunch special in the future, as I am not a big fan of the soup (decent) and salad (standard) that was served with the meal. The place was fairly crowded and the service was so-so. It took a while to flag someone down to get a refill on my water, but the ordering and food delivery were fast. So if you can eat without needing anything extra, you shouldn't have an issue with the service. They do ask how how you want it, and they were pretty good in adjusting the spice level. I prefer moderate on an actual Thai scale, and the food was hot enough to have good flavor but not so hot it was uncomfortable to eat. Overall, it was certainly worth a second visit, and probably a 3rd or 4th down the road. read more
