I loved how the sauce came in a container so I could control how much sauce to add on. The chicken was made really well, light with a crunch! Quick overview: Food would be rated five stars EASILY! Service is definitely a two (generally nice but overly slow). Chada Thai is definitely my favorite Thai restaurant in Scottsdale by far! Everything that I have ordered from here as been so flavorful and I always end up coming back. My favorites have to be the Pad See Eiww and Poo Goong Obb Woon Sen. The only negative thing with Chada Thai is that the service is extremely slow. Specifically, there was one time when I came in with a friend and we waited about 20 minutes to just place our order. When we had waved someone down finally, she sort of had an attitude with us and said it was very busy. We aren't the type of girls that like waving servers down because it's bad form, but customers that got there after us were served first and we had been extremely patient up to that point. I love this place because of the food and generally, the staff is polite so I hate talking badly about it. I continue to order takeout from here since I love it but I would only recommend it that way and not to dine in because I have been let down every single time. read more

No idea how anyone can give this place less than 5 stars. As someone who has religiously eaten Thai food in some of the primary cities with a big Thai community (Los Angeles, Boston), this place is as good as we have found in Phoenix. Bearing in mind Phoenix is ethnically devoid of lots of choices other than meat and bbq, this is a great escape into a very straightforward and zen dining experience. There is NOTHING fancy here, just amazing service and amazing food. They can sometimes get busy and be pulled in many different directions but the restaurant is small and does a TON of delivery orders, so be realistic and don't come in here if you are entitled. Of course, this is not Glai Baan but then again they don't try to be. They are Chada Thai and anyone who enjoys Thai food should at least give this spot a chance. A group from work decided to come here for an early lunch which was smart as shortly after our ~11:30 arrival the restaurant filled up. Upon arrival there are multiple menus (lunch specials vs. entrees) so try not to get confused. Our meals were great and served hot with nice portions. Sometime lunch portions can appear to be significantly smaller than an average portion but Cha Da Thai went against the grain. Super disappointed about this review, I wanted a local Thai spot by me. I ordered the pad se ew with chicken. When I received my order the steam came out of the box, great! I then transferred my food into a bowl. Now the bottom of the container is on top and the top on the bottom. I take my first bite and it's ice cold! I'm grab a bite from the bottom steaming hot. Typically with delivery this would be the opposite if it had cooled on its way to me. The bottom of the dish would have remained hot and the top would have cooled off. Not the case they microwaved my meal and sent it off. How extremely disappointing. read more

Came here with a group of coworkers for lunch at their request. The space is smallish, there are a few booths and tables available, although most are pretty close together. I don't usually go for Thai although I was excited to checkout the menu. Service was friendly enough and prompt. The restaurant isn't anything special and it was a bit dim inside. For lunch they have either plates ($9-$12) that come with soup or salad, or a lunch bento box ($13+) which comes with soup or salad, appetizer and drink. I just went with the sweet and sour chicken plate. You can pick your spice level for all dishes. It came with rice and carrots, other veggies and pineapple. It wasn't horrible and you got a decent size plate but I just wasn't a fan. Perhaps this is either a personal thing or just not the best dish but I wouldn't return. read more

Great food. We have been here a couple of times, both dine in and take out. The food is always very good.

This was me and my spouse first time here. The food was amazing but, the service was terrible. Only two waitresses and one of which said someone else would be our server. We sat in the booth waiting (50mins) until we finally got attention from the original waitress who greeted us and were able to order. The food was 5 stars but,the service really lacked. We ordered take out dinner from Chada Thai, I understand that the delivery is through DoorDash, a third party. However, our food was never delivered and the driver had a language barrier so communication was difficult. We called Chada Thai to find the easier resolution for this, the associate put the manager on the phone who advised us to call DoorDash to request a redelivery and they'd remake it. When we called DoorDash and made the request, the DoorDash associate commented that the restaurant turned off their redelivery requests time stamped for right before I called. So basically, the manager lied to us about being able to remake our dinner and purposely turnoff their redelivery option so they didn't have to remake food. I understand mistakes happened and everyone is human, but this is a show of the character of the restaurant who won't acknowledge mistakes and take the steps to correct it. First time ordering, didn't even try the food, I will not be giving them a 2nd chance. read more

Starving and with a love for Thai food found Chada Thai after leaving a meeting In The area. Reading all of the positive reviews my heart sang and my mouth watered at the beautiful visions my brain was creating about the feast I was going to consume. The restaurant is very very clean and esthetically pleasing and that is were the 2 stars come into play PLUS good service. Everything after is just a bad experience. Ordered off the lunch menu had the pad Thai level 3 and the yellow curry ( level 3) plus two Thai coffee. Service was fast but the place was empty. Our food arrived and as I dug in with much anticipation my first bite Expecting heaven my heart broke and sank. The curry was curdled. I know it can happen But it made it very gritty and unappetizing I wish it was just the texture, the flavor was off almost rancid and bland. The potatoes were non existent the 1 small morsel of potato I found was beyond mushy and disintegrated on the spoon I attempted to pick it up. The carrots had this weird flavor and were cut like crinkly fries - they were very very mushy and had extra water in them. This lead me to believe that the curry was made, frozen and defrosted at high heat. I'm used to having curry with jasmine rice (every Thai place I've frequented ) and this restaurant used just white rice. The Thai coffee was not as good either compared to other Thai coffee I've had - too sweet not enough milk. Not very strong coffee flavor. Pad Thai - mediocre at best. The food was hot so that's a plus. Prices were expensive. $40.00 for inedible lunch that's going in the trash. I never complain unless there is absolutely hair or something really wrong - We didn't eat our meals and packed them to go. So sad on so many levels. read more

Since moving to AZ a year ago we have been searching for a Thai place that reminds us of some of our favorite Thai places back home (Los Angeles) and Chada is a winner for me. Ordered some of our signature Thai favorites to see how we liked it and we absolutely loved our choices. We ordered the Pad See Ew Beef, Yum! Chicken Panang spicy and super tasty, Tom Kha so tasty and great when it's cold. Last but not least one of my Thai favorites Mango sticky rice, ohhh goodness amazing. We are definitely coming again and this will now be a frequent restaurant for us. I wait to eat here on my travels to Az. It has the best Thai boat soup anywhere. I recommend the Wonton and Pork Barbecue. We also had the chicken Pad Thai, it was excellent. I like the lunch combo from this Thai restaurant. They put it in a lunch box which makes it look like gifts. The workers weren't familiar with the menu when I ask for green curry and they told me they don't have it when it's on the menu. The green curry wasn't the best taste that I've had.
