We went in with a large party, but the service was still very good and attentive. Props to the staff for being professional even though we had a lot of kids with us. This is a good place to take your family or large parties. If you are doing the A-level menu I would stick to the thinly sliced beef and pork belly. If you are doing the B-level menu I would add in beef tongue as well. I also like their selection of banchan. The potato salad, japchae, and fish cake were my favorites. They give you free ice cream at the end too. It's straight out of the freezer so it's a bit hard, but it's good once it warms up. I always get the green tea ice cream.

We were greeted right away. The servers were super attentive and gave us what we asked for. This isn't your typical kbbq spot where its a small platter of protein. The restaurant wasnt too busy on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated almost immediately. Each plate that we ordered were massive! It didnt even fit on the grill! You had two prices choices to chose from. We opted for the cheaper price. The side dishes were unlimited and so were the soft drinks. We only ordered 4 trays of protein before we said it was enough. The smoke hood above the grill was large enough that there wasnt much smoke around us. That was a huge bonus. We will have to try the higher price next time.

It was our first time here, and there was plenty of parking and seating available. We chose Menu A, which had a good variety. We tried the garlic pork belly, prime beef brisket, and spicy beef belly. We also had the kimchi fried rice, spicy tofu soup, and egg pot. The side dish options were great as well. Service was okay but could be better. Overall, the food was great, and they offered green tea, cookies and cream, or strawberry ice cream at the end.

Service -- quick, super attentive & nice. We ordered the $39.99 dinner & the waiter made sure we got our moneys worth by reminding us to order from that side & offered suggestions. Food -- Good all around. The shrimp was my favorite but it is unpeeled and messy. The rib eye steak was super tasty as well. & they serve you delicious ice cream at the end. The chocolate crunch is hella good! Plenty of parking

Came across this place a few months ago and now it's my husband and I's go to KBBQ spot! Quick service and very attentive! Good variety on their menu and they bring a lot out at once and quickly. The quality is always fresh. It's so chill in there and everyone is so nice, good music too! They give ice cream at the end as well... I recommend the malt crunch!

I absolutely love Cham Shoot Gol, it's hands down one of my favorite KBBQ spots. I live in LA and have no problem making the drive out to Anaheim just to eat here. Not gonna lie, I was a little disappointed with the service during my last visit, but I noticed none of the usual staff were there they're normally on top of everything. The sides are always solid, the meat is on point, and I really like that they give you ice cream after your meal. This was the first place I ever saw do that, and now you see dessert offered at a lot of KBBQ places but Calm Shoot Gol started it. When it comes to KBBQ, this spot takes the cake. Between the food, the vibe, and (usually) the service I seriously love this place.

Great selection of meats and banchan. They had my KBBQ staples: chili sauce, sesame oil and salt, steamed egg, salad, rice paper, brisket, and bulgogi. Our favorite meats were the bone-in beef short rib and sliced beef short rib of the B menu. The premium pork belly, ribeye steak, and kimchi fried rice weren't anything to write home about. Love the scoop of ice cream that is included at the end of the meal. Great service! However, we were there on Halloween and it was unusually empty. They do reservations for parties of 8 or more.

New favorite KBBQ spot in OC. My cousin recommended me to this place and it did not disappoint. The service is top tier and the food is quality. Their sides/banchan are flavorful & they give you plenty of it too! Our go to meat order -- beef belly, brisket, & bulgogi and all 3 were so tasty with the dipping sauces. Their spicy tofu soup is also very good. Cant forget about their staff, each one is so nice & helpful. Special shoutout to Brandon who was our server twice out of the 3 times we dined here & he was so attentive & friendly both times! Thanks, Brandon for the great experience!

Will the prices ever be going back to $25 or is $30 the new price for good? Is there ever going to be a lunch special?

Honestly, I don't the price will go back based on the crazy inflation in the US. $30 is a common price for all kbbq AYCE now.

Unfortunately no, they have pre-prepared to go styled cups with lids as part of their safety measures.

How many people can they sit at one table?

Do they still have outdoor seating?

They reduced the capacity for their outdoor dining for some reason, but they still had it last I went. I would call to make sure.

    First come, first serve.

How can I place an order for to go?

You can probably call or go in person. There may also be some options for delivery depending on the app and your location if you check.

    Yes, just make a reservation!

Does this place serve steamed egg?

For food, I've tried a lot of their menu and everything is so good and shareable. The korean fried chicken is crispy, not dry, and seasoned so well! A favorite amongst the group was the beef intestine, which I've never had before and was pretty impressed by. It was super juicy and paired well with the scallions and sauce. Another favorite of the group was the corn cheese. It was like a pizza but corn cheese. My absolute tried and true is the pork belly. It is soo good, especially with the kimchi, peppers, and roasted garlic cloves. It definitely is my personal favorite on their menu! I can definitely see why this place is so popular!

The kimchi, kkakdugi (radish kimchi), and gat kimchi are absolutely delicious. I heard that the owner makes everything in-house, and you can really tell how much care and skill go into the food. The staff are also incredibly kind and welcoming every time I visit. Galbitang (Beef Short Rib Soup) - This is honestly the best galbitang I've had in both OC and LA. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the beef is always fresh and tender. Whenever I'm craving galbitang in the OC/LA area, this is the only place I go. Yukgaejang (Spicy Beef Soup) - The amount of ingredients they give you is amazing. I've had it both dining in and as takeout, and it's consistently delicious every single time. It's perfectly seasoned, and has just the right level of spice. As much as I love the galbitang, I think I actually enjoy the yukgaejang even more. Pork Cutlet (Donkatsu) - This place is known for its galbitang and seolleongtang, so I wasn't expecting much from the donkatsu... but why is it this good? I love that you order off their kiosk which is conveniently located at the table already. The staff was quick to bring out the banchan. To start, we shared their leek pancake and pork blood sausage. For my lunch I went with their cold noodles since it was a cold day. The people I came with had some pork spare ribs, which came with rice and bone knee soup. And a bibimbap. The leek pancake was the best thing there. The pork blood sausage was more of rice noodles rolled up with pork blood flavored. I can't imagine it being much portion. Eveything else was bland which we all agreed to. For my cold noodles I added plenty of vinegar and mustard but it was not it. Still lacked flavor. Also it only had half a boiled egg and two verythin slices of beef. The pork was over cooked, dry, and lacked flavor. The bibimbap was also bland even with their red sauce. We we were all disappointed. The pricing is affordable. The staff was nice and quick. They made sure to check up on us. Parking here is a tough even though it was a weekday. But since I moved out of LA, it's so inconvenient to get to. Enter Kyung Bok Kung -- what a find. I can get a fine dining korean bbq experience conveniently. I've been here a number of times, and this review reflects the few times I've been there. It's become the goto spot to take people from out of town who are visiting and want a Kbbq experience. Things I immediately noticed - lots of white and grey teslas in the parking lot during lunch - you know what that means? Golf Koreans. Yup. Go inside and you'll see incredibly well dressed older retired people with their buddies chatting up in private cubicles. Beautiful decor. It's like the background setting of a korean drama where there's a close-up of the guy and the girl - they're about to say something really serious to each other. The camera does a wide angle shot of them - and this is the restaurant it's shot in. Price points - this place isn't cheap, but they have incredibly good deals on a weekday lunch (cold noodles and meat set). Their dinner set course meals are priced around what you would expect from a quality steak house. This place is not as pricey as AB steak or Cote, but you're getting just as quality. Food - I've had the lunch set meals, the bbq grilled course, and ordered à la carte. One thing is for sure - they don't miss. I never had a 9 budda plate until I came here, but apparently it's like a thing that royals ate during the monarchy days. It was like a korean vegetarian taco. Very intricate (and slightly annoying) to put together but delicious - and a great test of your chopstick skills. Their braised beef (galbijjim) from their lunch set intersects savory, sweet, and tenderness in a way that only Korean grandmas do. I'm not a huge fan of Wagyu beef (just too rich and can never feel after eating it), but I have never felt that way coming out of here. Go here at night if you want to impress someone or celebrate something. Go here during lunch if you want a fantastic meal and want to see what the best korean food can taste like but don't want to break the bank.
