The banana cream matcha was decently good, but oh my goshhhh 11 dollars for a drink is INSANE. I hate that this is so normalized these days like girl what?? I wanted a smaller size to see if I even liked the drink/didn't want to pay more for a bigger one, but I was told that they only had large cups right now and that it was impossible for them to charge for a smaller size/not fill the large cup all the way. It's def not the employees fault since it's company policy, but it's a ~stupid~ policy if you ask me. It's not your customers fault that you didn't restock your cups. Came here on a weekday. There was no line so we walked right in. The cashier glanced at us and then turned around to continue talking to her co-worker. The barista to the left just kept looking at us up and down. No greeting, not even a smile from anyone. Finally after like 5 minutes the cashier stops talking to her co-worker and finally takes our order. She sounded extremely uninterested and rude. The vanilla latte was burnt and sour tasting. I honestly wouldn't have even cared about the disappointing latte if the service was at least good/welcoming. I didn't even tip and I always tip! It truly felt like such a "mean girl" environment. The service was great and everything was delicious! I loved the setting and vibe of the shop and sitting outside. We tried the kouign amman and it was one of the best pastries I've tried! The chocolate chip cookie was so delicious and gooey. The iced chai, iced caramel latte, and iced matcha lemonade were all great too. I was so excited to try this but it wasn't what I would expect from the brand at all. None of my friends liked it at all, all of the drinks are $10 so it's really disappointing that nothing is good there. My boyfriend had the cold brew which he said tasted off, a friend tried the strawberry matcha which they said was outright bad. Another friend had the iced coffee which they said was sour. I haven't heard anything good at all beyond the aesthetics of the shop. There's also always a long line here and for the price and wait time it's really a disappointment. Honestly you're better off buying the matcha powder and making it at home or trying one of the canned lattes. read more

I was excited to try this place after seeing all the hype on social media and walking by it a few times. I waited in line for 15 minutes or so and got an iced latte and a piece of the olive oil cake. My coffee was great, one of the better iced lattes I've found in LA, and the olive oil cake was amazing. So good. For me it was well worth the wait and the staff were super friendly. This is some of the best coffee I've had in LA! I've gone back at least 10 times because I want to try everything on the menu. The team paid attention to every single detail from the milk, quality of syrups, to the artwork. You can adjust sweetness levels to accommodate your personal tastes. I would recommend to everyone. I've been watching Emma since 2018 and I was excited to hear she opened a coffee shop in LA! I was there around 9:30 am on a Saturday and waited about 15-20 minutes in line, but it wasn't too bad. After ordering drinks, they have it prepared fairly quick. I just got an iced matcha w/ whole milk and it was decent 7/10. I'd go back to try some other drinks. These drinks were terrible. We got 4 different drinks and we couldn't finish a single one. Coffee syrup was sour and the drinks were watered down. We spent $40 and waited in line for like an hour. the drinks are so greatly crafted and have a deep and not too overly sweet flavor profile. every drink I tried was awesome and unique. some might not like it if they're more into starbucks or dunkin super sweet coffee or matcha but this is more of a local coffee shop flavor but great read more

my friend & i drove an hour and got there at 6pm. There wasn't really a line, maybe about 8 people. They told us they wouldn't let us in line because the mall was closing in 2 hours and they didn't want to accept anymore people. i asked if they were out of ingredients or anything and they said no. they told us they open at 8am but we live an hour away so i asked what time they close and they said "8pm" but it was 6pm and they wouldn't take us so?? really sucked because we were excited the whole day to get there, drove an hour, & got turned away for no reason. it took planning & isn't something we can easily just do again. should probably change posted hours if they plan to stop accepting people earlier. :/ read more

This isn't your average Starbucks or Dunkin sweet drink. No artificial flavoring which is a plus for me. It's a nice and cozy spot. I tried the vanilla matcha which was really good I was able to taste the matcha and the vanilla syrup was not over powering or had a foul after taste. I also tried the chai latte with matcha it had no nasty after taste/ artificial flavoring. Tried the salted pistachio matcha latte one of Emma's signature drinks was good no overly sweet artificial pistachio that leaves you bloated. Despite all the bad reviews claiming the drinks weren't sweet/ or left a nasty after taste and the drinks being expensive the price is right compared to other LA spots like community goods that charge way more for a smaller cup than what chamberlain is offering. The wait time was good it was about 15mins max, the work flow the baristas have going on is really good and all drinks were exceptionally good and came out in a timely matter. customer service was good and Mike was the sweetest !giving recommendations etc. overall I will be coming back. read more

i got a chai and i didn't even finish it. the line was over an hour and it being emma chamberlain i thought it would at least be alright but it was awful. it tasted like lightly spicy water. the place is cute and the staff is nice but i also tried 2 different matcha drinks and a coffee and all of it was awful. save your money and go somewhere else. read more
