This is right in 2nd street so find parking on the street or try one of their public parking sections throughout the area. Came for their biscoff latte and this was good Came with biscoff crumbles on top and got this with almond milk. Inside the shop has room to chill or study with enough seating and the music is not too loud which i liked. I recommend

Best coffee spot ever! 1. It's a great location. 2. Super clean! 3. They were giving out free samples of lychee lemonade-which was amazing! 4. Woman owned! 5. Delicious bakery items! 6. Ube, do I need to say more? That's Perenia, the owner in the background. They have cute board games, convenient outlets, a covered patio and really good AC inside and a clean bathroom!

I ordered a banana cold foam latte over ice and a cookie butter iced latte large as well. The cookie butter was for someone else but they like their stuff super sweet so to them it was so good but to me it was too sweet. The banana cold foam latte has a balance between sweet and coffee so it's not too sweet & it's tasty. We went like five minutes before they closed and they had great presentation of their drinks. Thank you for the amazing service and quiet ambiance, they have remodeled it a lot and they have games like Jenga & connect 4 amongst others to play with.

I honestly wanted to try the coffee selection but for me it didn't have any that sounded good at the time. However, I tried the Hashbrown Wrap with Ham as my choice of meat and I can tell you it was the best breakfast wrap I had! Service was friendly and welcoming! The atmosphere was very beautiful and had a few seating area and some games that I saw. Def will come back for their ither options of food!

Cafe is gorgeous with a lot of large windows and plants to make the space very cozy. A few tables are available to do work at and free wifi in the space. The entrance has stairs but there is a wheelchair accessible entrance as well. Staff was super friendly and excited to give recommendations. HUGE Chocolate Croissant that is served heated. Ube latte is nutty and not too sweet. Vietnamese coffee is not as strong as others I had but it is still tasty.

Their avocado Spam/Hawaiian sandwich is the bomb! Look at that cheese pull!

So this place is a sequel or something!? OKAY! Love the time jump! Chapter II Coffee is a small, random coffee joint that has such a variety of drinks and coffees that are cold or hot to choose from. Parking can be a toss up around here. Basically, try to come when you think it won't be busy because it IS at a consistently busy part of Long Beach. So..this place is your standard coffee spot, BUT what made me give this place 5 stars isn't just the cool decorations with plants and books, (They got random plants and books like Swamp Thing's house if he fought for education) not just the amazing Spanish Latte that the cool Filipino servers recommended to me, BUT ... their ALL DAY BREAKFAST menu!! Why!? Because breakfast food rules any damn time! On top of that fact, this place touches my cultures and my heart because man.... they make a damn good Hawaiian Spam Sandwich/Sliders with one hell of a cheese pull! Bruh.. and they add some damn avocados on it to where it feels like an Islander's avocado toast, but with actual protein from the cheese and Spam! I am definitely coming back to try their other breakfast sandwiches like their croissant sandwiches, as well as their other drinks that I haven't tasted yet! Their workers are all so nice, pretty and welcoming too, with phenomenal customer service; for reals. This place is a sequel that actually kicks ass!

The best things about this coffee shop is location, prices and beautifully presented drinks. 2nd street is a prime location, but it also has some tough competition. This was my 1st time to this establishment. I wanted to order something customized, and the lady assisting initially said it couldn't be done, but then called over another employee who said sure. The drink was layered nicely. It looked beautiful. Unfortunately, I found it to be watery. Also, it was served room temp, although over ice which cooled it off once it started to melt. Lastly, it was a bit bitter even after mixing. For an area full of competition, this was just ok.

Was in the area to work out and stopped by to get my morning cup of coffee. It was early enough that I was able to find parking upfront, which is rare for Belmont. The place was packed, which is always a good sign. People enjoying the outdoor seating as well as plenty of people inside visiting or working on their laptop. Walked in and was greeted right away. Having never been there I asked the barista for some recommendations for something that was sweet, but not overpowering. He made some really good suggestions and I ended up going with one of their seasonal coffees. I sat at their little bar area while i waited for my coffee. The vibe was really chill, which is nice because a lot of the other coffee shops in Belmont can be a little too trendy. The coffee was amazing. Just the right mix of sweet. I will definitely be back to try some of their other coffees and one of their breakfast which looked really good, but I had already made breakfast plans with a friend

    Yum on 2nd Street!!

This spot is precious! So cute! I felt so cool sipping my yummy Iced Cookie Butter Oatmilk Latte with cookie crumbles on top! There are knooks to read, work or chat. Awesome art and decor too!

My review is solely on the Iced Matcha Latte. Although the color of the matcha looked promising , the taste was not, it honestly just tasted like straight milk. It was also grainy and it probably just needed to be whisked a bit longer. I can definitely see this cafe thriving if they get better quality matcha or if they try a different recipe. However, I think they focus mainly on their coffee so I'll be back to try something different. Overall the space inside is pretty spacious and the workers inside were friendly.

Love this place so much! The staff is always so friendly. It's a woman owned coffee shop which is always a plus! The coffee is one of the best in town! Great vibes and place to work and hangout. They have board games, indoor and outdoor seating, and good breakfast options. Love their Chagachino and sugar cookie latte! Good cold foams! Definitely recommend this place!!! The coffee never misses.

    Ube Latte & Spanish Latte
    Crystol E.

Before starting our day in Long Beach, we needed our usual coffee fix. We stopped by Chapter 11 Coffee for a drink and a bite to eat. I ordered a Spanish latte, which was delicious! it had plenty of cinnamon, which I love. My boyfriend got an ube latte, which he also enjoyed, but between the two, the Spanish latte was definitely the winner. I had the Supreme Croissant, which comes pretty stacked, and it was so good, it definitely hit the spot. My boyfriend ordered the Hawaiian Spam breakfast (or at least I think that's what it was called), and he really enjoyed it. Overall, if I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely add this spot to my rotation. (Street parking available.)

We started off with a bottle of cab (41.00, ouch)! It was noted as a different brand on their menu and they came with a bottle of Josh Cellars which isn't a bad table wine but about 3 times the price! We ended up ordering the fondue for the app (24.00) which comes with bite size pieces of bread and diced apples. It was ok, a little too runny and had an interesting hint of beer flavor. Next up we both ordered the brie & prosciutto sandwich which came with a side of au gratin and greens. The sandwich was excellent but the potatoes were cold. We ended our meal sharing creme brulee for dessert. It was good but also served cold. Total bill incl tip: 163.00 bucks (double ouch)! Overall, meal and service was good, but I would forego the wine on a future visit as it was way overpriced for the brand we got as well as the cheese fondue. Will definitely be back though. We decided to go with a Hot Cinnamon Dulce Latte and an Iced Blueberry Lavender Latte. While waiting, there were plenty of chairs, tables, a comfy couch and even a bar area to sit and relax. Tons of board games, books and wonderfully mellow music helps make the experience feel comforting and inviting. Our drinks were prepared quickly and shouted at the coffee bar for pickup. The presentation was great, but the flavors, out of this world! The Cinnamon Dulce Latte was OUTSTANDING. So good, in fact, that my girlfriend stole it from me! The line was long, but it moved efficiently to the cashier, and like always, the food was great. The only issue I had was the group of ladies arguing with the supervisor about their seating arrangement. I understand that the table felt wronged, and everyone has the right to voice their concerns. Everything feels clean, classy and thoughtfully put together. When you first arrive, seeing the line out the door can be a little intimidating. Usually at places like this, I feel like I have to fight for my life to find a table, but thankfully that wasn't the case here. The staff was very kind and asks how many are in your party and helps you get a table, which made everything much less stressful. They also give you menus while you wait so you can decide what you want ahead of time. We arrived at 10:30am and our wait was about 30 minutes so by the time we were able to order at 11am, the lunch menu was also available. I ordered the tater tots, Cinnagave Shaken Espresso, Dutch Baby Pancake and country sourdough toast with jam. With tax and tip, my total came out to around $40. It's definitely pricier than what I normally pay for breakfast. Most entrées range from $17-$34 and coffees are around $5-$10, so you can easily spend $30+ for one person. In these hard times, that's not exactly ideal for me. I also wanted to try a pastry to get the full experience, but when I found out the small blackberry danish was $7, I decided to pass. I just couldn't justify getting that close to $50 for breakfast for one person. Now for the food! The country sourdough toast with jam was actually my favorite item. The homemade sourdough was incredible and honestly deserves its roses. It sounds like such a simple thing, but it was so well done and easily the standout for me. Visually, the Dutch Baby Pancake was beautiful and definitely impressive when it came out. I've always wanted to try one, so I was excited! I will say, I've read everywhere that Dutch babies are supposed to have more of a custardy center and even the photos I've seen look that way. Mine didn't really have that texture at all and tasted more like a crepe. Maybe it was a little overcooked? It wasn't bad, just not quite what I expected. Still delicious! Unfortunately, the tater tots were the biggest disappointment. They weren't crispy, didn't taste seasoned and sort of fell apart until they became one big potato mess. My cousins and I ended up not finishing them. One of my cousins ordered the summer peach and corn salad, which she liked! Just a heads-up that it's only available after 11 a.m. My other cousin got the skillet, she mentioned feeling a little disappointed since it tasted a little dry and didn't finish her plate. However they both ordered the Curious George drink and LOVED it! The Cinnagave Shaken Espresso was also fantastic. Coffee is definitely something they do very well here and I can see myself getting again. Overall, the aesthetics are adorable and I could see this being a great date spot. The coffee was fantastic, the sourdough was amazing, but the rest of the food was just okay for us. That was a little disappointing because everything sounds SO good on paper. Maybe we just caught them on an off day. The prices are probably the biggest thing holding me back from coming back regularly. Spending $30-$40+ per person for breakfast isn't really in my budget right now, but if this is within your price range, you may have a completely different experience. When I review a place, I try to take the overall experience, personal taste and effort into account. For now, I'm leaving Zuzu's Petals at 4 stars because the effort is definitely there, and what isn't my cup of tea may be someone else's liquid gold. I'd still give them another chance in the future... after I get paid!

The menu has a ton of really detailed options, each drink with its own depth. The menu changes seasonally but what doesn't change is the smoked old fashioned - a must-order. They smoke your drink in a glass container using applewood chips; it's quite a show and it also does make the drink much more enjoyable. Ask the bartender and they can also help guide you to a drink - I've done it a couple of times and always pleasantly surprised. Next up, the food! The hummus was very flavorful and paired with an amazing fluffy pita bread. The truffle fries were solid but the plate was HUGE, definitely needs a friend to share. The Nashville wings are the star of the show. I cannot stress this enough, this is worth a DRIVE for. The seasoning really does remind you of Howlin' Rays (the highest compliment) and the chicken is extremely crispy yet insanely juicy. The pickles and ranch that it comes with pairs so well. Do note that they are tossing it in pork fat, which enhances the depth but also makes it a little greasy at the end. I also wished they'd warn you this and offer to order it without it; especially for those who don't eat pork or for those trying to cut some calories. There's a happy hour menu too!!! So you can get drinks and food even cheaper. I cannot stop thinking about this place. It's such a sleeper. Head to Midnight Oil after a visit to continue your night.

I had recently had a very notable version of the same dish at a Canopy by Hilton in Washington DC, and unfortunately, this one did not measure up. The breading was average and the sweet chili aioli was poor. I asked for ranch instead, which was an improvement but still not great. The portion itself was fine. Service was solid and friendly! I'd rate the staff around a 4. Based on the food I had, the kitchen lands closer to a 2.5 to 3. Fine if you're already in the hotel and want something casual, but not an amazing choice for the fried seafood.
