My hubby and I frequent 2nd Street often on a Sunday and we've passed this coffee spot always wanting to give it a try (we've typically already gotten coffee in Seal Beach at Javatini before LB). Well today was the day tie double caffeine. My hubby got a triple shot espresso and I, the pumpkin cloud iced and a warmed ham and cheese croissant. When I say that pumpkin drink was delish, I mean I drank the large I. 2.7 seconds delish! The cold foam is hazelnut and it added such a burst of yumminess to the drink. Mmm The croissant itself was absolutely perfect. Reminded me of one in Paris, flaky, buttery and soft. The ham and cheese would've been better if spread throughout vs just in the center. Still yummy but probably wouldn't get fit $7.50. The staff were very helpful with a suggestion (pumpkin drink) and friendly as we entered and left. The place itself is decorated nicely and has many spots to enjoy your beverage at. With tables and chairs inside and out. We DEFINITELY will be back! I'm bummed the pumpkin drink is seasonal though. read more

Love this coffee shop. Everything is great and they have mugs for enjoying in house. The Spanish latte is great when I want a treat. The staff is all so helpful and especially Damien who has been here since I started coming. The food is really good too! I like the breakfast croissant the best. read more

Came here for my lunch break for a quick bite and coffee and it was cute! The decor was precious and left room for people to work/study or meet up with a friend. The coffee latte was pretty but VERY sweet. I think lining the cup with cookie butter and adding cookies and more butter on top of the cold foam was just too much. However I got the croissant sandwich which absolutely slapped. I'll totally come back for that one. read more

My wife and I wanted to try a new coffee shop on 2nd street. We decided on this place after passing it a few times in the past. We had an espresso, pumpkin cloud latte, and an ham & cheese croissant. My espresso was rich, bold, and delicious. My wife inhaled her croissant sandwich with a gleam in her eyes. She enjoyed washing it down with the tasty pumpkin cloud latte. I had the most amazing hot apple cider I was feeling like I wanted something refreshing so I asked for it iced and the flavor was so amazing with a great balance of apple with a little bit of the spices combined. It was perfect to sip on while I watched the Christmas parade. The service was also excellent. The ambience offered a warm inviting vibe and all of the individuals working there offered kind words and warm smiles. read more

Came here once for the ube latte and now im addicted and this place has officially been added to my coffee roster. They have macadamia milk here too which is a rare find Haven't tried the food here yet but the açaí bowls look fire. Staff is always nice and friendly here as well and I haven't had to wait very long for my drinks here which is nice. read more

Needed a coffee but didn't want the usual Starbucks, so I decided to check this place out. Their menu is full of interesting choices, including a cold foam Nutella latte with hazelnut cream. It was as good as expected, maybe a bit sweet, but very refreshing. However, I docked two stars for poor customer service. There were three of us waiting, and it took a while for the service person to notice us. She seemed disinterested in helping and barely announced our orders. They don't take names, so she just called out "Cold" for mine, which I assumed was my drink since no one else moved. I don't usually rate places on customer service since I understand people have bad days, but all three workers seemed unhappy and unhelpful, which made the experience and the coffee just okay. I sat outside to escape the negative vibes inside. With so many other coffee options on 2nd St., it's not worth returning for a "meh" experience. read more

My favorite place to go for coffee on 2nd street!! I LOVE their banana cream pie latte and I haven't found anything else like it anywhere else! Cute space with a lot of healthy food options. The staff are very sweet. There is seating inside and outside. food: I got a blueberry muffin. It was moist and a pretty good size. drinks: I got their sweeter drinks. I got their cold foam Nutella latte and their green machine juice. ambience: perfect place to sit and read or catch up with a friend. PARKING IS DIFFICULT TO FIND but I think it is worth it. I have given this place multiple chances as it the closest coffee shop to my house, however, I am disappointed every time. The coffee is just straight up not good. The sign says they use Rose Park coffee, which I enjoy, but for some reason it's undrinkable here. The latte foam looks like a bubble bath. Not smooth and very bitter. It seems like they just hired friends, but a professional barista would make a huge difference. They do have good kombucha on tap and would love for them to figure it out. But for now, there are much better coffee options on 2nd street. read more

Went recently and tried out the banana latte and the hash brown wrap. The total came out to $22. I was very underwhelmed with the drinks and food. The drinks were not good at all. It did not taste like banana and the latte was extremely watered down. The wrap was also very bland. In addition, when we walked in, we were not greeted at all by the staff. When I walked up to the counter, I was not greeted either. The guy working looked like the customers were inconveniencing him. Not a good experience at all, but nice ambiance. read more

Best coffee place around! My friend and I walked in after a workout to grab a coffee and didn't know what to choose from so we asked the front desk manager and she was very friendly very helpful. She gave us a range of options and my friend decided that she wanted to try cookie butter along with Banana cream pie so she couldn't make a choice and the manager gave her an option of trying the cookie butter coffee with the banana cream pie on the top and it was amazing if you are Hispanic and you know what a Chocomil is it exactly like that! It was pretty good. I actually had a pistachio cold brew and that was pretty good. The only thing I would suggest is probably to ask for light ice there's more ice than there is coffee. I was visiting from the Bronx when I came across this nice looking coffee shop. it wasn't my typical coffee chain but I gave it a shot anyway. The smell when you first walk in of fresh brewing coffee will always make me smile and this place did this instantly. I got my typical Cafe con leche which thankfully was not a problem for them to make but that bacon, egg, and cheese with avocado on a croissant was honestly to die for. So buttery and flakey and the smoothness of the avocado just kinda took it over the top. if I ever visit again I will most definitely be coming back and bringing my family/friends who enjoy coffee with a good sandwich. read more

Breakfast date at Chapter II Coffee. We had to use Uber Eats credit, so we decided to find a coffee place. There are a bazillion options on the app. We are new to town and had no clue where to try. So we randomly picked this. Despite only 6 google reviews. Wow, This place was pretty yummy! I would definitely come back. If you get here before 10am, parking is free!
