This is my third or fourth time eating here. I would say it's okay but definitely not wow. Most of the dishes tend to have a sweeter flavor profile. I expected the samosa chaat to be a bit spicier and tangier, and the pani puri could have used aloo. A lot of the dishes are made with ragda, which I am not a huge fan of. There are lots of other food trucks nearby. The food truck prices in Austin have really gone up. The starting prices are around $8.99 to $9.99 which feels very expensive. This is an international food truck zone, so you can find a variety of different options.

Feb 28, 2025 review: My husband and I went there on Fri evening. Good weather and weekend start definitely resulted into rush at all food trucks. It's a diverse set of good trucks that area. Good lightening and seating options available. It has Gujarati good, South Indian, North Indian, halal, indo-chinese, ice cream and couple more places. We got the dahi puri and vada pav. I wanted to try dabeli but it was already out by that time. Vada pav was ok, have had better in Austin. It felt dry and spicy. Dahi puri was amazing!! Definitely would recommend to try it. Wait time is decent, 15-20 mins for chat items. We paid $18 for 2 vada pav and 1 dahi puri.

It's in the big food truck park on Anderson mill road. I'd heard so much about this place, so wanted to give it a try. I didn't like it the first time but given how popular this place is, I decided to give it another shot only to be disappointed again. I tried the pav bhaji, bhel puri and dahi vada. Only to be disappointed by all three. :( Vada pav want served on the classic Bombay Pav, was unnecessarily spicy not favorfully spicy. Dahi vada wasnt fresh - the vada was hard and tasted something fatty like buttery. I don't get why this place is so popular? There is plenty of seating here and they really have made it into a nice food park.

We've been here a few times and have enjoyed every visit. We've had their bhel puri, raj kachori, samosa chaat, ragda pattice, dabeli, etc. Flavors are great every time. We usually ask for mild with no raw onions, and they're great at delivering what we want. Their pav bhaji was on the more exciting side of medium than mild, but in a good way. We know we'll be back.

I have been here multiple times, and I would say the food is average. Every dish tastes the same, and most are made with ragda. Last time, I tried their pav bhaji and dabeli, which were just okay. It could be better, and there are other places that stand out. There are lots of other food trucks so our plan was to try out from multiple vendors one or two items at-least. There is plenty of parking, but it can be full on weekends.

As a person who had never had chaat before, I really enjoyed this place!! I ordered the chaatpati special chaat and the two piece samosas. Both were great! I had no idea what the flavor profile was going to be like for the chaat and it was surprisingly sweet! It had crispy flour strips that had some sort of sweet and savory sauce on them with deep fried rice and lentil on top. The samosas were also great and was served with a sweet chutney. It was super filling so I have a ton left over, not sure how it's going to reheat though. The staff was super kind giving me suggestions of what to order and there was plenty of seating outside. I will be back :)

This place has excellent customer service and opened on time. I got the Papdi Chaat and the balance of ingredients is excellent. Chutney and chick peas are tasted good. The seating area is shaded to get away from the sun and fans are available! Overall nice ambiance! They are currently short staffed but still received our order in a timely fashion. Awesome place! Plentiful parking as well!

Perfect place for some Indian Chaat (street food). This is legit the best place is Austin to enjoy some chaat. Gets busy in the evenings so seating is sometimes a struggle, but overall, a must try!! My go to since day 1 :)

Dropped by here for some chaat, it did not disappoint but wasn't the best chaat either and definitely more overpriced than it should be. There are a lot of food trucks next to it incase you want variety.

Best chaat place in Austin. Reminds me of the street food of Bombay. Vada Pav is crispy and spicy and so are other chaats.

There was one customer waiting, and not another person. I waited about ten minutes. My son loves chicken Tikka masala, so we ordered him some. It is spicy. I'm into a moderate spice, and this is burning my lips as I type. There was no option when ordering online to determine level of spice so we weren't ready for that. Beyond the spice the chicken was tough, so even if the spice was toned down the chicken wasn't great. The tandoori chicken is nice and flavorful and tender. $17 for three drumsticks and two thighs might be a bit steep. Overall not an overwhelmingly good experience.

We also went with the momo (Nepali Dumplings. We went with the Kothey momos which you can choose from veg or chicken ($9) and they come with 5 served with a dipping sauce. These were another hit! Out of all the places nearby, Sangam stands out the most to me. This place is ALWAYS busy from open to close, every day of the week, and after eating here for years, it's easy to understand why. You can literally smell the fresh curries from the nearby HEB. The aroma alone makes you hungry. We've been coming since they first opened, and it's been great watching them continue to improve and expand the restaurant over time. The staff is attentive, friendly, and constantly checking in to help with orders or anything else you need. We've tried a huge variety of dishes over the years. Several curry's such as the Chettinad special curry, butter chicken, tikka masala, chicken 65, several biryanis, all consistently delicious. One of my personal favorites is the plain dosa and curry combo, which comes with four different chutneys that are all fantastic. Even my young son loves coming here because they have things like shrimp noodles and fried rice that are kid friendly while still tasting great. We used to mostly order to-go, but lately we've started dining in more often because the experience itself is so enjoyable. Service is quick, the atmosphere is comfortable, and I really appreciate the details. The artwork and photos on the walls, the music, and the lighting that isn't overly bright. They even dim it more in the evenings, which makes it feel even more relaxed and welcoming. Every visit has been a great experience for our family. Easily one of our favorite restaurants in the area.

Before going, we browsed the online menu, and what immediately caught my attention was the focus on the west coast of India, especially Goa, Mangalore, and Kerala. It was refreshing to see something beyond the usual North Indian or standard South Indian fare that most restaurants tend to offer. We were tempted to order widely, but in the end we chose two starters and one entrée. The mushroom and paneer starters were both excellent, yet very different from each other. The paneer was smooth and rich, almost comforting in its finish, while the mushroom dish had a gentle tang that brightened every bite. The contrast worked beautifully. For the entrée, we chose the Bunt Kori Gassi, a Mangalorean chicken dish. The flavors were delicate and well balanced, with spices that enhanced rather than overwhelmed. We paired it with Malabar parottas and aappams, which were perfect for soaking up the gravy. Even the complimentary rice stood out. It was not the usual basmati, but a more local variety, a small detail that showed the thoughtfulness behind the meal. The sol kadhi, made with kokum, brought back memories of home. It had that familiar cooling tang that is hard to replicate. We finished with mango kulfi, which was subtle, not overly sweet, and a gentle way to end the meal. The chef came out to greet us personally, which made the experience even more meaningful. He explained that they use mostly organic ingredients and avoid artificial colors. We shared our appreciation for both the food and the service and left hoping they continue to maintain these standards. The menu is already being expanded, including a section for more traditional Indian restaurant offerings. We are looking forward to returning and exploring more of what they have to offer.
