Stayed in Silverthorne for a couple nights and found this sub place to try for dinner. I got a Kali Mist pinner and oh my god, was it delicious! I ordered it as it comes, even though I was a little weary about the jalapeño peppers (I usually don't like eating peppers on sandwiches), but I am so glad I left it because the jalapeños gave the sandwich a perfect kick with just a little heat. I ordered it on garlic herb bread and it was so tasty- crunchy yet still soft and fresh. I devoured almost the entire thing in one sitting and I craved more for the next 24 hours so I had to get the same thing for dinner the next night too (and it was just as incredible). If you're a fan of subs, this place is for you. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the Silverthorne area or anyone traveling around the area. read more

This place is like Quiznos but with a better atmosphere. Checked out this sandwich shoppe after spending the day at Keystone. Finding a place and meets all your needs ski apres is always challenging, but this hit the spot. I'm not a huge meat eater (I do eat it, but prefer a good veggie sandwich when offered). We waited in line and ordered at the counter with a nice, friendly, funny employee. The sandwiches come in different "Cheeba" sizes, such as Nug (4"), Pinner(8"), and Blunt(12"). I chose my sandwich and my bread type and obviously got everything on it. I got the Silver Haze: Swiss, hummus, banana peppers, spring mix, onion, tomato, pickle, cucumber, sprouts, 'shrooms, black olives & house dressing I wish I had one right now. Was looking for a quick bite to eat on the way out to the mountains. Saw the high ratings, but didn't want to get my hopes up -- after all, this is just a sandwich place, and I had recently been burned before by another highly rated sandwich shop a town or two away. However, these guys are KILLING IT. Loved that they had a whole vegetarian section to their menu. Ordering was quick and fast. One thing I wish is that they'd do a little diagram to show the dimensions of each one of their three sizes (yes, I get that the "Blunt" size is the large one, but how large is large???) Ordered the Mushroom Magic veggie sub. The bread was perfectly toasted but still soft. Never burnt. The sauces and flavors were bright, fresh, and tasty as all heck. We grabbed our subs to go and if you've ever eaten on the road in your car, you know how terrible it is when the sandwich juice drips down your arm. None of that going on here! Three cheers to great sandwich making! The interior of the space is fun. There is definitely a stoner vibe/theme (Dazed and Confused poster in the bathroom, lots of stoner allusions in the decoration and naming of the subs), but it's fun and playful. Was charmed by the fact there is a very small bar in the back of the restaurant where they were playing epic movies (Braveheart was on the TV). Mondo is usually behind the bar and always is upbeat and fun to talk to while he is flying around The beer is cold , lots of local brews, and the toasted sandwiches are awesome. Don't forget to ask for the secret menu , I always get the "Death Star" and it's mind blowing. Be sure to bypass the line out the door and belly up to the bar in the back. I score a 8.0955. To start the food was not bad or fantastic, just OK and it takes forever. But, funny story (and true) which is the epitome of the meh attitude of this place. While I'm paying, my wife asks the really nice guy at the register if we can get our table wiped off. He politely asks one of his colleagues who says "I just wiped down a bunch of them, sorry". The guy at the register and I stare at each other in disbelief. We both say... "we can see the crumbs from here". He still refuses. Finally I walk over to where he's working behind the counter and say... "ok, give me the rag and I'll wipe it off". Guess what he did? He handed me the rag!! I know what you're thinking... They have a full service bar, with a bar tender that isn't bad looking! ‍ And a fresh selection of subs to choose from. My favorite is the Cali Mist. I've also tried the Mediterranean chicken , Jamaican chicken && the veggie. Overall, everything's always very fresh tasing and doesn't compare to Subway at all! If your looking for a cool place to hangout at with a lot of local snowboarders this is the place to be. There's specials on alcohol and everyone is very friendly. I've been vacationing to Dillon/Silverthorne for many years, maybe 6 or 7, one to two times a year for a week at a time. I've driven past this sub shop too many times to count. Never been here, never noticed it, never heard of it. Tonight my dad and I went in as it was one of the only places open late. Needless to say, I will be back, most likely tomorrow, the following day, and every other day I am out here in Dillon. This was by far the BEST sub I have ever had. Everything about it was amazing there is no need for a list it was a whole 10 out of TEN. The vibe in the place was amazing, from music to paintings, to sticker-bombed railings and pop machines, this place was amazing. It was clean and kept up with, cleaning as people came and went, they even BUSTED OUR TABLE. At a SUB SHOP. PLUS they have a bar where they play sports, wrestling, etc, and have the NICEST bar chairs I've ever seen in a restaurant. This shop was a complete 10/10, everything about it was immaculate. HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a good lunch, dinner, or even breakfast if your feeling it as they have so much on the menu to choose from. You will leave this place feeling great rather than feeling crappy. And all the staff were also extremely nice, that's another 10/10. 10/10, 10/10, 10/10. We're leaving now after arriving 45 minutes ago just to get a few subs and get back on the highway for our long day. When we finally got our order 30 minutes after placing it, we checked and realized both sandwiches have mayo, which I absolutely detest. They remade that sandwich, increasing our wait time to around 40 minutes. When I started to eat it finally, I opened it up to see and it literally had ONE half of a tomato slice and one wimpy bacon piece. Not impressed and annoyed at the time lost. Of all the locations I've ever been to, this one is by far the worst. The employees are rude and personally I think they don't even try. Anytime you enter the place you are immediately greeted with the feeling that you are an inconvenience for making them do, you know, their actual job. I've never once been able to order via DoorDash because they claim they are always "busy", but tell me I can order carry out....how is this any different than using a delivery service?! Each time after I call to ask about delivery, I end up driving there to pick up my sandwich in which they are not even remotely busy, they just don't want to bother with the slight inconvenience of dealing with dash drivers. Tremendously disappointed to write this review as we love the food, but our experience last week was embarrassing. We planned to order from Cheba Hut for dinner after a long day of zip lining and fishing. I tried to use Door Dash but apparently that is no longer an option. Not a huge concern, I placed our order online and drove to pick it up. When I arrived there was a line of kids (high school students) out the door. I couldn't get into the store (social distancing) and no one would answer the phone. Per their support of COVID safety, they said they would bring it to your car and had a sign over the store with the phone number. This was Friday night at 6 pm. I repeatedly tried calling and didn't know how to get to my food without crawling over the 15 kids in line (it was seriously packed) when I heard someone shout that my order was ready. Great, now how to get to my food? I slunk along the walls trying to bypass the line waiting to order only to find another 15 students inside waiting on their food! There was no way this met the Summit County safety standards. I was thankful everyone had a mask on, but there was zero social distancing and Cheba Hut did not seem inclined to tell people to wait outside for some reason. I grabbed my food and bolted as quickly as possible out of the store. I got home to show my friends the glory of Cheba Hut subs...only to have them put the WRONG order in my bag. My poor pescatarian friend did not get her Humboldt sub with guacamole and veggies, rather she ended up with a mostly chicken Apollo 13 that she was unable to eat. Unfortunately, I can say she won't be back...as this was our only opportunity for her to try out Cheba Hut. I'm not sure if we'll be back as the pickup experience was unnecessary and getting the wrong order was a total failure. read more

I'm from Texas, so I don't know what the rules are here for alcohol in Colorado. I've been to Colorado three times now and this has never happened. But, the bartender denied my ID because it's vertical ID. I came here last year to Cheeba Hut, and had myself a beer when I was 21 using the same ID. He said "we don't accept vertical ID's" never gave me a reason why. He was a prick about it as well, it's the dude with gauges and huge bull nose ring.
