I'm not one to complain because I know how stressful and fast paced working in restaurants can be - spent five years of my life in that world, and grew up eating Cheddar's with my family. Last weekend, I placed a delivery order for two spinach dips and two entrees. Never received the spinach dips and one side. When I called to resolve the issue - the host replied with "Are you sure you fully checked the bag?""Ummm, I can't find your order. I've been doing the to go orders all night and I don't remember yours.. *a few mins pass* oh there it is!" Once she finds the order she doesn't say anything else and puts me through to the manager. The manager was kind of enough to reimburse me for the spinach dips and mashed potatoes, but no apology was given. I love the spinach dip. A week goes by and I am still craving their delicious spinach dip. I place a pickup order this time for one entree and one spinach dip. Guess what was missing? The spinach dip. I have to say lately I've been on a steak kick and cheddars did not disappoint! I mean look at my steak (pic was included) it came out juicy and delicious, it's perfect with a beer or 3, so yum! The food at this Cheddar's was great, everyone in my party was pleased with their meal. I will say the service was a pleasant experience with Mallory K. serving several tables and keep every order and request on track. We all like the ambiance as soon as we entered the establishment, it was clean, spacious and lots of room. I will include the restrooms are amazingly spotless and smell fresh. We'll Cheddar's I have been a patron for over 35 years and yesterday was the worse service ever. The waiter was training someone but he needed training as well. Our total bill was well over $300 and everyone tipped, for a party of 10 and my grandson wanted his celebration there. Our food was ok but the Painkillers alcoholic beverage had so much syrup on the outside that my party had to keep washing their hands. It appears the chicken fried chicken batter has changed because the coating was dry and tasteless. Our tables was only cleared if we handed our plates to the waiter and his trainee. The waiter was QUICK to get payment then never came back and we were there 20 minutes after payment with our table not cleared and no drink refills. The staff was present talking at another table so we were seen. The carpets really need to be removed because walking was difficult due to the sticky residue and also the chairs were filthy and we had to change chairs after a person in the group had old food on her pants. read more

I asked the server what was going on and she said she wish she knew. With that said...the food was HORRIBLE. It was obviously processed and pre-cooked at some off-site warehouse. My Fish and shrimp and my husbands chicken fried steak were dropped in a fryer and brought out and placed in front of us. It was luke warm at best. I will NEVER, EVER CROSS THAT THRESHOLD AGAIN! We had a Cheddar's gift card that we had received and had dined at Cheddar's for quite a while. Neither one of us wanted to cook so we decided to head to Cheddar's for dinner. We arrived right smack in the middle of the dinner run but didn't have to wait at all, we were seated immediately. The restaurant was really hopping, there were very few unoccupied tables. Our server greeted us cordially and took our drink orders. While waiting for our beverages to arrive, my wife and I looked over the menu. She's a chicken tender sort of a gal and that's what she ordered, chicken tenders with French fries and Cole Slaw. I decided on the country fried steak accompanied with mashed potatoes with cream gravy and southern green beans. I also decided to order a house salad with Bleu Cheese dressing. While we were waiting, an order of Cheddar's incredible fresh baked croissants was brought to the table. After biting in to one of them, with the icing drizzle, I thought, why not cancel the country fried steak and just eat croissants for my dinner! Heck, I'm an adult, well sort of, I can do that! After an acceptable wait, due to the restaurant being so busy, our entrees were delivered to our table. Our food was plated very nicely, the presentation was good. My wife said her chicken tenders were really good and she loved the French fries, fried and seasoned to perfection. My country fried steak was OK. I should have sent it back, but I knew how busy the kitchen was and I didn't want to wait for another one to be prepared. As you can see in the photo, there were parts of it that was really overcooked, over-fried. The coasting had separated from the steak cooking the meat inside too much, with the oil getting under the breading, the meat wasn't tender, but way overcooked. My sides, the green beans and the mashed potatoes were both very good and well prepared. At a later day, we'll head to Cheddar's once again and give them a whirl. I saved my full appetite for this. On a Sunday, We joined a 15 minute waitlist @7:15pm due to a large party. We then got sat at 7:29pm, By the time we got sat we were ready to order. Our server Nehemiah had everything cleaned and ready for us to go with the fresh croissants. Not even 10 minutes later our food was ready,fresh, and hot getting served before our beverages. Nehemiah went above and beyond to give us the best experience we could have. I've never been to a Cheddars and was out that fast and smooth. The food was great, along with the server. Attended a birthday dinner for a friend at Cheddar's and my son needed to use the restroom. I always peak in for safety reasons before letting him enter alone. There was an emplo inside using the urinal so I told my son wait by the sink and shut the door. 15 seconds later a man exists with hands as dry as sand I asked my son did that man wash his hands to which he stated no. I knew he couldn't have based on how quickly he exited the restroom. Disgust is a understatement. Honestly tonight was the second time we visited this location, because our first experience was a disaster and we wanted to give it a second chance. Today was no different, the restaurant was dirty, carpets are filthy, was are stained, and it has this weird stench to it. Then the hostess is in serious need of customer service training as well as the servers. We order the spinach dip as an appetizer and it never made it to the table just to the check. The waitress was not to be found so busboy brings the food to the table, we asked him for refills and to remove the spinach dip from the check since it never got to us and we didn't want it anymore. We also asked him for Tabasco sauce and for extra ranch dressing out which only the ranch made to the table because instead of Tabasco he brought A1 sauce. My kids burger buns were all stained by the black grease on the grill since obviously the cook forgot to clean before starting a new order. The meat on the burger was super oily still dripping on the buns and buns were soaked. I asked him to change it for a chicken Alfredo, by the time we were almost halfway through our dinner finally the chicken Alfredo made to my Kid and the waitress only said will make sure to remove the burger and spinach dip from you check my manager is working on it. Manager never made it to the table to apologize after so many mistakes made and at the end of our dinner while trying to pay items were still on the check they were never removed it took a long time to get the waitress to our table and it took an even longer time to remove items from the check that were supposed to be removed almost since we started eating. The reason I'm giving this restaurant a 1star rating is because I can't give half's. Horrible service that location in serious need of new management, and some real customer service classes for the waiting staff. read more

You won't get that crunch at first bite followed by the soft bread, tender juicy mix of the meat & melted cheese, & that perfect blend of savory-salty flavors, DELISH. Their sirloin steak was surprisingly tender & juicy (beyond expectation from a ribeye lover ). The burger was tasty & juicy with generous amount of fries. The side Caesar salad was WORTH IT ($3.99) - it was a full-size salad & was great. Side baked potato with bacon had generous toppings. The broccoli cheese casserole is my favorite side - generous cheese with semi soft broccoli, mildly salty. The New Orleans pasta was pretty good (reasonably priced) but could use more of some Cajun kick. The chicken strips were our least favorite food, crispy but so dry on inside, may have been left in the deep fryer too long. This place is always well-maintained & cleaned despite the crowd. There's always a wait on weekends. We got there at 4:45pm to beat the crowd, but the crowd beat us . Their turn-around was quick, we were told 20min wait but got our table in less than 10minutes. This was my first time eating at Cheddar's, the Host was very polite and Marcos was very patient, kind and helpful. I ordered Salmon, Red Beans and Rice with steam Broccoli. My sister is not a fan of Salmon, she loved mine (so that's a plus). My daughter had the tilapia and shrimp with broccoli as well. She said is was sooo good. My sister had Monte Cristo, she said it was delicious. I wanted a strawberry margarita, I was driving so I ordered a virgin strawberry margarita, they don't offer nonalcoholic margaritas. I give leeway for waiters and waitresses because the job is hard and many place are understaffed but in this case I can't- first there was the sun- it was glaring into our eyes and some of the other patrons. They had asked for the blinds to be closed but no one would do it. Finally my daughter went and closed them. We received the wrong soda - an honest mistake but the amount of time it took to bring us anything was terrible. We were brought the wrong appetizer (one was correct one was wrong). But the worst was that the waiter spilled a drink on me - it the whole thing but a decent amount, said sorry and kind of laughed but never offered to pay for my meal or the cleaning of my white shirt and blue/white pants that are now stained with iced tea. It went all over my pants, bottom of shirt and the floor. He did not even help clean it up , he brought napkins and left. The floor was so sticky my shoes stuck to it. My seat and table area were all wet with the drink and with ice cubes and we had to clean it all up ourselves. No one even stopped to help but many staff walked by. We will never return to this location. Teach your staff some respect and what to do when something like this happens because this was not it. read more

Have been coming to this Cheddar's on and off for decades now. It's popular so dinner rush and weekends can get really crowded. Writing my post today to call out one of their current bartenders. I took my mom out to lunch today (5/12/23) since Cheddar's is on the way to the cemetery where we were going to visit my dad's site. We ordered Long Island iced teas since you don't see those often on cocktail menus here. What we get are two drinks made of lemonade and iced tea vodka with a lime wedge. Which is the Texas Sweet Tea, the next item on the menu. We sent my mom's back to get it remade. Our waitress came back saying the bartender had said "that's how I make it" or something close to that. She ordered a glass of wine instead. At a neighboring table, a couple got some drinks and after tasting one they asked for the menu again. They sent back a margarita since "it didn't taste like what was described on the menu". It seemed like the lunch service was short staffed. We got in at 1 and left around 2, lot of waiting time before we saw our waitress. The food came out correctly, the kitchen was on point. I just had an issue with a bartender who is sending out multiple drinks wrong and refuses to accept that they're wrong when it's obvious they made a drink incorrectly. We'll likely come back and just stick to water, soda, or anything else simple. read more

We came in today around 7:30pm for 2 people. My pregnant wife and I. A hostess with long straight red hair kindly sat us at a table immediately! We sat there for over 20 minutes unattended. We watched other servers in the area attend to their tables within minutes while we were left neglected. I've been going to Cheddars since my junior high days! We went there for nostalgia purposes but were disappointed in the lack of care by the staff/management. The table croissants were huge with lots of honey butter on them, which was a nice surprise. Ordered the trio sampler, chips and queso, and spinach dip. They were pretty good, except the queso cooled quickly and became waxy. Spinach dip and the trio sampler were good and had plenty of food for our small party. The kids meals of shrimp and pasta Alfredo had plenty of food, and the kids said they were pretty good. The Cajun pasta wasn't spicy, but had a good seasoning to it. Lots of sausage and seafood mixed in it. The pot pie was huge with lots of good crust and filling. The grilled salmon and broccoli were light without a lot of oil or butter. The table was definitely too small to fit all of our plates and we constantly had to rearrange our drinks and food. Obviously, the hostess didn't understand this area in the bar was meant for 2 people. Our server, Ashley, was very attentive and friendly. She came by frequently with extra napkins or drink refills. We got a chocolate cake to go, and it had lots of frosting and was moist. The only thing that bothered me throughout our whole experience was the lack of care by the hostess staff or servers who weren't busy nd could've swept and cleaned up all the walking areas. We walked in, and there were straw wrappers everywhere and under the tables. A young woman came by with the floor sweeper, but it barley picked up anything. I went to the restroom, and there were 2 young servers doing nothing but talking and hanging out at the entrance. This place definitely could use a good cleaning. I think it's just the immaturity of the hosts and servers who didn't care of the look of the place. It seemed dirty everywhere. "If you got time to talk or lean, then you got time to clean." - common phrase in restaurant/retail lingo. They need to enforce this immediately! Our server was great, however, there were visible insects in the bathroom as well as our table. I've been to several Cheddar's locations, in several states and this one has the worst quality of food. The honey butter croissants were cold and obviously not fresh. The honey butter had a weird freezer burnt taste. I ordered the Dijon chicken with mushrooms, which is my favorite, the chicken was way over cooked and dry, even with the watered down sauce. I ordered the steamed broccoli as a side and it was obviously not fresh and over cooked. As we were leaving I noticed there were what appeared to be bullet holes on the front windows that had been covered with blue duct tape. I may try the other locations in the DFW area, but definitely will not go back to this one. read more

However this location has been in desperate need of better management since before the pandemic. We seem to forget why we don't come to this location every 6 months and without fail the service is abominable. Staff is poorly trained and under-supervised. This time the appetizers never came before our meals got to the table, so we cancelled them. No manager ever came out to apologize, no table touch happened ever. Then since we came to use the desert coupon we ordered and waited over 20 mins for the dessert. Should have ordered it when we ordered the appetizer. If you have an abundance of patience and want some good scratch food this location can work for you. Just know it will be well below acceptable service. Where do I begin. Had a bad experience with seating about a year ago. More specifically, our group of 12 not being accommodated, even though a call ahead had been placed fast forward a year later, we decided to try again, but with a party of 6. We got there at 4:15 and although it was not crowded, we were told it was going to be a 15-20 min wait, due to it being shift change. As we waited, another customer entered and was told the same thing. She walked around the corner spied a table and told the hostess that she would be taking that table. And she did. I decided to do the same. However, I was stopped, being told we would have no server. Eventually we were seated at that very table. Since this posting has already been too lengthy so I will stop. The restroom had three stalls and one of them was clogged with a mountain of toilet paper, no soap in dispensers and only extra hot water on the right sink. Our wait time was "15 minutes" but ended up being about 30. We understand places are understaffed so we waited patiently. My mother and I ordered a pain killer and it was delicious but extra messy. We both ordered Cajun pasta and my poor mom found a hair strand in her food half way through. Our food was warm but not fresh .
