Great service! Our server was attentive and VERY polite. He checked on us to ensure we were good as well as our entres. The food was always great here. I love their broccoli cheddar casserole! It's a must have as a side to any dish I get here. My main dish to order here is the chicken tenders, buffalo style and a side of ranch to dip with. Sometimes I'll get honey mustard. Another thing I like here is their combinations: chicken tenders & shrimp, top sirloin steak and chicken tenders, or top sirloin steak and shrimp. Can you tell what my favorite food items are now? So I've been to this restaurant before I started living in Houston and I have to say they do have good food! I have never been disappointed with any meal I've ordered. I don't know where to begin, food is good however I came here on a Saturday night and the place was packed I ordered my food to go and as I was waiting for my food I went to the bathroom which was horrible. The floors were dirty in the dining area and the bathroom needed to be cleaned . I can just imagine what the kitchen area looked liked , also the servers need to wear hair nets . Tonight was my second time at this location. I didn't have a problem the first time though. We were seated immediately upon entering but it took us 15 minute to have our server arrive and a total of 30 minutes to get our water. I had to get up to ask the hostess for our beverages and asked if I could speak to the manager or someone but no one ever came. When our food arrived (we only ordered an appetizer and entree), the side was incorrect and was missing the ranch that normally comes with it. When we asked for the side exchange, the waiter was kind to give us the fries that was incorrectly given but then forgot the ranch again. When it came time to pay the check, he also forgot to take off the appetizer cost for the coupon we showed him when we first ordered. If tonight's course of events at the restaurant didn't explain Murphy's Law, I'm not sure what does. Overall, it was a bad experience but the food was good. I think our server was new. He was nice, just inexperienced and our meal took longer than we intended as a result but he seemed like a good guy. I'd pick cheddar's over chili's any day. It gives me simple American food at VERY affordable prices, and their portions are huge! Casual dining. It was already relatively busy on a Friday afternoon around 4--I used to work at a chili's and this was our dead hour so I assumed it was because people are only heading home/getting ready for dinner...but apparently not THESE people at cheddars! We went to the Cheddar's in Humble - 9500 location. We went to celebrate my niece's fifteenth birthday. We had a party of 14 and arrived at 2:30pm. We waited patiently until 4:00pm to be seated. They escorted us to the section and as we were being seated the manager came and stated that they could only serve 10 of us and 4 of us would have to continue to wait. There were empty tables and the manager kept saying they had to seat other parties. Of course we left but .... She ruined the birthday celebration. The food at cheddars is fantastic.  The side dishes very tasty, I almost wanted to order more of their red beans and rice to take home. So much flavor, and not super spicy that my tongue falls off. The rips were tender, but slathered in way too much BBQ sauce in my opinion. The proportion of rice on my plate was very small and the grilled shrimp was decent but it didn't leave too much of an impression. The staff was very friendly and greeted us with smiles. They don't' technically do the birthday thing that some restaurants do, but one generous man brought us out a cake. Came here for a lunch with fellow employees. We walked in about 11:30. I asked for a table for 8. When we were seated, we noticed 2 tables put together for us. This would have left us with very little personal space so we grabbed another table and all was well. On to the food...I ordered the redfish. The crab sauce was excellent, the fish was a bit overcooked but it did have a great flavor. We also had excellent customer service. One thing that stuck out; a colleague ordered salmon sans butter. It seems they would have just cooked it in another type of fat like olive oil or something and brought it out. Instead, her dish came out when we were halfway through our meal. I went to the bathroom and came back while everyone who were originally there had been seated and a new group was there so I just knew we were sure to be next. We had a table of 4 and they had 5. I don't know nor do I care the policy but I know that I was waiting way longer than them. Distrimination! When I called back to complain because I left of course because my money spend just like theirs, another Mgr (Antonio?) tried to make it right and took my info saying he would send a gift card for my inconvience but that never happened. We arrived with 9 people and asked if they had a table or spot big enough to seat us, and the hostess said that they have a party area but of course it was only used for weekends. So they sat our group maybe 20 feet away from that room with small tables put together and facing the bright sunlight. When we asked the manager why the meeting room was off limits as it's only a few feet away and the doors are even open, he said it was just policy that he could not use those tables unless it was a weekend, which he himself said it didn't make any sense read more

Overall experience was good our server greeted the table promptly after we were seated. He took the order for our drinks and appetizers. When the food came out everything looked great and we didn't have to wait to long. My two complaints are , entrees were too salty ( could be my preference but pretty salty, and waited at the host desk for a while before being greeted) easy things that could be worked on. First off when I came it smelled bad I don't know if there was a leak or there's no good maintenance on the place because when we got seated the table was sticky and felt dirty. I used to come here all the time but the times have changed. The staff also needs to be more attentive as well as the hosts. I've never waited so long for a chicken caesar pasta salad, croissant, and a country fried steak. I came here at 9:30pm and placed our order about 15 minutes later. My boyfriend and I made our order quick and simple when the waiter came and asked us for our drink order. We ordered everything at once. Our drink came out quick and we sat and played the waiting game for over a hour for our food. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, there were many empty tables. However the spinach dip is great BUT you only get enough spinach dip for 3 chips . I have some many chips left and no dip .. First impressions: Walk in without full party, was told that we couldn't be seated, 3 other families that weren't full party asking for 12-14 seats and painfully obvious not full, seated before us. waited for about 20 minutes and finally after they seated some more large families we were allowed to have seating. Food: biscuits were delicious as always. kids got chicken tenders and fries and they were good as well. everyone seemed to be happy with their food it just took forever to come out. was nice and hot and my food personally was very good, I got the lemon chicken plate. Atmosphere: sat near the back of the restaurant. didn't get too hot despite it being jam packed full of people. however it was so loud that we were unable to hear each other at our table. let alone your own thoughts. Server: she was great very tentative and on top of everything at our table and the tables around us. I kind of feel bad I couldn't have her at all of our outings because she was fantastic. best part of this experience bar none. Overall: experience turned out ok despite a rough beginning. most likely will not recommend this particular location. You shouldn't feel unwanted at any establishment and the price of admission shouldn't be blatant hatred towards strangers and almost physical violence.
