We like to drop by for the wings. We have tried several of the sauces and liked them all, but is really outstanding is how meaty they are. They are very good sized. The wings are made fresh to order, so either be prepared to wait a few minutes or call ahead. We just wait around. Its a low key, friendly place so conversations come easy. read more

Their food is delicious. The waffles and the tenders with the chili sauce were perfect, no complaints. But for me the best thing was their cheeks chicken sandwich spicy, I added their reaper sauce to it and it tasted amazing. My only complaint is that they don't have fried chicken legs or thighs. They have small wings and tenders but for a fried chicken and waffle joint you need the big boys. It won't stop me from coming here though. read more

I have seen reviews when this was still a food truck and have always wanted to try it. I had an opportunity to eat at the new location and was excited to try. I had a chicken sandwich with mango habañero sauce and hash fries. A fair warning that this looks like fast food but the food is made to order so it does take 10 mins or so to get your food. Chicken breast was succulent and perfectly cooked. Crisp and juicy. Hash fries were excellent as well. Hope to come back soon and hope the area supports the business. read more

I will preface this review by saying that I am from the South, and I pride myself on knowing quality fried chicken. This is it, folks. It is worth your time and is certainly worth your money. Today marked my first time here and I sampled the fried chicken sandwich combo - it was delicious y'all. Bonus points for the creative cut of seasoned fries (or maybe wedges is a better term). The chicken is all white meat and the batter is made from quality ingredients. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the chicken sandwich remained crispy despite the addition of cheese, sauces, and pickles. (I also admit I was skeptical of the cheese but they won me over with it.) I can't wait to try the chicken and waffles next time. I will be back! Ok so, I have to say, I was AMAZED. I have had a few people tell me that I should check this spot out. I've admittedly passed by it numerous times throughout the late summer/fall and never thought much of it. I'm not one to really purchase food from a cart or street corner. Maybe that's because it's never been anything this good! My sister and I went to Cheek's Chicken and Waffles today to try it out for the first time. We ordered two deluxe Cheek's Chicken sandwiches, with hash fries. When we originally saw the container from afar, we thought the chicken sandwiches were going to be small. Boy, were we wrong. Once we opened the box up and took the sandwich out it was a very large sandwich, they definitely did not skimp on the chicken. The breading/batter on the chicken was seasoned generously but without overkill. Once I bit into the sandwich I noticed a smokey orange/red sauce that was on the chicken. I couldn't nail down exactly what it was, but it's definitely the epitome of a "special sauce." It was absolutely to die for. The fries were definitely not a disappointment. Usually when I get fries on the side with something, they are always cold and neglected. Definitely not the case here. They were hot, crispy, and they had a generous sprinkling of a dry seasoning. I'm not a huge fan of seasoned fries, but these were delicious. I was extremely happy with everything I had eaten. It was very fresh and made with passion. I was so excited to hear that they may be opening up a store front. That's not all.. As I was done filling my face in my car (it smelled so good we we did not want to wait to eat at home) I stepped out to throw away my container. I was not exactly sure where I was headed but one of the gentlemen who worked the counter walked past me. He said "How did you like it" and I replied "Lots of people have recommended this to me, so I wanted to try it." He replied "I hope it lived up to the hype" and I said "it did." He then asked me if I could name one thing I would have changed about the sandwich, and honestly I told him I thought it was great and would not change a thing. He said he was happy to hear that and offered to take my container and dispose of it. So not only do you have quality food, you have quality customer service, and people who genuinely have a passion for their food and want to make it even better. I know these guys will succeed because the product is fantastic. Not to mention not to expensive, we had two meals and two sodas for $17! Definitely go give this place a try!! read more

I would like to start off by saying that the front cashier was very accommodating and nice but after that it went downhill. My chicken was uncooked with a lot of red and pink so I requested them to possiblly make it over. Also it looked very soggy and not even slightly fried at all. It looked like there was only one cook and had a hard time handling all the orders. After a long 15 minutes a "manager" finally asked if we wanted the extra wings or a refund but didn't seem apologetic at all. So I asked for the refund, waited with an impression I was going to still get my original ordered compensated for because the cashier told me otherwise. The macaroni bites were horrible. They were not even hot or cheesy. It seemed like they came from a box. I do not recommend the side bbq sauce or sweet chili because it just tasted like the basic asian Mae Ploy eggrolls sauce (from the bottle). Don't come during their peak lunch hours because they can not handle their high volume at all when theyre short of their cooks. Overcharged for off brand cans of soda. read more

Both were delicious, I can speak more to the sandwich which was very juicy, tender, and flavorful. If you like just a slight kick without a ton of spice then this is the perfect sandwich for you, and for only 4.99 on its own. You will wait a bit for your food, I think it was about 20 minutes but I didn't mind that. The reason this review is not a 5 is because I had also ordered a 6 piece wings to try which was not with my order when we got home. I'm hoping that was a fluke and will gladly come back again. I went to Cheek's for lunch on a Friday afternoon and was greeted with a hearty hello by the owner. He let me know that they had sold out of wings for the day but still had waffles and sandwiches. He fresh prepares the chicken every day and makes new waffle batter. I ended up buying a Spicy Chicken sandwich, which was crispy and delicious (though it could use some more kick) and a waffle with Honey Butter and syrup. I loved the sandwich, the sauce was really good but was all over the sandwich. Almost looked like my chicken sandwich took a sauce bathe. I was dissapointed with my waffle for it was half cooked. We have been frequenting Cheeks for several months now. This chicken is so good, it's addictive! Each piece of chicken is huge and juicy, but not greasy at all. The waffles, to die for and don't get me started on the hashy fries - yummy! But the sauces, oh those sauces, they are something you've not experienced before. I highly recommend the secret sauce and the golden bbq. The other important factor is the staff! They truly care about preparing a great product and keeping everything clean. I wish I could give this place a BIG FAT ZERO!!!!!. My co-workers and I ordered over $50 of food. A co-worker went to pick the food up on his lunch break and the people there packed up the order wrong, missing an order of sweet potato fries. I went back to get the fries, calling them ahead of time to have them ready because now I'm using my lunch break to run across town to get fries. I got there and the lady in front did not have the fries ready. It took them almost 15 extra minutes to look up the receipt and make the fries. The manager came out and first blame the lady for packing the bags wrong and missing the fries, then he got rude and ridiculous with me saying that maybe my co-worker was a liar and he probably spilled the fries in his car or ate them and we just wanted more fries without paying. The people at this place are completely outrageous and incompetent. My co-workers and I will never waist our money here again. We will also tell the other hundreds of co-workers in Manchester about our horrible experience. Hopefully they choose not to patronize there either. read more

Wow! We visited on Sunday morning and everything was great. The second we walked in we were greeted by a smiling employee. We had never been here before and when we told her that she was more than happy to explain the menu to us. We were very impressed with the food. I got wings and waffles my girlfriend got tenders and waffles. I had never had chicken and waffles before, boy was I impressed. For sides I had the Mac and cheese and she had corn fritters.
