This location is great! Every staff member that I came in contact was extremely friendly. I was with the girl I work with and she got her food a minute or two before I did and the manager came over and apologized for the wait. Then a crew member saw I was waiting for food and went to go see if it was ready and came back with the food and apologized again for the wai, yet I was not really waiting long at all. Then the manager came over a few minutes later with two cookies for us apologizing yet again for the wait. If you value your time and want an employer to exercise common sense, go anywhere else. At this location the entrance to the Chick-fil-a parking lot is divided into two entrances: (1) drive through, and (2) mobile orders. When things get busy, Chick-fil-a has cars wrap around the Geico parking lot. Today, at approximately 1:20 p.m., the drive through line was packed, but there were only three (3) cars in the mobile order line (which can hold close to 15-20 cars). There were also about 30 cars snaked around the Geico parking lot. I pulled into the mobile order line and was the first car in the right most lane. Moments after pulling in, I was told to leave the mobile order line (where I was the - only - car in the right most lane) and wait on the line in the Geico parking lot. I replied to the manager, (name unknown), that I have a mobile order and the people in the Geico parking lot are waiting for drive through. I further asked why I would have to wait behind drive through orders when I have a mobile order. The manager's response was simply that it is Chick-fil-a's "rule." Regardless of drive through or mobile orders - even if the mobile order line is empty (as it was nearly in this case), the "rule" mandated that any individuals with mobile orders wait senselessly behind all of the people waiting for drive through. Repulsed by the blind allegiance to a "rule", I asked to speak to speak to that manager's supervisor. Thereafter, Jennifer appeared. Unfortunately, common sense did not extend to Jennifer, who similarly recited blind allegiance to Chick-fil-a's "rule". I then requested to speak to Jennifer's manager, who was allegedly not present. Jennifer, incredibly, was the most senior employee working that day. Jennifer did note that on the weekends, they have another employee pull cars out of the Geico line and push them ahead into the mobile orders line if they have their blinkers on (which indicates they have a mobile order). I informed Jennifer that no one had blinkers on in the Geico line. Despite the fact that no other cars had blinkers on, that the mobile order line (at the time I pulled in) had only three cars in total, that I was the first car in the right line, Jennifer demanded that I leave and wait at the end of the line of cars snaked around the Geico parking lot. Instead of going on a fools' errand to literally end up in the same place, I left the line and purchased my lunch elsewhere. This whole experience has been tremendously irritating. Apparently the "rule" of waiting on the line through the Chick-fil-a parking lot is designed to pull cars that have mobile orders - but Chick-fil-a did not staff appropriately. As a result, Chick-fil-a insisted on blind allegiance to a rule (which no longer made sense due to the lack of staffing), with the most senior manager working there that day insisting on full compliance - despite the wholesale absence of logic, coupled with the complete disregard of their customer's time. Apparently Jennifer and the employees at Chick-fil-a would gleefully jump off a bridge if a "rule" required such an outcome. read more

So I ordered a lemonade with my dinner once. I don't know why I didn't get a milkshake because I always get a milkshake at chic fil a, but I guess I just wasn't feeling it that day. Anyway, my family decides to sit at one of the high tables with the stools. I immediately spill the lemonade. The girl who cleaned it up was so nice, way nicer than me if anyone I know would be if some idiot spilled their lemonade before even taking a sip. I was brought a new one which I definitely did not deserve because I was such an idiot. She even brought us cookies, which is just too nice. They were delicious and it made my day. I like it this place is very family oriented and tied in with local community groups such as Boy Scouts another huge reason I like this place is because they are closed on Sunday and they observe the fact that Sunday is a family day. The location is nice enough, and they have two lines for the drive thru. The employees are very nice, also, but the food is meh - at best. Went to the location in Port Jefferson. Def busy on Weds during lunch hour. They were very organized bc both drive thru lines were steady moving. I went inside and there the line was long too but again it moved quickly. Ordered my food and went to look for somewhere to sit. I was able to get a booth without any wait time. I heard all the hype for years and I wondered how this chicken sandwich would change my life if I dared to get in line at the drive thru that winds around the parking lot in Commack NY. Well I did it and after a 40 minute wait at lunch time I got a chicken sandwich that was tasty fresh and hot but did not transform me to a higher spiritual level like I expected. I think the Wendy's chicken sandwiches are just as good and you can get through the drive-thru in two minutes. Chick-Fil-A has absolutely phenomenal friendly service and I did go to the drive thru at 9am in 2 minutes and got a delicious fresh hot egg cheese and bacon biscuit with above average iced coffee. All in all a good solid food choice but be prepared for a long wait during the lunch rush. read more

I "tried" to order a gallon of half sweet/half unsweet tea at the drive thru but, the I was told they can't do that. I have ordered this over, and over, again at numerous Chick-fil-A restaurants before with absolutely no problem. And, I believe they even offer this on their catering menu. Today was the first visit to Chick-fil-A ever for me. I liked their Chick- fil-A sandwich, French fries and the Chick-fil-A sauce. I think they are good among fast food industries, but that is not the reason to rate 4 stars. The reason I rate 4 star is that they have toddler play area. My 1 year old daughter had fun here. This place is very family friendly. I think this play area is meant for only toddlers according to "3 years and under" sign, but I saw non- toddlers were also playing there. This area is very small, so not so many kids can play, so maybe it's better going there week day. On weekend, maybe it can be packed. read more

Food was pretty good for what it is, but the service was absolutely terrible. We came here a couple of weeks ago and ordered $54 worth of food. We pulled up to the window, and the rude lady handed us the sandwiches and forgot to hand us our 2 orders of 30 count nuggets. She handed me another two packets. Why she acted like SHE was paying for the sauce, I have no idea. Alright - so whatever, I figured she was having a bad day and I couldn't wait to get home, so we left. We decided to visit this same location tonight. Big mistake. Same lady worked the window. We ordered $66 worth of food tonight. I asked for 15 packets of honey roasted BBQ sauce. She said she's only allowed to give 10. I said ok, I would like to purchase an additional 10 packets. Another lady came over and stated I couldn't purchase any (AFTER she rolled her eyes at me). Wtf? I've never been to a restaurant and be told that I couldn't purchase a food item of theirs. I have gone there right after they reopened, you could tell they were trained and ready for anything as they knew exactly how to control the overload of people in the drive thru, once I saw the line I asked if i could go on the mobile app and order now I was sent to that line which was shorter and took about 10 minutes all together on the line, they were ready and handled everything more than excellent and the food.......AMAZING, everytime! read more
