Over the past several months China Garden has been on a rapid decline. Today they refused to take my debit card because I was slightly under $10. This is illegal. They get 3 stars for the pad Thai special I ordered and a negative star for the "chicken chow mein" my husband ordered. It wasn't chow mein, there weren't even any noodles. And whatever it was (a large plate of sliced onions and a few pieces of chicken in some sort of broth) was flavorless and unappetizing. The steamed dumplings tasted like the tap water used to steam them (how is that even possible?!) and one dumpling was empty of filling. I will not be returning. read more

i dont agree with some of the really bad reviews cause china garden in white plains is a good small space chinese food joint that has the typical menu and the interior decor that is just like any other chinese take out joint . i personally like the food here as it was my place 2 to 3 times a week when i was home bound for 4 months a few years back due to my serious issue of being lazy . the menu is fairly standard with egg rolls, ribs, wonton soup, lo mein , chow mein, fried rice and the basic, chicken ,pork, beef, dishes , etc. overall food is good and they never screwed up on my orders which i always picked up in person . the chicken in garlic sauce with mix veggies is very good , steamed veggie dumplings also very good , the egg rolls are decent most of the time but the ribs are too dry in my opinion .i am giving 3.5 stars on my yelp meter as china garden and i got to know each other very well back in the day and nights. read more

I ordered from them and had to wait over 2 hours for some shitty ass dumplings, terrible food, and honestly I couldn't care less for this business. They don't have any decency for customers and I will never order from them again. I am incredibly stressed and if i could give -1,000 stars I would because this business fucking sucks. read more

This Restaurant has been the worst experience I ever had with Chinese food. First, one day I ordered egg foo young which came to me burnt and black eggs. The other order was Teriyaki chicken that also was burnt and very hard to chew. I would not suggest this restaurant as there are many others here in White Plains that are much better and much better service. DO NOT EAT HERE. I ordered a order of chicken wings and a pint of shrimp with broccoli payed for 2 xtra shrimp @ a $1.50 per shrimp. I received old hard chicken wings. Didn't receive the extra shrimp I paid for. We'd been searching for the best Chinese Food in White Plains and stumbled upon this place. The teriyaki Chicken sticks are the best! Also the veggie lo mein, sesame chicken and general Tso's is really good. Better than most. I didn't give 5 stars because I don't really like the fried rice. Surprised to see some of these bad reviews. I ordered pick up from there and was delighted with my food. Any chef combo is great for the price (like $8 for a protein, fried rice, and egg roll). I also got some lo mein and the crab rangoon, a fairly basic order that I get most places. Chicken was crispy and tasty, lo mein was good as well. And then 8 rangoons for $5, nice and crispy, not soaked in oil. Overall a good meal for a good price. read more

The food and friendliness are both superb. Couldn't be happier to have this restaurant in Rye...in fact, I feel lucky that they chose this town out of all in Westchester/CT. Food rivals Wu Liang Yi in Manhattan. Nice flavors, great selection and variety. Perfect to pick up after coming home on the train for a quick and tasty dinner. BEWARE!!! This place is horrible!! I've been going to this place for over 8 years and they treat the food and the customers like crap!!! Just like everyone else complained, their delivery is horrible! It took them 2 hours and 15 minutes to deliver some wings. By the time the food reached me, it was disgusting as it was sitting in a car for over two hours. When I called them, they offered me a $4 discount. When I explained that that wasn't enough, they said too bad. After all the years of being a loyal customer! They lady and the deliver person was rude, the food is greasy, overcooked, and gross. I'm seeing a lot of people saying horrible and probably untrue things about this restaurant. China Garden has never let me down. Reliable food and never had bad service in house. Idk what way you are approaching the counter with complaints that they're rude to you lmao. They've been nothing but courteous to me even if it's just my rib tips are not crispy enough. Having worked in food service I have to say approach a counter person with a chip on your shoulder and a tude and that's what you will get. But in my honest opinion best Chinese fare in white plains definitely best prices and the shrimp fried rice is always loaded with full size shrimp not those baby shrimp shits most places put in but real f***ing shrimp. read more

I am pretty picky about Chinese food and this is really good food. The previous reviewer said there was not a lot of meat...I am unsure of how there could be more unless they forgot the veggies completely. Love that they deliver and that the food is still hot. Hot and Sour Soup is amazing. Also loved the Gen Tso Chicken and Szchwan Beef. Egg rolls and crab rangoon...not my favs. But, the food is really good and you should enjoy it. read more
