Sesame chicken lunch special 7.99
Aaliyah J.

Normally I just assume Chinese places like this will be mediocre at best but I grabbed a lunch special at 2:59pm. I ordered the sesame chicken lunch special which included pork fried rice and an egg roll. Great price, it came out within 5 mins and it was so fresh and actually pretty tasty! I was pleasantly surprised! The amount of food they gave us for the lunch special was good, my bf and I split it and were satisfied! Would go here again!

Chicken fried rice

The staff were super friendly and pleasant. They were ready to take our order. That's where my experience should've ended! I ordered fried chicken wings, pork fried rice, chicken fried rice and shrimp lo mein. My daughter ordered scallops, fries, shrimp fried rice and spring rolls. All the fried rice tasted super bland and the portions were smaller than my normal place. The spring rolls had mushrooms in them, which she is allergic to. (1st time we've seen mushrooms in spring rolls) Scallops and fries were a NO. The chicken wings were fried well and tasted ok. The shrimp lo mein was the best tasting item we ordered. I only decided to give this place a try after visiting the UPS store 2 doors over. Let's just say I will stick to my normal place. (NEW CHINA)!! Not sure what the other previous reviewers ordered, but this place is not worth it. Just go a mile southeast to 58 Street and 9th Ave No- New China. The prices are pretty much the same, but the portions and flavors are exceptionally better!! The owners are super friendly and the are fast.

House special fried rice.

Ordered House special fried rice to go. It was ok! I've had better! It's hard to mess that up! I also ordered a couple of bags of crispy noodles, however they left the crispy out. They were old & stale noodles. Not edible! They should have know that before selling them! Too bad as that really completes the meal.

Steamed Dumpling
Mark K.

We've been looking for another go-to Chinese take-out as the one we had been frequenting just doesn't get EXTRA SPICY. So we placed a takeout order for one order of Steamed Dumplings ($6.35), one order of Fried Dumplings ($6.350, a Curry Chicken combination with White Rice -extra spicy ($9.85) and a Hunan Chicken with Fried Rice- extra spicy ($9.85). They repeated the order, told me how much it would be where they were located and that I would get a text message when it was ready. I pulled into the shopping center when I got the text message telling me my food was ready. They are set up for take-out only with plexiglass shields where they slide the fool through. The food was ready and bagged up, ready to go with sauces and Fortune Cookies inside. The Dumplings looked more homemade than a lot of other places. They were a good size, the dough was a little thick, and there wasn't much filling. The Fried Dumplings were a bit soggy. The Egg Roll was super crispy and showed promise, but the inside was kind of bland and tasteless. My Hunan Chicken was good, just not very spicy. My husband's Curry was not very flavorful and needed a bit of heat. The one thing I did like was to see the Fried Rice with fresh Bean Sprouts in it. Overall it was ok, completely average for places in the area, and they don't understand extra spicy more than anyone else.

Honey chicken, general taos chicken, fried rice, pork chow mein, garlic shrimp dinner plate, egg rolls. Very good !

First time but not the last! The food was fresh and the pork fried rice was light, not dark and clumpy. General Tso chicken was good.

I visited before a Rays game and was immediately impressed by both the service and the food. The staff was attentive without hovering, the pacing was excellent, and the entire experience felt polished and intentional. I ordered the Bibimbap with bulgogi steak, tofu, fried egg, kimchi, vegetables, gochujang, and crispy rice, along with two spring rolls. What stood out most was the balance. The dish delivered heat, sweetness, savory depth, texture, and freshness without relying on heavy sauces or excessive portions. Every ingredient maintained its own identity while contributing to the overall flavor of the dish. Too many restaurants create flavor by drowning food in sauce. Hawkers does it through seasoning, spices, and technique. There was no puddle of sauce at the bottom of the bowl, no overly sweet glaze, and no greasy heaviness. The rice absorbed flavor without becoming soggy, and the kimchi, vegetables, egg, tofu, and bulgogi worked together beautifully. The spring rolls were equally impressive. Light, crisp, delicate, and perfectly executed, with a thin wrapper and just the right amount of crunch. What impressed me most was that I left satisfied, not stuffed. The portions were thoughtful, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the flavors were layered rather than overwhelming. Since moving to Florida, this ranks as one of the best restaurant meals I have had. Highly recommended.

As I'm not a particular fan of Chinese food, my lovely bride is my specialist on the genre. The ambiance: Chinese restaurants are known for their lack of ambiance. ABC (the name still slays me) wasn't anything special but they did have plenty of Chinese News Years celebration material everywhere which did brighten up the place. The food: We ordered the hot and sour soup which was spot on. My bride thinks most make it too spicy. From there we ordered the fried dumplings which were deep fried. They were good but we prefer them pan fried.on to the General Tause Chicken which was excellent. On to fried Tofu which was also made to perfection. Our last additions was the Chinese Broccoli which I had never had but was surprisingly good. Finally, we had the fried rose which was ok but not stand out. The service: Our server was super and served us with a smile and made sure she recommended several dishes that proved to be winners. The bottom line: As with all my reviews, my "customers so what" , would I come back? In my brides case... absolutely and I as a faithful husband would be tagging along

After passing this place all the time I finally decided to give it a try - overall I'm happy I did!…read moreI got the general tso's combo. The price is fair ($11) & the portions were generous. I subbed the fried rice that the combo comes with for vegetable chow mein (+$2). The chicken was crunchy and flavorful (though not as spicy as I prefer but it's always hit or miss with spice on general tso's, nothing a little extra pepper flakes couldn't fix). The chow mein tasted very fresh and wasn't greasy at all which I appreciate. Overall, solid option and I'll happily go back.

We've moved all around St. Pete yet still make the voyage over here whenever we want chinese takeout because it's that good. My family quite literally won't get takeout chinese elsewhere. We always get a lo mein, bourbon chicken, crab rangoon, and general tsos. They are consistently good and I can't tell you the last time they've messed up our order or given us less than ideal food. The food and menu hasn't changed over the years and neither has the quality. I know the place only had 4 stars, but I wholeheartedly recommend this place and will defend it to anyone. This place is a staple in my family's life and honestly of my childhood. The food itself is always hot and sizable portions for how much you pay. I've never had undercooked chicken or lo mein. The bourbon chicken is my absolute favorite and is always perfectly charred and seasoned. The general tsos is always good and never too saucy.
