I give a 3. The mussels were ok and I had the ice cream twice. The other available choices were so greasy and stunk. The chow mein was oily and the shrimp were so overcooked in an oil that made my hands stink. The mandu looking things were cold. The rice was an embarrassment as even soy sauce made it worse. I have been here for 10 years. This is like the McDonald's of buffets. If you're looking for good food and cleanliness, go somewhere else. If you're looking for a good deal for a bunch of edible food and you don't care about anything else, I still wouldn't suggest this place but maybe it'll suit your tastes. Fried rice is just rice mixed with melted frozen veggie bits and chow mein is just lukewarm, boiled noodles with some bits of boiled cabbage. The white fish they serve is just a baked fish and the other fried fish they serve is okay, just pan-fried but salty with little fish meat and more bone. Deserts taste dry, like battered cake powder. Everything else is either soggy, contaminated with some dead bug, ridiculously salty, really oily, or all of the above. Service: They are all very sweet people. Polite and endearing to me. Only thing I will say that was questionable is that they once gave me a lollipop some time ago and once in the car, found out the it had already expired. Either way, I admittedly am biased for this place because of its sentimental value. If you're looking for a good meal, not a good place here. Absolutely worth the price. My favorite were the beef ribs and Korean bbq beef ribs. The rest of the food is good with good variety especially the seafood options. Friendly staff, not sure what the other fuss is about. They deserve more stars. The food was solid. Not a lot of options, though. Two hot food sections, one dessert section, and one salad section. Their mayonnaise shrimp is better than most buffets. Crabs and shrimp are also delicious. I will say the ambiance is a bit awkward, though. No music playing or anything, very quiet with the occasional hum from the ice cream machine. I came at 5pm on a monday, so maybe thats why it was so quiet. No one really talked, either. If you want rude waitresses that expect 30%+ tip and okay food come here. Reasonable prices are the reason we kept coming back but today's waitress was really the reason we needed to not come back. When paying we left a 20% tip and the waitress came up saying that we drank a lot of soda so we should tip more. 3 people had one refill each and one had 3. I understand that refills take time but that literally all they're doing. They remove plates. Refill drinks. We serve ourselves. Tips are not mandatory but in this time and age we understand it helps so we always tip 20%. The whole time we kept saying thank you and she would never acknowledge it. When paying she snatched the money out of our hands and started ranting about "not enough tip. You drank a lot of soda." As others have said, this is a sad buffet. Literally every other one I've been to within 3 miles has a greater selection of better food. They have little cards above the food here that indicate when it was last made. We came during the dinner rush and much of the food had been placed out around 2:00 pm. It's not a good idea to eat dishes with sour cream, for example, that have been sitting out for 3-4 hours! I was encouraged when they said yes we do have Dr. Pepper. But they kept bringing root beer and Diet Coke telling me it was the same thing. No it's not. If I wanted one of those other things that's what I would have asked for. Why not just be honest and tell me "no, we don't have what you're asking for, would you like something else instead?" What's wrong with telling the truth? I think this place is good for what it is. You get more then what you pay for. Selective food choices are actually not bad and pretty tasty for what it is. We came in at 3pm, so we were able to get the lunch price and we're able to try a little bit of the dinner at 330pm, and I would say that the dinner items are a slight above better then what they serve at lunch. They have a good amount of seafood dishes that are good, but I would stay clear of their sushi rolls and sashimi. The rice on the rolls are super dry and the sashimi is really gross (not fresh at all). I would come here if you're craving that typical Chinese buffet food where it's actually good and a little dirty inside. Someone once told me the dirtier it is inside, the more tasty the food is. I love this Chinese buffet! The reviews on here do not do it justice. The customers are mostly non-asian, and the place is always packed and always has a waitlist. Good thing people go in and out fast. If you speak Chinese, utilize it; that should be a bonus when speaking to staff. The venue was a bit stuffy. I'm not sure if it was because the food was always hot and fresh or because the restaurant was packed. Probably both...I came around lunchtime. The buffet prices are decent. Hope it stays that way. They have a sign up to not waste food, this way, they can keep the prices down. The food was overall good! They have a good amount of seafood options and a lot of greasy foods. I ate pretty much every hot tray item. The sushi was just okay, sashimi too; I preferred the hot foods more. The salad and fruit section were okay. But ever since the buffet opened up again my friends and I have noticed that certain patrons get certain treatment there like this one guy had a whole pitcher of iced tea to himself! And in those handful of times that we've come we can't even get a refill of our drinks. Very bad service There is a server that brought is our drinks and after seeing that more drinks were rejected from other tables she brought them to ours saying there were for refills. When brought the check she reached across me when I was eating.
