Today, I went to Chipotle in Downtown LA after seeing a promotion that offered one free regular menu item with the purchase of one burrito (this evening, December 13). I usually go to the Larchmont or Glendale Galleria Mall locations, but today I decided to visit the Downtown LA location. It had been a long time since I last had Chipotle, and it was really delicious. I love that Chipotle feels like a healthy meal but is still very flavorful. The staff at this location were also extremely friendly, which made the experience even better. Side note: About three years ago, I had a bad accident at the Chipotle Larchmont location. I hit my foot on the door so hard that I was in severe pain and had to sit down on the spot, unable to get up for a while. People around me kept asking, "Are you okay?" and I remember replying, "No, I'm not okay," because it hurt so much. After that incident, my left big toenail eventually fell off, and I lived without it for almost a year before it finally grew back. Even now, I still experience pain in that toe from time to time, and it can be uncomfortable when walking. (Even though I was injured badly, I didn't have the time at the time to file any kind of claim because I was extremely busy.) Because of that experience, I avoided going to Chipotle for a long time. But visiting again after so long brought back that memory--fortunately, this time it was a much more positive experience. read more

Best chipotle I've ever been too, I don't care for customer service it was standard. But genuinely this is by far the freshest chipotle I've ever had. The food was HOT! Steaming, I've never seen a chipotle bowl steaming. Most chipotle is like warmish/cold ish depending on your toppings but this felt like a hot meal. The rice and chicken were hot enough to where the cheese at the very top of it was melting, not a lot but I a couple melts pieces. The steak was also medium rare? Never seen some shit like that. Like was there a huge difference? No, but this would be enough to take an 8/10 review to a 9/10. Like I was genuinely surprised at steak perfectly sliced up medium rare pieces of steak. I have left so many yelp reviews but I think it's time to call the health department on this store. The cross contamination is truly unbelievable. It happens almost every time I go and it's sad. I should've honestly filed a complaint a long time ago. It's 4:34pm on Thursday 6/4/26 and the short (probably the shortest person working at this time- to help describe who I am referring to, not height-shaming here) with light brown hair, did not change her gloves, and she was grabbing things (food containers and whatever else) as I was walking in and as I was walking up to order she was sliding her gloved hands across the dirty table--picking up whatever wet germs where on the table and proceeding to make peoples bowls. Do people really think customers don't pay attention to how filthy your gloves are ESPECIALLY when I'm getting ready to watch yo touch my "fresh" lettuce. The lettuce is already wet, i shouldn't have to worry about you adding bacteria to my bowl because you didn't want to take 2 minutes to change your gloves. ON TOP OF THAT, she was rushing me as I was ordering (there was no line), I just simply want a clean bowl of food. Is that too much to ask? I will be calling the health department from here on out to voice my frustrations. When she closed my bowl it literally looks like there was a combination of water, sour cream and guac smeared as she was closing the lid-- I didn't order any of that so why does it have to touch my lettuce and cheese? I can understand if you switched gloves and there was someone ahead of me, I'm not expecting you to switch after each bowl but definitely if you are coming from the back, and handling other items. Literally found a hair in our food bowl. Hairnets should be worn properly and securely- no one should have to pull someone else's hair out of their mouth while trying to eat! On top of that, one of the female employees had the worst attitude- completely straight-faced, no greeting, no response when me or my girlfriend asked for something. Just plain rude. And the portions? A joke. My girlfriend got significantly less than me- less than half a scoop of protein that was supposedly "full," and the sour cream was barely a smear. When she politely asked for just a little more, the same worker acted like we were asking her to lift a boulder. OK, so this chipotle is definitely one of the lower chipotle's though I got a burrito and the show that it was supposed to be a soft shell but it was actually very very very very very very chewy. Came in at 9:40 on may 3rd. The younger boy mopping wouldn't let me use the bathroom and said it was closed for the night. I told him I had just left a magic show that lasted 2 hours and I held it all that time so I was in a lot of pain (we bought 2 entrees + chips btw) and he didn't care. My boyfriend convinced the manager and it was no big deal. Seriously unprofessional and jerk move to not let a customer use the restroom during hours of operation. Then they mopped all around us and acted annoyed when we got napkins. Had half a mind to "slip" because all the staff were so rude. Who mops around customers, doesn't let them use the restroom until asking the older man (manager?) there, doesn't give silverware for the bowls, and then they're already put away under the drink machine and I had to go in the cabinet for it, doesn't give napkins, glares at you while you eat. If you want to close early don't choose a DTLA chipotle to work at and then get mad when people are coming out of shows to eat. Then they asked us to leave 5 minutes early and said we can't finish our food in there. If you close at 10, close at 10 or change your hours of operation and we could have gone somewhere else. The guy literally overheard us talking as he mopped right next to us that I would have to go in an alleyway because I was in that much pain. Take a hint and let me use the restroom. But still didn't let me and thank god my boyfriend asked the manager. Is it even legal to close the restroom before close? I'm a well dressed small girl--I'm not going to mess it up or make extra work after I use the restroom and am very clean. No toilet paper either. I've been to a few different Chipotle locations in L. A. & in the Valley, but this particular location in DTLA is by far one of the best... if not "the best"! The last two times that I have eaten here...(the other day and tonight), I received truly "fantastic" customer service from Shaina, one of the managers. I had no idea Shaina was a manager, but I can tell why she's a manager because she was extremely friendly, courteous, professional, and...above all...she "cared" about me as a customer. I usually prefer to make a selection on an item that has just recently been cooked...(as opposed to the food, just sitting in the heated bins.) Anyway, when I asked Shaina, what was the freshest of the selections...( meaning, what recently got cooked), she informed me and I made my choices based on her recommendation...(which were spot on!) In most corporate restaurant chains, employees are very indifferent or casual to their patrons! I like this Chipotle because it's located in a nicer area and it's pretty mellow. It's very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Employees are nice and did I mention everything is clean? Yeah it's very clean. Their seating is interesting in there too. Little chairs and little stools mixed with high tables and high stools. So, the last couple times I've been to the Chipotle on Lankershim and also the one on Ventura, they haven't even barely filled half the bowl I got. I'm a little confused if they're struggling or something because I used to be able to eat a Chioptle bowl over two meals and now theyve raised prices and are giving MUCH less. This is very disappointing and i may have to just stop going. Even upon asking for extra chicken (that you pay extra for) they still don't fill a bowl or burrito unfortunately. This new store is just a few blocks from the one on 7th but it's quicker, cleaner, and they aren't out of ingredients as often as the other store. The staff is also efficient. It's the same quality and quantity that you get at the usual Chipotle, but since the other one is so popular it's useful to have another one downtown, especially since there are a lot of people wandering the streets on their lunch break looking for something quick and cheap. read more
