I paid queso ($1.60) both but it's not included and just they put very little amount of the chicken and salad compared to the regular order in a store. The guy that served those seemed high and was more interested in chopping it up with his coworkers than actually making our bowls. Not to mention while we were in line the person ahead of us was a worker who said out loud how something was expired when she clocked in this morning and they were serving it. I went back to this chipotle when I noticed the in-n-out next door had a crazy line - I thought it couldn't go wrong if I ordered in person rather than online - let's give it another chance. The person who took my order just happened to be the employee who told me "this happens all the time" about the order I waited an hour for that would've killed me. While it was evident that we were both a bit uncomfortable - I'm honestly glad it just happened to be her. She was extremely sweet and polite. She triple checked my allergy and said she wanted to make sure she wouldn't forget. I feel like these days, people are unreasonably entitled and prone to hold onto grudges. Chipotle has always delivered delicious food. Items are made fresh people are kind and restaurants are clean. What else could you want. The store is no exception. They seem to want to give you what you need not just what they can make a profit on. They were the early trendsetters of fresh food and real vegetables while the rest of the country was in love with fast food. Chipotle is anything but fast food. It is good food made quickly... I've come here for about a year and have never been impressed by the quality of the food or the service but I know these can be tough jobs so I came in for a burrito bowl and will never come back to this location again. First off, they were busy. There was one guy serving and one girl at cashier and about five employees in the back. At least five. Not one of those employees came out to help the one guy but they'd peek out and come out and "clean" the stove and then wash their hands and head back to where they came from. It was obvious they saw the line and chose not to help. Second, when it was finally my turn, the guy had a scowl on his face and looked as if he was working in hell. No personality. I guess I wouldn't either if all of my coworkers were hiding in the back. As he was helping me he dropped a plastic red tent like thing that was sitting on the counter and had been used by others into the tomato salsa and then picked it out like nothing happened. Disgusting. I paid $18 for a meal that I'm nauseated by. The counters were dirty and the server walked away from the counter several times to do other things and not once did he change out his gloves. Finally I get to the cashier and she's giggling and trying to charge me for extras I did not have. It's as if they are doing you a favor. This is to the owners if you even care . I would walk in and FIRE everyone of them . We have been there now three or four times in the past . It's Chipotle.... love it or hate it. You all know what it is and what they serve so I won't go into much details. This location is very small compared to the one I eat at in Fullerton and they skimp on the meat. Flavor wise though everything was the same. FYI.... if you count calories Chipotle is a surprisingly good choice for diets. They have a meal builder on the website so you can build your meal and know the exact calories. My go to item is a bowl with brown rice, pinto beans, fajita veggies, barbacoa, pico de gallo, red salsa, and lettuce for a grand total of 530 calories. Seriously, not sure how they could be any worse. Second time, they messed up our online order. I ordered crispy tacos and they make soft tacos. This time, I caught it. Sodas? Almost every one not working. Chips? Stale would be an improvement. Worst I've ever had. Consistently bad every time. Their app? Sucks now. I have to relogin every time I open the app, whereas before I could easily reorder past orders within a few seconds with just a few clicks. And, my botched up order was 12 minutes late. So my rating unfortunately has not gone up since the last visit, but for different reasons this time. They were promoting the carne asada steak so that sounded great to me so I got one as a burrito with pinto beans, lettuce and guacamole plus a drink. Steak had a nice flavor (cilantro and lime, maybe?) and other toppings were fresh and good...However: pinto beans were not fully cooked. Too firm, not tender at all. This was for me the final straw. COVID19: Just picked up food to go. And just witnessed one reason why Chipotle has a history of food poisoning. Not sure why an employee serving food would need to pull a cellphone out of her back pocket and take pictures of food. Yes she was wearing gloves. But, she stuck the phone right back into her back pocket and didn't bother changing gloves. What's the point of wearing gloves if you're going to put them all over the place and then handle food. Came in Wednesday (1/29) at about 7:30pm. There was 1 person on the line and 1 girl as cashier. There were about 2-3 in the back and after noticing the line was getting long another guy came up front to help. First thing I noticed was the disgusting counter top. Full of old cheese, salsa, sour cream. Looked like it hadn't been wiped down for a while. I was grossed out by the thought of my tortilla touching the countertop as he wrapped my burrito. I don't even want to know when the last time a glove change happened. Then we went to the soda station...there was trash everywhere, no napkins, a dirty/used water cup in the soda drain with ice accumulating. Used straw wrappers all over the counter. Utensils scattered. Everything was just filthy. There was a guest eating with a blanket dragging on the floor and table and she was brushing her hair out in the open. The guys I were with said "let's eat outside that's disgusting I don't even want to eat inside". Safe to say I will not be coming to this location again. The cleanliness of a place is very telling of how a company/its management cares for its establishment. I understand if it's busy and understaffed but maybe there should be a bit more focus on cleaning before you clock out from your shift. I worked for Chipotle (this location) about 9 years ago and cleanliness was a top priority. Sad to see it's gone downhill. And for the price it was definitely not worth it. I just left your establishment. I was going to order the new steak option that you have, but had some trepidation because I've never tasted it. I kindly asked the person preparing my food if I could sample the steak. As it is a new item on your menu. She then asked, who I assumed was the manager. She said no, but made a gesture. Like cutting her finger across her neck. A simple no and explanation of you policy would have done the job. The hand gesture, took what was a simple explanation and made it rude. Maybe next time you all add a menu item, giving samples would persuade people to maybe try something new. I hate to write a poor review, but I have a real issue with an employee that does not use proper food safety practices. When you have an employee who is touching the register wearing the same gloves that he keeps on to go & touch your burrito tortilla it really grosses me out. Change your gloves or don't do both jobs. Let me start by saying I've never left a negative review on yelp. I've never had such a bad experience to warrant anything more then just not going back to a business. That changed today and I feel I should warn others of this location. Order through the App today 1/25 pickup @ 12:30. The order was incorrect when it got home. Went back into the store to have the order fixed. I wont put his name here but the general manager was confrontational, had an attitude, and behaved unprofessionally. The guy argued with me, got in my face to argue some more, and ended up partially refunding me. As a cherry on top of the experience he brought the trash can out from the kitchen to try to have me dig/look through it after remaking my order out of sight in the back. With his behavior and lack of professionalism, I am not surprised about the other complaints or the 2.5 start rating. Why would the employees be happy and want to be engaged at work if this is how the GM behaves? How could they provide good customer service when this guy doesn't know the first thing about customer service? Why would they be well trained on any of this when this guy is incompetent? To the general manager, you need to find a new line of employment. consider Warehouse work, construction, work at the port. I don't know but you don't belong anywhere near a customer or a service job. To Chipotle corporate. What are you doing allowing someone like this to ruin your reputation in the community? I use to frequent this place quite often but after today it has reinforced my reasoning as to why I wont be returning. Upon arriving I was 3rd in line with more patrons entering. A slight rush for 7 pm. The worker who was plating the first half was extremely unkept (raggedy hair, dirty uniform) and decided it would be a good idea to take his break and leave his team as soon he realized a rush had entered. Without saying a word this gentleman walked off the line and clocked out in front of everyone. It took two minutes for someone to realize no one was being served. If i knew that this establishment hired stoners to be their frontmen I would have ventured elsewhere. It has been forever since I have been to a chipotle but we were at Kohl's and the wife asked me to get her a burrito bowl for dinner. Short line but also getting to go orders and what not an employee stepped in to help when I was getting helped and was translating my wife's order he was great, and when his counter part finished he asked him if he could take over since he already clocked out. They got me everything my wife wanted which some stuff was on the side they only charged me for 2 extra tortillas. I'm not sure if the employees were still in training, but they appeared to be disorganized, slow, and messy. To begin with, the counter was covered with spilled rice and sauces, which got all over my container because they set it right on top of the mess. My bowl was passed through three people after the lid was closed (noticeably covered in guac, rice, and other spilled ingredients), and not a single person cleaned it? The last person put it straight in the bag and called it a day. 0/10 for cleanliness and efficiency. Additionally, one of the employees rolled his eyes at the customer in front of me.
