My husband and I went with another couple and I ordered pan seared scallops and they ordered salmon. All was perfectly cooked and delicious. The portions are not huge, but adequate. This restaurant seems to cater more to steak lovers. I was somewhat confused by the menu because they had sandwiches with french fries and yet are only open for dinner. This is NOT an inexpensive restaurant and seems to be trying to appeal to a more upscale crowd than the college kids when it was formerly Casey's. I would suggest removing the sandwiches and fries (cheapens the menu) and add a few other entrees Fish? Overall, it was a good experience. The décor and design of the restaurant is great, they did a wonderful job renovating it from what it previously was. Our waitress, Sophia was lovely and knowledgeable! I highly recommend the Jameson's Green tea, it was delicious! My husband ate the fish and chips and loved it! The fish was white and not soggy from frying at all. I had the bacon wrapped meatloaf, which was also very good! The bacon was as crispy as I like, but given the fact that it was cooked while being wrapped around meatloaf it's understandable! After a long day/night at work I needed dinner. I'm new to the area so I tried this establishment based on the reviews of others. I called in at 10:30 pm to see if the kitchen was still open. The manager confirmed that it was, but only for another 30 minutes. I was able to place my order over the phone, travel there, and enjoy a nice, quiet meal. For those who remember Caseys' forget it because Chophouse Grille is nowhere near the same restaurant. The interior has been completely remodeled to have a floor plan that makes sense and is welcoming. Waitstaff have a nice presentable look with white shirts and aprons, which reflect the higher class menu and choices. Beers are no longer only available in pint glasses, replaced by elegant flutes or proper glasses. The upstairs room is now a second smaller bar with a seating area which creates a nice "private" atmosphere. Be prepared to spend a bit more as the menu has improved and now serves select cuts of meat and dishes that are handmade and not off they Sysco truck. Similar to: Trio in Narragansett read more

Excellent experience! I went there tonight with two other guests and we all loved it. Prime rib was melt in your mouth and seared sea scallops were very flavorful. The English pea risotto that came with the scallops was bland and tasted more like plain white rice though. Staff was quick and attentive. Drinks are strong. I was happily surprised that they have great gluten free selections. I had the rib eye steak that was cooked perfectly. The loaded tater tots were like nachos, beans and all, which was fun. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. It just tasted like a bland and dry chicken sandwich. It came with fries. The fries were okay. I ordered this to go, and I wish they had put some ketchup or utensils in the bag. I have also tried the Chophouse Greek Salad. They let you purchase the salads in half portions, as well. I disliked the salad. I ordered it with the greek viaigrette on the side. 4/5ths of the cup was filled with oil. It was soooo oily and lacked flavor. I ended up eating the salad plain. I do like that they have a huge bowl of Andes Mints at the front! I added one star just for this as it was probably the highlight of my visit. read more

Chophouse never disappoints! I love coming here! I always try something different on the menu and it's all been good. My fave price are the Buffalo tenders and the scallop cakes. Also always have great service when I come here and I love the atmosphere of the bar area. Great for casual dining or even more formal dining depending on where you sit. read more

The first time I went there it was great. Last night, just ok. This trip, I had the special - bone-in ribeye. My steak was way overdone and the quality of the meat didn't seem the same, also a very thin cut for a ribeye. We also had the prime rib, another small thin cut but tasty and the ribs which were massive. They really need a 1/2 rack option. Everything else was ok, nothing to stand out though. First visit to chophouse was great! The bread and butter was a hit with the table, and the apps we split were fantastic as well. Our table had a variety of entrees- the prime rib and flatbread pizza were especially good. Plenty of leftovers for lunch the following day as well. Three people in our party went in for dinner. Apps were good. All of our entrees came out ice cold. Told server who you think would have offered to redo the order, but no. The renovations were definitely worth the wait. It is great that the restrooms have been moved from their previous central location in the bar. We had a light dinner after an early afternoon party so we weren't overly hungry. The chicken panini was bland to say the least. (Lots of dry bread.) The French onion soup was tasty but I couldn't get past my food envy. Our neighbors had what appeared to be the chopped salad which clearly was being enjoyed. I cannot say enough good things about my experiences with Chophouse. I've been for dinner at the bar twice, and recently held a fundraiser in the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. The quality of the food and service was not sacrificed for "banquet" style parties. The service is exceptional, rivaled only by the food- I highly recommend the bacon appetizer (maple bourbon glaze!) and the Cobb salad (slow roasted tomatoes! More bacon!). Sitting at the bar on a Sunday night, you'll find yourself surrounded with industry locals...a sure sign you are in the right place. read more

My girlfriend and I came here during our stay in Rhode Island and loved the appetizers. Our food options in the area seemed to be pretty limited around 11 pm or whenever it was late at night that we were looking, and the kitchen at the last bar had closed already, so it was a nice thing that the food at ChopHouse was good. What a world of a difference between old and new. I can't write a large review because they make it really easy to do. It looks amazing inside and was worth the redo. The menu is small and I like that don't have to spend 10 minutes trolling for dinner. I had the French dip and my wife, the salmon. My only complaint is there wasn't much juice to dip my sandwich in so I had to carefully use it. The only reason I'm giving this place a 4 is its entirely new staff and completely new. After I've been there again in a couple months and its the same i will adjust it to a 5 star. I'm really looking forward to going back for a steak and some dessert because they have some good choices and big slices of cake. read more

Happened upon this place during a day trip to Rhode Island. Everything was FABULOUS. To start, we had the loaded tater tots. They were probably the most delicious tater tots I've ever had. The braised beef chili they top it with was to die for. For my meal, I had their BBQ Chicken and ribs which were outstanding, and my girlfriend had steak which was also outstanding. I wish we weren't too full for dessert, but we will have to try it next time we go. Definitely give this place a try if you are in the area. read more

Great food great service beautiful decor and overall a huge hit for the price. Kids meals come with icecream sundae two scoops of vanilla ice cream with whipped cream and hot fudge. My wife and I both had the prime rib. Mine was perfectly rare as requested and my wife's was a nice medium as she requested. We arrived at dinner time and were seated only ten minutes later . The dinning room staff treated us and watered our glasses promptLy and throughout service. the dinning room is adorned with beautiful wood decor and gorgeous high definition pictures of various beautiful spots in Rhode Island. We ordered calamari for an appetizer and it was perfectly cook fork tender, seasoned well not over powering and dressed and played over mixed greens with a nice aioli. Prime rib was accompanied by broccolini and a delicious au jus and a delicious homemade corn cake Did I mention the delicious corn cake! So good!!! overal was a five star meal. I will be back. What a spectacular renovation! The place is beautiful now and the layout is much improved. We dined there on a busy night and they were able to seat us fairly close to our reservation time which can be difficult. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The layout allows for a more intimate dining experience now, with more separation of the areas. We had the buffalo tender appetizer to start and it was very very good. Our entrees were very good, except the prime rib which was just ok (too lean is what I was told). Definitely a nice addition to the SK restaurant scene. What a terrific addition to a suddenly growing list of top notch restaurant in South County (Matunuck Oyster Bar, Trattoria Romana, Spain, Trio to name a few). There is a real upscale city-feel to the place - I really felt like I was back in Boston. Nice menu with prime steaks (which anyone who knows steak knows will cost you over $40 at ANY top steakhouse) along with other less expensive options like burgers, steak sandwiches etc. I have eaten here 3 times and everything me, my wife, and friends have had they loved. The owner, Charlie Samaras, really nailed it on the remodel and delivered with a great staff and food; a truly enjoyable dining experience. He also is terrific at making you feel welcome and it known to show his appreciation of his customers with one on the house. I will be back - often. read more

I love how this place is open relatively late. We were greeted by very attractive hostesses who were wearing matching color dresses: a nice added touch! Loved the warm bread with the cinnamon butter. The NE Clam Chowder wasn't anything to write home about, however, the French Onion Soup looked pretty good. I ordered the scallops which were a decent sized portion. The risotto was seasoned perfectly. Overall, very good. Desserts were great, too. I think the Carrot Cake was NOT baked on premises. It looked too perfect! Either way, it was delicious. We have were quite surprised what a nice restaurant this turned out to be. In the middle of Wakefield RI, the location is fairly ordinary. I had a French dip sandwich. It was good sized and was the roast beef was very tender. Unlike many other French dips, the su jus was not overly salty. My wife had the lobster grilled cheese sandwich.
