This massive creation was packed with carne asada, shrimp, Spanish rice, black beans, shredded cheese, and topped with tangy Baja sauce and a squeeze of lime. I also asked for fajita veggies to be added, which elevated it even more. Every bite was satisfying and delicious. The service was friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. This review is long overdue. I came here a few weeks ago and the food is soo good. I had something called a bowl -rito. Which mine consisted of fresh rice and beans. I got the carne asado which was really good and the meat was very tender and flavorful. I also added pico de Gallo and salsa. The staff here are all really cool and very helpful. So sorry I posted my horrible review of chronic tacos underneath a different restaurant so my apologies because I have never eaten there, that was Fuego cravings. I'm sure it's fine but as for chronic tacos, it was the worst cold burrito I ever had in my life.. a $16 burrito should not come out cold with cold meat, I swear I got the carne Asada, and as it fell out of the burrito that was not wrapped properly, it looked like cold hamburger meat that had been refrigerated and not reheated, and it tasted the same way. The rice was cold, the beans were not even room temperature and if they can't get the beans and the rice, correct, what does that tell you about the rest of the food there train your people so they know how to prepare a burrito the flour tortilla was not even warm, it looked and tasted like it just came out of a plastic bag, because it did just come out of the plastic bag sitting on the prep area. There are so many good Mexican places to order from, I suggest you go to one of those because this place is not one of them. Even Taco Bell tasted better than this they didn't even have red sauce. And you would think that the management would oversee what their staff is doing and how they are preparing food, who sends out cold food? Especially cold rice, maybe they just forgot to turn on their steam tables, because everything was cold, I know the lettuce and the onions and the pico de gallo need to be cold but everything else needs to be warm, and it wasn't even room temperature. So save your money don't come here, because the food is not worth it. It was a very disappointing experience, so just warning my Mexican food loving friends, don't come here, the food is not up to par, and neither is the prep. And talk about lack of customer service, I just left the stuff up there, told them it wasn't good, and just left and I will never be back too many other good places to spend your money at. Unless of course you want a cold burrito, and a disappointing experience, then be my guest. A word of warning to the wise. I wish I could've given it a -3, but it doesn't allow for that. So if you take the time to read this, this is what you can improve, make sure the food is heated through before you wrap it up and throw it on a tray come on now, maybe you eat cold rice and beans at home but most people do not. read more

We tried this place out for the first time and felt there was a lot of room for improvement. First, the place was empty so we thought our food would be amazing since it wasn't busy, but it wasn't good. First, the taco shells were raw. They were barely warmed up prior to the meat being placed inside, so it tasted like tortillas right out the package. Secondly, the carne asada meat had lots of fatty parts on it which was disappointing. The flavor of the meat was good, it was just the toughness and fatty parts that was disappointing. My husband had the fried shrimp taco which he enjoyed overall. All in all, we've been looking forward to trying this place since it's close to our home, but now that we've tried it we may not dine again. Bring your own drinks unless you like Sugar Free soda. So I went twice this week and the soda machine wasn't working properly and the employees weren't able to fix the issue. All of the flavors were either unavailable or the few that were only had sugar free flavors. Not ideal! At least the food was tasty as always. Chronic Tacos is hands-down the best spot for fresh, made-to-order Mexican-inspired food! I recently went in for one of their specialty burritos (California burrito to be exact), and I was not disappointed. Everything was freshly prepared, so it did take a bit longer, but the quality is well worth the wait. (Watch a game on one of their TVs while you wait!) The menu offers a fantastic variety of sauces, freshly made salsas, protein, and toppings, so you can customize your meal to your heart's content. I love that there are so many options to choose from, and each one has its unique flavor. Prices are very reasonable and competitive to other restaurants, especially considering the portion sizes and the quality of ingredients. You're getting fresh, flavorful food without breaking the bank. (I would say I'm a big guy and can put away a lot of food. The portion was big that I saved some as leftovers for lunch the next day.) The customer service was top-notch! I had a great experience with a lovely supervisor who noticed that my burrito had burst when her staff was wrapping it up (no surprise there since I had it loaded up with a lot of toppings). She offered to remake it without hesitation, but when I declined since I was going to eat it in a bowl anyway, she kindly suggested making it a wet burrito (topped with their red sauce and putting in the oven to melt the cheese topping), free of extra charge. Such a thoughtful gesture made my day! Although I took my meal to-go, the restaurant had 3 TVs and I was watching the World Series while I waited. (While paying for my meal, I had the opportunity to chat with the supervisor and found out they opened almost for a year and that she was related to the owner.) Chronic Tacos imparted me with a wonderful first impression. I'll be back. I wish I knew about the place sooner; I only found out about it based on their marketing mailer. (Delicious food with a coupon, why not? No brainer!) Seems like ownership created a work culture that cares about their food quality and customer satisfaction. I wish them nothing but success! (Other reviewers comment how the food is not "authentic Mexican food." Is Chipotle authentic Mexican food? Most would say it's not but it doesn't take away that Chipotle or Chronic Tacos offers freshly made, good quality food. If one wanted "authentic" then perhaps one should go to a restaurant that serves "authentic" cuisine. Otherwise it's like being upset you're not eating authentic Chinese food at Panda Express.) This was the worst burrito I ever had, an uncooked, flour tortilla, cold, and all the ingredients cold. The side of rice was barely room, temperature, and the same with the beans, which tasted like they were next to the fish in the walk-in, because like residue of fish., I didn't finish eating it three bites was enough, I don't like cold food, come on now who eats cold food, who eats cold Mexican food? The food is authentic Mexican food. I saw another review that compared it to Chipotle (which is no where close to being authentic Mexican food) but Chronic Tacos is so much better. Absolute Best is all I need to say! My Husband and myself went here for the 1st time on 4/4/25. We had no idea they had bowls! The 2 Sweet young ladies helped us. I got a Veggie Bowl and one of the Sweethearts suggested I get Guacamole in it-I did and the Guacamole was Soo Good!! The place was clean but while we were eating the crew sat at a table and were doing shots lol. Not very professional. I found out it was black owned so I was excited about that, I try to support black owned businesses. But after seeing that I will not go back.
