    Pastor taco...
    Miguel M.

They were gone for a while, but they are back!!! My favorite is the carnitas taco, but they have others too, like this evening I had two carnitas and one pastor. The flavor in the carnitas taco reminds my childhood in Colonia del Valle, México city. The venues is nice, clean and you are not standing outside in the road. The service is from a counter, but the servers are polite and kind. Also they have to go service, while I was there I noticed many pickers were taking the orders from calls outside. Try them. The price is right.

The service here was friendly. The prices are a tad high for Mexican food / tacos where there's so many alternate non-chain/franchise restaurants that serve fresh tacos and often give free tortilla chips too. So, this is a known quality much like Chipotle. I just feel the portions could be bigger or price tag could be smaller when comparing Chronic Tacos to their peers.

Chronic Tacos in Redondo Beach was always one of my favorite spots to share great Mexican food with my wife. After being closed for a few months during a change of ownership, they've finally reopened -- and I couldn't be happier. The menu is as stacked as ever, with tacos, burritos, nachos, and even low-carb burrito bowls. You can choose from all the traditional proteins, plus black, pinto, or refried beans, assorted cheeses, fresh salsas, and plenty more. I'm definitely glad they're back.

Management and corporate handled the situation. I appreciate them for the timely turn around.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted with Smiles all the ladies that we're working on Tuesday night were great! We ordered 2 Bowls, consisting Spanish rice, refried beans, chicken, lettuce, cheese, topped off with sour cream and green salsa and some kind of red/sour cream mild sauce( (very tasty), the combo come with a drink and chips and salsa! The Green salsa is soooo good! Their soda machine was running low but the lady with the red highlights and red camo pants let us swap it out for a bottled soda! Great Customer Service and we appreciate it! They also have this cool wall mural inside with plenty of seating if you choose to eat inside, they also have some outside with a popup umbrella nice for a Sunny Day!

Look it's chronic tacos, they're a chain! Manage your expectations folks! I used to grab some tacos at the Redondo Beach location, but I believe that one shut down a while ago! I remember missing the potatoe tacos when the establishment was no longer accessible! It had been so long and though Chronic Tacos is a chain and I could've easily have gone to a different location I'm not typically a chain food eater so when this location conveniently opened up, I thought why not refresh my memory! 2024: Potatoe tacos, delicious!!! I add melted cheese, cilantro, and pico and sour cream. (Sauces on the side please!) The shrimp taco was also bomb, similar toppings as previously stated but with cabbage! The mahi-mahi tacos def skipping out on as the fish was seasoned but STILL has a fishy smell! No bueno! A dear friend had pastor and seemed to dig it. I prefer the crunchy shell but I always request they make them fresh because they're ROCK HARD if they've been sitting out for more than 15 minutes! Chronic Taco, the mericanized interpretation of a clean street style taco.

    Shannon W.

Yuuum and fun! I had a grilled shrimp taco (Baja style) with Baja sauce and a carne asada taco (street style) with green sauce. The tacos were large, and I love being able to try different styles in one meal. I'll definitely be back!

I did not dine in the restaurants, so I can't speak to the in-person dining experience. Overall, I was impressed with the room service. Every meal arrived fresh, hot, and well-presented, and each staff member who delivered my food was friendly and courteous. Here are my thoughts on the items I ordered: Cali Burrito - Generous chunks of steak and shrimp made this a yummy with the portion size just right, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Clam Chowder - Good flavor and enjoyable overall. While I've had better clam chowder elsewhere, I would definitely order this again. Truffle Fries - I was craving ties so this hit the spot. Both the ketchup and black garlic sauce complemented them perfectly. Brussels Sprouts - Unfortunately, this dish missed the mark for me. There was too much sauce, which made it soggy and mushy, and the overall flavor was overly salty. Chocolate cake - this was a miss. It was dry. Cornmeal Pancakes - Absolutely delicious. The blueberry butter elevated the dish, and it was easily one of my favorite items during my stay. Overall, I was very pleased with my room service experience. The quality of the food and the excellent service left a positive impression, and I would be happy to dine at the restaurant itself the next time I'm in town.

Room service is always wonderful and the food comes from Baleen Kitchen. So I can attest to great coffee, fresh pastries and almost all of the breakfast choices. This day we enjoyed brunch outside at Baleen's. It was a beautiful setting with excellent service and very comfortable. We enjoyed the crabcake benedict, Huevos 'Redondos', Chia Pudding, and American Breakfast with bacon. The benedict was absolutely delicious and a special treat, the Huevos 'Redondos' was so very flavorful, and the American Breakfast is always a fan favorite. The breakfast potatoes are some of the best you will find. The portions are perfect, enough to fill your tummy. Enjoy the food, enjoy the scenery, enjoy the service! Sometimes food and service will be second when seeking out a marina type restaurant, but not here. They all three will put a smile on your face. The food is solid. It's as tasty and well put together as I remember it to be. We started with the bacon cheddar buttermilk biscuits. I think these have been here since day one. They're FULL of lovely smoky bacon pieces and are at least 4" round! It's a pretty hearty appetizer. We quickly moved on to dinner, here's what the table ordered: Lobster & Sweet Corn Risotto - the risotto was cooked perfectly. Be sure to mix that poblano pepper butter in the middle up, it adds a great smoky chili flavor to each bite. My oinly complaint about this dish is that they used claw meat. I'm just not a fan of lobster claw, it's too gelatinously rubbery for me. Skirt Steak - Oooo, this was medium rare to perfection. The smoked paprika chimichurri gave a burst of flavor and a mild heat at the back of my throat. Chilean Sea Bass - Chilean sea bass always cuts like buttah! 2 people ordered this at our table and I'm pretty sure they loved it, that side of the table was pretty silent for 15 - 20 mins. Pork Porterhouse - This dish had the most flavor. The spaetzle was cooked and browned on the griddle, it had a fantastic crispy crust. It was a little on the salty side BUT I think 's because it needed more carbs to tame the salt. For me, it would have been PERFECT with a little rice or mashed potatoes or creamed sunchokes. Parking still sucks in MB but right behind the restaurant is a parking garage that's free after 6 pm.

Just a place to kill time while my iPhone and watch clawed back to life. The bar was empty, except for the bartender, quietly gliding between folding towels and polishing glassware like it was ritual. I'd missed breakfast, so the plan had to shift. The Turkey Club caught my eye--classic, no fuss. I ordered it, skipping the tomato and avocado, and added a side Caesar for balance. Simple, solid, exactly right for that in-between kind of afternoon. Later that evening, I came back to pregame--needed something to smooth the edges. I was headed into a house full of strangers, stepping into a holiday tradition I barely understood. Tito's and tonic felt like exactly what the doctor would've prescribed--crisp, clean, just the right amount of courage in a glass. The pour was generous, and before long, I felt the lock in my head click open. Wit, charm, one-liners--I could feel the entertainer in me stirring, ready to trade in the quiet for something electric. The bartender--sharp-eyed and perceptive--caught the thirst in me and asked if I was ready for another. I didn't hesitate, even knowing happy hour was just a concept, not a deal. His delivery of the bad news was so dry, so perfectly timed, I laughed and handed over my card without blinking. Sometimes, a good drink and a better exchange are worth the markup.

After browsing through their menu, we ordered the following items: Special Fish Combo (Spanish Mackerel): The Spanish mackerel was nicely grilled but lightly seasoned. It had quite a few bones, which took a little bit out of the enjoyment of the meal. The udon noodles had a very nice texture, however the broth was on the bland side. The California rolls were well made and flavorful. Tempura Combo: The shrimps were tender, however, the battered outer layer of the tempura was a tad thick and not quite airy. Like Fish Combo, the udon had a bland broth, and the California rolls were fine. Our main issue was the 50-minute wait time for the meals. As a courtesy, the restaurant definitely should have informed us about the delay.

However, the ambiance did not fit the vibe of the restaurant at all? It overall feels like an awkward space and maybe that's due to how empty it was on a Saturday night. We also had a reservation for two people at 6 pm and requested the bar seat however when we got there, they said they couldn't seat us there because people were coming. That I would have understood if it were true. We were there for the next hour and no one came in except for a big party behind us so the restaurant was practically empty. Then later on when we were about to leave another couple came in and they were given the option to choose where to sit. I somewhat got the feeling that the people just didn't care for their customers. As for the food, I first ordered the karaage as I heard it was really good here, and it was. We got it off the happy hour menu and it came with 3 pieces. the meat was nice and tender and the outside had a really nice crisp. It came with a lemon slice, but it could use a little mayo on the side. the edamame was basic but well salted. The negi gyoza was also pretty basic, but good; it was nice and refreshing. The broiled salmon miso was my favorite. It was cooked very well and the flavor was great with a slight sweetness at the end. The Buta Kimchi was a good size but I was hoping for a little more pork, however it was very savory and the kimchi was very flavorful. The Baked Potato Macaroni with Cheese was a confusing name for what it was. It was a baked Mac and Cheese with just a little bit of potato in it. It had a lot of brown butter taste in it, which I enjoyed but it was a bit over powering. Finally the Happa Original Curry Rice was just alright. It felt pretty good and the meat was nicely stewed. I think it would be even better if it were a bit spicy. With decent food, bad pricing, questionable service and an awkward ambiance, I would not come back and would not recommend this restaurant.
