I've been here 3x in the last month. I would probably go again next week if I could. It's that good. They have 3 tiers and we opted for the gold one each time. I feel like it's the best option because you get most of the menu without feeling like you need to overeat the premium stuff. The meat is super great quality and you get nigiri, sashimi, plus a bunch of sides. The amount of options is staggering. On top of that, you also have the self-serve section where you can load up on fruits, rice, curry, cheeseburgers, dessert, and drinks (even green and black milk tea!). There are so many options. Service has been top notch each time as well. Ben was our server today and he was really attentive and friendly. Ben and the other waiters were constantly clearing our table to make room for more food and checking in frequently. Tbh, the only downside to this place is the wait but that's what happens when the food and service are good. We opted to go for an early lunch or dinner. Great selections of meat to drinks to fruits and desserts. Funny to say but I was actually very impressed with the egg tart for my dessert from the dessert bar. Service was wonderful. From cooking your meat to perfection to getting you everything you need to make your dining experience fulfilling. Grill changes also make each selection of your meat wonderfully perfect. I missed the section where the rice and the minced meat sauce was until I was way too full. I'll be better prepared at the next visit. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach but glad I focused mainly on the meat selections from the screen this trip. Don't hesitate to ask the staff for recommendations. I couldn't fully chew through some of the meat and the staff helped me select some other types of meat that was easier for me to chew. Loved my second round of meat because of that. Expect a wait but also worth the wait. Once you're seated everything is worth it. The tables they seat you have ample seating and elbow space. This was my first time at Chubby Cattle. After hearing so much about it through TikTok, I had to see what the hype was about. And all I have to say is, it's so worth it. We went for their soft opening, and I was left impressed. The place is well kept and kind of had that "what's next?" feeling. I was really impressed by the service, food options, and how well thought out everything was. Shoutout to our server Josh and manager Annie! They really took care of our party and went out of their way to explain the menu and ask if we had any feedback. Felt very welcoming and at home, an experience I hope you all get to share. My game plan going into Chubby Cattle was to try as many different things as I could. We ordered from the Diamond Menu. Beverages - I loved the drink options. They had the usual fountain drinks, but also in-house specials like orange juice slushie, passion fruit slushie (my favorite), samurai milk tea, and house milk tea. I highly recommend the passion fruit slushie, it wasn't overly sweet but super refreshing after all the meat! Hot Appetizers - Durian corn cheese - I was skeptical since I'm not the biggest durian fan, but I had to try it. Honestly, it worked! I enjoyed the flavor and it didn't have an overpowering durian taste. Sweet potato cheese & corn cheese - Really good. You can tell it's a different cheese blend, baked so it's melty with a nice crispy top. Wagyu curry - This was okay. The meat was very tender and flavorful. If I was served this at a Japanese restaurant, I'd be happy. Egg tart - Liked this a lot. Flaky and not overly sweet. Cold Bar - I didn't try much, but they had a fruit bar, a grilling veggie bar with sauces, and a grilling add-on bar with garlic, peppers, fresh wasabi (amazing with meat). Meat Options - Ordering meats is done through a tablet, and with the Diamond option it tracks your premium/limited items (2 per person). Once you use them up, it grays out the choice. Super impressed, it worked smoothly, unlike some sushi kiosks that bug out. Our group basically tried everything. My favorites were the premium Wagyu ribeye, lamb chops, pork belly, and beef tongue. The Wagyu ribeye melted in your mouth like butter. The beef tongue had that chewy bite but still melted. The surprise winner for me was the lamb chops, Josh got a perfect sear and char so the cumin seasoning really stood out, with no gaminess at all. Personally, I prefer the thicker cuts of meat. With Wagyu, the thickness made it melt like butter while still being substantial like a steak . The thin slices were good too, but I liked the texture of the thicker cuts. For dipping, I loved the salt or ponzu. Salt was my go-to, and ponzu was perfect for cutting through the fattier meats. Pro tip - Try the takoyaki and the tofu with pepper powder. The takoyaki was crispy (crispiest I've had in the States, even more than at night markets) with a flavorful, airy batter. The tofu was so crispy yet full of flavor we ordered it twice. Dessert - I've got a sweet tooth, so I had to try the soft serve ice cream and the crepe cake. Loved that they offer both these and fruit. The soft serve was way better than standard, like an upgraded hometown buffet soft serve. The crepe cake was great too, I tried both vanilla crepe options and made myself an ice cream crepe sandwich. Remember - Treat your self. You work hard and you deserve it !! read more
