Does it NOT say AYCE? Well, be prepared. Everything (good) on the menu is NOT AYCE!!!

SO DISAPPOINTED!!!!! Maybe this is totally my fault, but I had NO IDEA the AYCE did NOT pertain to EVERYTHING you purchased in the tier you selected. We selected the GOLD (middle of the road) and when shown how to use the ordering system, realized the AYCE meats only pertained to the super thin cuts! YOU CAN ONLY GET ONE ROUND of the thick cut A5 Wagyu type. The drink selections seemed impressive at first, but it's really nothing more than "serve yourself" fountain drinks, which includes 2 types of milk tea. No big deal. The cold section is really disappointing. A few vegetables & fruits, Kim chi, which you can barely see due to the dry ice smoke that covers this section. Nothing to brag about. Sizzler does a better job! The dessert area is mixed with a curry & stew pots and an auto dispenser rice machine that plops a serving of rice in your bowl. There are also mini hamburgers, mashed sweet potato and corn cheese (there was absolutely NO CHEESE) in aluminum tins next to the Hokkaido cream cheese tarts & Portuguese Egg tarts in the warmer. We arrived at 4:45 pm on a Wednesday evening. NOT CROWDED AT ALL, but after we checked in,we were told it would be a 15-20 min wait (?).... The restaurant was literally empty! (see photo). We waited 15, then asked what the problem was. She told me they were waiting to change servers to the night shift crew, which should be seamless to the customer, shouldn't it? ... but the least you should do is tell us as it looks strange that we are made to wait when the restaurant is literally EMPTY! There is also a 90 min time limit and your server will remind you numerous times, WHICH MADE ME FEEL RUSHED. There were 4 of us, so the bill including tip WHICH WAS ADDED ON FOR US... came out to over $100 per person. Sure it advertises AYCE, but make sure you know... that does NOT include everything AND you only have 90 min to manually order, have them deliver, cook it yourself and eat, before they bring you your bill... and don't let the door hit you in the rear.

Second time we came to this location and just as great, or even better than our first experience! The staff is always welcoming and our waiter was very attentive to us! He was in charge of the two tables surrounding us and probably more so he was running around everywhere but even so he still shared little stories with us while cooking our meat! Love all the meat, the restaurant decorations, the overall vibe is always a good time :) will be coming back and alway recommend this place to our friends!

Came in for my bday dinner! Worth it to get beef tongue! Self serve side dishes and a variety of desserts. Service is quick and attentative. Chae was my server, she is really friendly and happy to explain any questions you have. She came by the table often and made grill changes often so the meat wouldn't be too charred. The fruit here is always juicy, they have lychee here. Make sure to get membership, only $30 for a year and they give you $58 dinner for free. Good music too! The boba drinks are a separate cost and they have a variety of self serve drinks! Hot tea and slushies.

Great food and excellent service! Our waiter, Darryl, was very friendly and attentive, always making sure we were well taken care of. The quality of the food was outstanding the meat, vegetables, sauces, drinks, and appetizers were all delicious. The only downside was the restaurant's ventilation system. It seemed to work slowly and didn't remove the smoke very effectively, which made it a bit difficult to breathe at times. Compared to RH, RH has the better ambiance, décor, and indoor air quality. This location is smaller, with tables placed quite close together, making the space feel a little cramped. Overall, though, the food and service were excellent.

This is the first time at the Cerritos location and it did not disappoint! I've been to the Rowland heights location and I thought the service couldn't get any better from there, but I was wrong. Moses really took care of us and made sure everything was good. He cooked our meats, changed our grill a couple of times, and even brought us a burger knowing that it is hard to come by at the self service section. Honestly, when it comes to tier selection, the silver tier was perfect for us. Gold is cool too but silver had a lot of good cuts of wagyu choices as well. I really enjoyed the seafood selection. The Argentina shrimp was huge and really sweet! The sushi on the other hand was good too but they were super heavy on the rice. The selection of side dishes was abundant ranging from wagyu burgers to corn cheese. The self service rice and miso was a nice addition. The desserts like the layered cake and cheese egg tarts weren't the best tasting, but the selection of fruits and ice cream topped off our experience. I left feeling super full but satisfied. Meat sweats for days but worth it!

Went here with my friend right when they opened in the morning, and we got Josh as our server. Honestly, he made the experience. He was super kind, attentive, and just genuinely friendly the whole time.But it wasn't just Josh. From the girl at the front who welcomed us in, to the other servers and food runners, everyone was so nice. I don't think people realize how much good service impacts an experience, and this place definitely got that right. One thing I really loved was the self-serve area. They had everything from rice, drinks, and sides available for you to grab yourself, so you don't have to keep asking the workers for every little thing. It made the whole experience feel so much smoother and convenient. The food was SO good. We got the Gold Tier and pretty much tried everything. The meat was amazing, and the dessert was a perfect way to end the meal. We got the matcha dessert with ice cream, and together it was chef's kiss. We came right at opening, but honestly, within about 10 minutes the place was already getting packed, which says a lot. Overall, such a cool spot with great food and even better people. Definitely worth checking out!

1st time here and although slightly pricey, it's worth it! We ordered from the silver menu. They have a bunch of great cuts. I also loved how they have some sushi item included like the yellowtail carpaccio! They also have "buffet" style veggies, fruits and the drinks are included (soda, lemonade, hot teas, milk teas, slushy). Ice cream is also available! We will def be returning! Took our 4 year old on our day date and there was something for everyone! Uni, great meat selection, hand rolls, lobster roll, watermelon, fries, etc oh! And an amazing non alcoholic drinks selection, passion fruit tea, etc - more choices than your usual! And let's not forget the friendly staff! I visited Cubby Cattle again on June 26, 2026, and had Eric as our server. He was extremely attentive and proactive with us (so much so that my husband and I wondered if he was listening to our conversations lol). At one point, we needed more napkins, and they were delivered without us even asking. When our order was taking a little long, we planned to refill our side dishes. Then Eric stopped by, cleared our empty plates, and said he was going back to check on our order (I swear he's a telepath!?). He also stopped by a few times to check on us and showed us a better way to cook the meat since we had overcooked it a few times. Thank you Eric!

AYCE bbq for a decent price. Went on a Tuesday evening - def use the Yelp waitlist, it took us about 30 minutes to get a table, so you can plan ahead with it. The parking lot is busy, but you'll be able to find a spot a little further out. Had the Silver choices, which had Wagyu but no A5 grade. There's a bar for beverages, fruit, Wagyu soup and curry, corn cheese / sweet potato cheese, veggies, and dessert. The meats are pretty thinly sliced and the trays are exactly what's pictured when you order - 4-5 pieces per tray, so may want to order up if you're a bigger group. The thinly sliced meats make a little tough to enjoy - you don't really taste too much. There are some thicker cut choices but wasn't a fan of the seasoning on them. The meat quality was overall OK, but it is all you can eat - so can't expect too much. Also - was not a fan of the sushi (outside of the wagyu one), definitely on the fishy side. Overall, it's not bad but I personally would prefer Mikiya if I had a choice.

I came here today to celebrate my fiancée's graduation, and since it was our first time, we weren't sure what to expect. We decided to go with the Diamond tier, and right away our server, Moses, made the experience great. Before we even started, he recommended that we download the Chubby Club app so we could earn points. They were also running a promo for the Chubby Plus membership, and I ended up signing up since we've been to their sibling restaurants like Mikiya and Niku X. The membership gave us the member pricing, which already saved us about half of what the membership cost, so it was an easy decision. Moses took his time walking us through the menu page by page on the screen, answered all of our questions, and even pointed out some of his personal favorites. That really helped since there were so many options. We tried almost everything on the menu, and what stood out to us was the variety with seafood and meat. The sushi and seafood were a nice balance because the A5 Wagyu can get pretty rich and heavy. Our favorites were definitely the specialty items, especially the A5 Wagyu short rib, A5 Wagyu finger meat, Wagyu nigiri, and A5 Wagyu sirloin. Definitely the salmon carpaccio and nigiri are worth the order and can help balance out the meal. The other AYCE items were also really good, especially the ribeye and tender meat. We also loved the open food bar setup with vegetables, sides, and dessert. Overall, we had an amazing experience and would definitely come back. Moses provided excellent service and made our celebration feel even more special.

One of my top AYCE KBBQ spots! Yes, it's pricey, but the quality absolutely delivers. You get premium cuts, gorgeous marbling, flavor and generous variety. The A5 Striploin is melt-in-your-mouth magic. And the A5 Wagyu Foie Gras Nigiri + A5 Wagyu Uni Caviar Nigiri are luxurious little bites of happiness. My go-tos are the Beef Tongue Platter and the Wagyu Brisket, dabbled in their Special Salt. Honestly, there are no bad choices here. Every bite is yummy! Ordering is easypeasy. Just tap the proteins on the tablet to send orders to the kitchen. Meanwhile, you can make unlimited trips to the buffet bar for milk teas, banchan, wagyu sliders, dessert and more. Big shoutout to Neil, Kayla, and Kevin for taking great care of us over our past visits. The servers are sociable, attentive, and quick with grill changes, so we're never stuck cooking on a sad, crusty grill. The vibes are always fun and electric! Tip: there's a 90-minute limit with the last call at 70 minutes. Order up to 10 items every 5 minutes. Be prepared to come hungry and leave mesmerized!

One of my favorate spots to go to for all you can waygu meat. Meat is tender, good quality and melts in your mouth. Service is decent but they get very very busy. I mean packed all the time with lines waiting outside. It does get very busy so you may need to be on the waiting list for about 1.5 to 2.5 hours depends on busy night. Which is almost every night. Especially on weekends. Few tips or things to know: 1. There is time limit for 90 mins. (they are strict on this) 2. They have Membership ($80 but normally discount to $55 annually) It gets you $10 dollars off per person and applys up to 2 people so you will save $20 dollars for two persons if you get the gold tier. worth it if you plan on going more then 3 times a years. 3. You can order every 5mins up to 10 items so normally what I do is order 10 items then wait and order more every 5 to 10 mins. (It will take time to come and portions are not alot because it is waygu meat). 4. After 1 hour passed they will ask to make finally orders so you don't exceed your time limit. I highly recommend Chubby Cattle. Personally I prefer the Japantown location but that does not mean this place is not great. read more

Catherine was kind to explain the stipulations of the membership. Kevin was an outstanding waiter. He went the extra mile to inform us which items had sesame and how to utilize the no sauce option. He also made sure to check on items for us in the kitchen that were behind. Food was exceptional. Gold tier is the best value. Make sure to focus on eating the A5 meats and try not to side quest on the other niche items too much because 90 minutes flies by pretty quick. The nigiri was surprisingly really good, although it felt like more rice got progressively added into the nigiri after a couple of rounds so beware of that. Unfortunately, the pickled radish was out for the entirety of my stay there, kind of the only thing that was a bummer. The lay out is great for seating, however the traversal in the front can be a little compact and narrow at times. Overall, the allergy accommodations was much appreciated, meat quality was spectacular and the customer service is what you'd expect for paying a premium. 5 stars read more

WARNING COME HERE WITH AN EMPTY STOMACH! This place is one of my favorite AYCE spots. I got a silver menu and despite being their cheapest menu, I didn't get that feeling. The wagyu briskets, the iberico pork, and my fav the beef tongue were all must get. We had an amazing experience at Chubby Cattle! The food was delicious and high quality. What made our visit great was our server, Sam. Sam was very kind, knowledgeable about the menu, and went above and beyond to help us cook all of our meat perfectly. Went to the Chubby Cattle BBQ spot today with family, it did not disappoint! The Wagyu was incredibly delicious -- super marbled, and literally melted in your mouth with every bite. We went for the silver tier (to try it out) and loaded up on short rib, brisket, and wagyu sliders. Ding even getme started on the fresh sushi and sashimi! Super fresh and high quality. The self-serve station with unlimited milk tea, soft serve, and all the fixings had my boys going back multiple times. Everything felt fresh, the grill stayed hot, and the our server Ben Si kept the meats coming without being pushy. Yeah, it's on the higher end for AYCE, but totally with it. We loved it so much that we purchased the annual top level membership. If you're into premium Japanese-style BBQ, this place is a winner--definitely heading back soon! From the moment we walked in, the receptionist set the tone with patience and clarity, taking the time to explain the different dining levels and how they determine your meat selections. Since it was our first visit, we chose the lowest tier--and believe me, it did not disappoint. Our server, Sam, was exceptional. He took the liberty of ordering a few extra items for us (thank you ) and even helped with the cooking until we got the hang of it. Every cut of meat was flavorful, and the sides were just as delicious. The ambiance felt cozy and friendly, making the whole experience even better. There is a 70‑minute time limit, but since the restaurant wasn't crowded, we were able to stay a bit longer--not that we needed it, because we were full well before the time was up. I also loved the convenience of ordering additional items directly from the monitor at the table. Everything we requested came out quickly. Note: If you don't eat much, this may not be the best spot to get your money's worth. Overall: At first, I thought the pricing was a bit high, but once I saw the options and experienced the quality, that thought changed quickly. Ryant was our server this time and the service was great. He was very attentive and checked on me and my husband often to make sure we were doing well. Ryant also did a nice job cooking the full blood wagyu steak. I'm so glad that my husband took me here for a late birthday celebration. I'm also three months pregnant and was craving meat so this was the right choice, haha. For anyone who is expecting, I recommend this place as long as you cook the meat thoroughly. The Cali Squeeze Blood Orange was a standout, and they also seemed to carry Firestone Walker products, including 805. The staff were friendly and responsive, which was refreshing. While the brisket had cooled by the time we got home, it was still tender and flavorful--just like the pulled pork. The real surprise? The chimichurri that accompanied the brisket--an unexpected and delightful touch. Overall, I'd rate the experience as average. With this 18% gratuity, I had to track down the waiters/ waitress 3 times to restart our burner, get the you're not worth my time attitude for it. I wanted to like Mr. Lees but with the decent food and subpar service is hard for me to do. I think the saving grace here was my God son pick this place for his graduation dinner. Check it out if you're curious, but for me I'll pass the next time Mr. Lee's pops up in my radar.

I had to edit this review because I wanted to mention that I was reading some of the other reviews and somebody said the pancake " just OK" I am very picky about my pancakes and these pancakes are so good ! Served with warm syrup and lots of butter! But very flavorful without anything on them too. Fresh squeezed orange juice as well ! I forgot to mention that! What more could I look for in a breakfast spot?

The Rock Shrimp Tempura was delicious--the creamy spicy sauce was so good. I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen (no mushrooms because my boyfriend is allergic) and added the small Chashu Rice Bowl for $5. The broth was amazing--rich and creamy without being too heavy. The rice bowl was good too, though I wish the mayo on top had a little spice. Adding chili oil and sriracha fixed that. My boyfriend got the Chicken Shoyu Ramen, and after stealing a sip of his broth, I can confirm it was delicious too. The service was excellent. The host was super friendly and gave manager/owner vibes, our server was great, and other staff members checked on us throughout the meal. Our bill was around $70 for two people, including appetizers, drinks, ramen, and the extra rice bowl. We even had leftovers to bring home, so I thought it was a great value. I'm pleased to report that Chubby Cattle delivered rather splendidly. The ambience was lovely. Comfortable, inviting, and--most importantly--the music was not deafening. Unlike certain establishments (cough Gen cough), where one must practically communicate through semaphore flags due to the absurd volume. At Chubby Cattle, one can actually hear their spouse speak. A revolutionary concept. The food was delicious, and the service speed was genuinely impressive. Orders arrived quickly, which is particularly important when one has mentally committed to an all-you-can-eat experience with the seriousness of an Olympic event. Now, I must give special praise to our waiter, Ben. What an absolute gentleman. He went above and beyond for us and kindly guided us through the experience, which was immensely appreciated considering it was our first time there. Dining somewhere unfamiliar can occasionally feel like trying to assemble furniture without instructions, but Ben made the whole journey smooth, welcoming, and genuinely enjoyable. That said, there was one small downside: the restroom. Unfortunately, it was rather messy and seemed somewhat neglected compared to the rest of the establishment, which stood out because everything else felt so well put together. As a first time goer for Chubby Cattle, I've always heard great things about it from friends and family. First impressions was the service, specifically from Moses, our server for the evening. He was very informative and helpful to our party that were there for the first time. From explaining how to order, to informing us about the recent upgrade promotion for more coupons to their other locations and restaurants. He even went ahead and cooked a few rounds of meat for both tables! It was a great pleasure to have Moses care for our party. Speaking of cooking, let's talk food. There was a premium and regular section to the menu. The premium section would be ordered once, then after it's all you can eat with the remainder of the menu. I personally recommend the wagyu uni caviar nigiri, it gave me a hint of japan that i missed so much. The food came out in a timely manner and there was also a self served bar with salads, fruits, drinks and dessert, They even had milk tea which was pretty good!
