Super friendly staff here. Got seated quickly and food is good, hot, and fast. I like their breakfast options here. There's no restrooms here though. Typical diner atmosphere and folks.

Another amazing breakfast in the greater Sacramento area! Chubby's is a cute throw back diner that offers a wide variety of menu choices. We opted for breakfast. We heard that Chubby's has one of the best versions of biscuits and gravy around. They were not kidding! The food is tasty and portion sizes here are huge! Service was friendly and the space was small but clean. We'll be back.

Great food! My picker eater also enjoyed his kid breakfast!

We visited Roseville for the first time and found the spot on yelp. We're glad we tried it! Great little hole in the wall spot with killer breakfast, service, and it's kid friendly. We got there at 9am on a Saturday before the rush. Great portion sizes and you can tell the food is great quality as we did not leave feeling sluggish. We in LA but if we ever make back up we will definitely be coming back!

I love coming here whenever I'm in the Roseville area. We often come for breakfast, although we've been known to come for lunch a couple of times too. The staff here are really nice and make sure that you have everything you need such as coffee, refills, and condiments. There's no restroom open to the public but if you ask an employee, they will give you a code. There's plenty of seats at the counter as well as tables and booths. To go orders are honored here. there's plenty of parking outside in the parking lot. I highly recommend you check this place out for the cool environment and the delicious food.

Great start to my Sunday! I came to Chubby's Diner for brunch after reading several 5-star reviews. I wasn't sure what to expect since the windows are tinted, and it doesn't look very inviting. However, my first impression changed as soon as we walked through the door. We were greeted by friendly folks wishing us a good morning and were seated at a window booth. Inside is small yet cozy, and I noticed nearly all the booths were filled. Chubby's also has an open kitchen concept so you can see all the hot plates coming out. We ordered the love me tender (chicken fried steak) and bacon, spinach, tomato, and avocado omelette. Both dishes came with grilled potatoes (be sure to order extra crispy) and we upgraded our toasts to biscuits and gravy. Everything was delicious and the server shared that everything is homemade! Best diner experience in the Sacramento area and one that I'll continue to crave on Sunday mornings.

I'm not one to leave 5 stars on a review , but let me tell you that this Diner deserves every star. We had a recommendation to try it, and we did. Small family type Diner, that has a feel good atmosphere. The staff is awesome. Friendly fast service with great personalities. The food was amazing. I had the bacon, mushroom omelette. The portion was large, and the eggs cooked to perfection loaded with fresh bacon and mushrooms. The home potatoes are a 10/5 excellent. My husband had the BBQ bacon burger with a side of delicious home fries along with the best ranch dressing I have ever had. This restaurant is a definite must try, that I highly recommend. My top five eateries in Sacramento.

Chubby's Diner is 50's style diner located in Roseville Square at the cornder of Douglas Blvd. and Harding Blvd. The menu includes breakfast, lunch, and diner dishes that range in price from $10.00 to $20.00. There's also a less expensive kids menu and a variety of desserts. After two visits, I'm convinced that Chubby's Diner is a great place to eat. I ordered the mushroom and swiss burger both times because I enjoyed it so much during my first visit. It's a hearty burger served on a fluffy bun and comes with lettuce, tomato, and onion on the side. Each bite was filled with hamburger, hot saute'd muschrooms, and gooey swiss cheese. It was very satisfying and filling with all the mushrooms. Not to metion a large order of steak fries on the side. The fries there were cooked perfectly each visit and came with plenty of ranch when I requested it. The service was speedy and the staff is very friendly. One of the owners even walked around visiting with regulars during one of my visits. The decor gives it an authentic feel and I enjoyed the old movie posters. I ejoyed both of my visits and ate so much, I left feeling "chubby" each time.

Plain cheese burger, grilled onions, cheese. No veggies how I like it! Hosemade buns! Thick fries!

I have heard Chubby's Diner is good, what is the best dish as I am going to have to go try this place?

You really can't go wrong with the menu, turkey club sandwich and the Mr. Chubby's burger are my top two choices though. The owner is really nice and genuine, great sense of humor too! Love this place!…

The food, service, and ambiance were all terrific and made for a comfortable, delicious experience we will be returning to soon. We had tried going there once before about 6 months ago, but the wait was too long for our schedule that day. Yesterday, our party of four showed up at 11, and the wait was only 10 minutes. Our server, Kristin, was amazing. She answered our questions perfectly and without hesitation; she was always there to refill iced tea and bring anything additional we needed - the service was flawless in every way. We were at a booth for four, and the booths are comfortable and clean. The layout of the restaurant is efficient, and perfect for the dining experience FSC is offering. And the food? Off the charts 5/5! I hadn't had pancakes in a long time, so I ordered the blueberry pancakes. The two pancakes were both massive and delicious. Fresh blueberries in the batter and on top, and they were perfectly ripe and flavorful. I can't envision anyone actually finishing all of it, but I was happy to take home leftovers. The pancakes were fluffy and light, among the best I have ever had. I also had a side of the house-cured bacon, which I requested crispy, and which arrived perfectly crispy and delicious. Mrs. K had the blue cheese burger and loved it. I was granted a taste, and I agreed. Juicy, prepared exactly as ordered, and served with exceptional fries that were crispy outside and soft inside. Our friends had various forms of eggs and bacon, including a dish FSC calls Beggin' For Bacon. The egg dishes looked perfect, and our friends confirmed they tasted as perfect as they looked. FSC gets a ton of 5-star reviews, and they deserve every one. We will be returning soon and often, and obviously, I highly recommend FSC for your next breakfast/lunch outing.

We tried this spot out for the first time this morning after driving by it for years. The Owner's Yelp business description states they "specialize in breakfast", which sounded awesome. Reviews and photos looked so promising. Our experience was nothing like what others have shared though :( The space is nice and spacious, with an old school vibe which we liked, and we were so hopeful upon entering for the first time. Service was polite enough...but felt insincere and disinterested in taking good care of the customer. The one employee who I felt actually cared was the hostess, but the waitstaff seem to just be going through the motions. We shared it was our first time coming and we were excited to treat ourselves to a rare breakfast out. We needed a few extra minutes to study the menu since it was our first visit, but then we got forgotten about. I attempted to catch the waitresses attention numerous times with no success. After waiting about ten minutes longer than was reasonable, I did seek out the hostess's help in tracking down someone who could take our order. She was super apologetic, but of course it wasn't her job as she was busy seating people and handling her own tasks. The biggest disappointment was the food - in looking back at the photos the French toast we ordered looked nothing like the photos - first, when I asked what the difference between the 1/2 and full order was we were told it was 4 slices vs. 6 slices. That definitely seemed to justify the price so we ordered a half order for my young boy and I to share. What came out was shockingly different - it was two tiny slices of bread that looked like the inexpensive sliced grocery store bread. Because it was already small thinly sliced bread before being cooked, it was truly tiny once plated. We were honestly surprised they felt comfortable serving it. Maybe they ran out of their thick large French toast bread? No matter, they certainly shouldn't have served what we received though. It was confusing and embarrassing, IMO. So, we were misinformed that it was a 4 slice portion when it was 2 small thin slices of bread cut in half...that is not 4 slices of French toast. And then the waitress didn't come around our entire meal so I couldn't inquire about it until we were done. I ended up giving the French toast to my boy who ate it all in under 120 seconds, no joke (because there wasn't much to eat) and then he said he was still hungry. I, too, was quite hungry. Other family members agreed that the taste was good, but nothing special, and the servings did not match the high prices. So, the food was tasty enough but the portions were unreasonably small and do not justify the price, the service lacks greatly, and the misinformation was truly disappointing and misleading. When I did politely ask at the end about why she said it was 4 slices vs. 6 slices the waitress backpedaled stating she meant it was 4 halves vs. 6 halves...and then she apologized that we were leaving hungry and offered me a biscuit. ??? Why would I want a biscuit? I just wanted the meal the waitress told me I was ordering. I wanted what some previous customers have shared in their photos here. The French toast in the photos here on Yelp looks legit and exactly what we wanted and expected...again, so odd the kitchen staff felt comfortable plating up the order we received. Zero quality control there. Honestly, it was just a weird and disappointing experience that had us leaving hungry and unsatisfied, so we went home and prepared a meal there. We are super chill people with realistic expectations, so for us to struggle with this first experience says a lot about how subpar it was. The price of a soft drink is unreasonable as well ($5) - which isn't a huge deal, but with the disappointing food it was just the icing on the cake. A large cup is served but it's completely filled with ice. When asked if we wanted a refill she brought a small cup over with 85% ice and some soda, using that small cup to refill the large cup...splashing soda all over the table and then having to use her dirty damp rag shoved in her apron pocket to clean it up around our food plates, which was definitely unsanitary and made us cringe. There were customers there though - not sure if they were first-timers like us due to the new Farmers Market, but maybe they do have a repeat clientele so none of this matters to them because they can keep their doors open without new customers like us. Sad to try a local business we were excited about and then have this disappointing experience. We envisioned making trips to the new Farmers Market across the street often and then enjoying a wonderful breakfast afterwards, as a nice new Saturday morning tradition. Sadly we will not be returning to this restaurant.

I had asked one of their excellent staff members to see if she was ok -- she had been in there for some time. She WAS OK. l finally went into the room (10 minutes later) to check on her myself. Between the time of the first check & "now", she HAD fallen on the semi-wet floor & couldn't get up by herself. My wife has Parkinson's disease . I helped her up but we had to leave immediately for the Emergency Room - she had broken something in her arm! After casting her wrist (& having x-rays of her head, neck wrist, & arm), we drove home. The next day, Wednesday, January 21st, I talked with another friend at Huckelberries while I was picking up an Arnold Palmer for my wife, I jokingly said that we should sue the establishment. After a couple of laughs, I reiterated that this was just a joke. She shared this information with Dominic, her manager. Dominic immediately texted me saying we could no longer eat there. Also if ANYONE working there talked with myself or my wife, they would be fired immediately! I shared with him that I had been joking & I stated that we would not do anything more. I was just JOKING. (A lousy Joke, I realize now, but a joke nonetheless.) During our limited back & forth "talking", NOT ONCE DID HE ASK HOW MY WIFE WAS!! Not Once! I feel that this was something that anyone, especially with a business background, should/would ask. But not Dominic.
