Is there that much demand for salad that looks like it came out of a bag? Seems pretty pricy for the type of food but at least it includes a drink. I enjoyed my meal at Chuck-A-Rama. It's a buffet place, don't expect anything super great. However, it is cheap and staff are great. I eat here often and never have had any issues with anyone. I especially want to shout-out Valentina who handled a terrible customer earlier today. From the reviews, it looks like Sara M from San Francisco thinks she can walk into a restaurant and boss people around. Today Sara M came on in a little after 4 and demanded the lunch special. Lady, everyone knows Chuck-A-Rama stops lunch at 4. The lovely cashier calmly explained that their system changes over at 4 and she could not give the lunch special. Sara M (from San Francisco) loses it and starts harassing the poor girl! There I am, just eating away, watching this mess unfold! Sara M (still from San Fran - just go back lady) harassed her about 20 mins before I had to leave. I imagine that insane woman continued longer. We came here last night for my grandmas birthday. We're not a huge fan of the seat yourself policy because with our large group we couldn't find a table where we could all sit together so we asked the staff if they could help. Quickly they cleared off a large table so we could all sit together. The food was alright, and they kept it docked pretty well. As soon as the potatoes were empty more came out quickly after. The meat was a little cold but the coconut shrimp was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It's not our favorite place to go but the friendly staff made up for the downsides. read more

It's a buffet... better than some. They are kind enough to create a list of gluten free options that you can carry around. It's safer to stick with the salad bar if you find a clean plate. Careful. Be sure to check you plate first. The server is nice to clear your table and bring refills as needed. The price reflects the amount you can gorge. Save yourself and hit the salad bar first! Typical Chuck-A-Rama buffet. If you're in the mood for a buffet, this hit the spot. The food was freshly prepared. I liked that the cold food was cold and the hot food was hot. It was clean and the service was good. I loved the drink selection, besides Pepsi they offer apple bear and iron port, slushes and more. My biggest problem is I want to try so many things. The salad bar had a variety of fruits, vegetables and dressings. They offer sliced to order roast beef, ham and turkey on Sunday. The fried chicken was so good. The outside was crispy and the meat was tender and cooked through. The sconces, squash and rice pudding are some of my favorite items. It was clean. Be sure to check out the chuck wagon display when you leave. They have a search and find sign posted that we had fun doing. We like the food, the decor and service. Ok. I eat Keto, and there's so many options for doing this here. The turkey pot roast is to die for, and the baked chicken is, too. It's amazing reading the previous reviews of how picky people are in Utah! lol -Not enough gluten free options -$14 is to much money for "all you can eat buffet" -not enought "diverse" options lol what a joke Coming from the Bay Area in California we would be lucky to something like this. A establishment that is relatively new and clean with $15 for all you can eat buffet! I would like to see some of you people in Utah visit the Bay Area and visit some of the buffets here! Back to the review. Price is ranged due to age (for kids) and adults are at a set price. You also have the option to take cash back (kinda weird) but it's mostly for the waiter/waitress tip. After you pay you're seated where the waitress serves your drinks. You also have the option to make your own drink too. Food variety is great! We went on a Friday where it was Fried Chicken. Lot's of variety. Salad/Soup bar is great! Kids selections are great! Pizza, French Fries and Chicken Tenders with the combination of different sauces. Dessert Table has a great seleciton. Ice Cream Machine and bunch of options of desserts (brownies, cookies, cake). A great selecitons of old fashion soda (cream, root beer, flavored root beer) and also a slushy machine. It was a little bit of a wait and I thought they had a bigger selection of food (at least for kids). The food that they do server is really good. Meat is really good and same with the coconut shrimp! I also like the fact that you can get your own drinks and it come with the purchase of the meal. One other thing I like is that the price of the buffet is determined by age. So you pay less for each of the younger ones. The younger they are the cheaper it is. read more

Alright.. So as far as buffets go, they can be questionable.. I have to say. This place is great. It is very clean and they make sure the food it out and fresh. Even when the place is packed, they do a great job with their service. I can not say all of this chains restaurants are this way.. But this locations is great. We haven't been to a Chuck-A-Rama in years and years. We live in CA and it was my FIL's favorite. It has gone way down hill. I remember there being of choices. And lots of serving stations. They had 4 serving stations. 3 different types of chicken. A bowl of fried shrimp that looked like they found it in the back of the freezer and brought it out. A pretty sad salad bar was one of the stations. It had a very sad selection and a worker that was talking and yelling to herself in Spanish.....there was one pasta salad and it wasn't even on the salad bar. The desserts were over on the side and had 3 sad looking cakes and a soft serve machine. One little pizza. The only good thing were the scones and honey butter. And it was EXPENSIVE!!!! 73.00 for 1 senior, 2 adults and one child. We certainly didn't eat $73 worth of food. What a waste! We though the kids would love to pick and choose. Celebrating Thanksgiving here with family as we were out of town. Lines were long but to be expected given the day. The food was good but I agree with other reviewers on turkey, chicken and dessert offerings being less than stellar given special higher cost. Pot roast, rolls and famous scones and honey butter did not disappoint. Kudos to staff for serving hot chocolate to those standing in line and having umbrellas ready for any rain/snow. read more

So delicious you almost feel guilty (I'm sure that it's more calories then you're supposed to have in a day, but so worth it). The pie had too much ginger in it, so it did not taste like pumpkin pie, it also did not have enough cinnamon, and way too much nutmeg. It was so full of ginger it was BITTER The pumpkin roll the same thing overpowered with ginger and very bitter. The turkey was nasty and processed. Very ULTRA SALTY. The fried chicken was way ultra greasy. the only thing that tasted good was the green salad bar. Not much selection or not much different foods we offered than the usual week day fare. The same deserts brownies, chocolate cake, berry cake. that are there every day. They could have used a little creativity to make this not just another ordinary day and added some more desserts. My family made a habit of visiting this location on Sundays. On August 13th we visited this restaurant. We were there for 45 minutes and not one single time did a server visit our table. Our plates were stacked. After being there for 30 minutes I went to the register to let them know that and also I found a piece of metal in my chicken from a scrubber. I was told a manager would come speak to me. He never bothered. I then wrote the corporate office to tell them of my experience and they never contacted me back. As a person with a seasoned palate and an affection for variable tastes, I dined here last Sunday, anticipating a savory meal with all my cravings satisfied and a full stomach! INSTEAD, I left and only 2 hours later with my stomach turning like a piston from a low-oiled engine and my bowels on the brink of requiring a 'Depends' undergarment. I called the manager on duty and told me I needed to speak with the district manager, Mike Johansen! I called the very next day and he assured me that he would look into this matter promptly! I indicated to him that due to my having owned my own company for 15 years and having worked with the media, that I understand that no business is perfect and that I ONLY wanted my money back and nothing more. I called back the following day a few times (to NO avail) out of concern as to what it could've possibly been because I wanted to know if the food from that day had done this to anyone else. I never got a call back!! I called THIS MORNING and spoke with Mr. Johansen, as he informs me there were no other complaints from that day! Well, just because someone doesn't end up in the EMERGENCY ROOM, doesn't mean others didn't have a similar experience that day! I just happen to be a person that holds someone accountable and if food I consume isn't agreeable to me, I simply want my money back!! MIKE JOHANSEN told me that there's NO WAY they're refunding my money for my meal!! THIS is not a place I would ever go to again! Person charged me an additional $30 dollars because they typed in the wrong amount. Spent 3 hours trying to figure it out on the phone. The store lost my transaction. They won't fix the amount. Had to dispute the transaction with the bank. I showed them my credit card statement with the charge and they still didn't believe me. Yep it's a buffet. If you don't like buffet then you probably won't like this place. Overall, the food is good, it's fresh, they have plenty of drinks options and an OK dessert bar. The service has been great at this location so therefore this buffet I believe is as good as it gets. read more

We were hoping to have Golden Corral instead of Chuck a Rama in Lehi, but thought we'd give it a try anyway. We were shocked with the price, $28 for two people and NOT worth it. Should have left right then. There is not much seating, crowded if you sit in the chairs bumping the person behind you. It took our waiter quite a while to show up for our drink orders, we had already gone through one plate of food and it wasn't very busy. The food was either cold, tough, dry, bland or sparse. The COLD roast beef was tough and bland, let alone a sliver of serving and the server didn't even mention that there were condiments to go with any of the meats. I could go on, but my advise, skip this "New" restaurant in Lehi and drive to Orem to Golden Corral, or even The Chuck A Rama in Orem, which is way better than the one in Lehi. read more
