My dining mate got the Cypriot (Halloumi, Fig, Arugula, Tomato, Pesto) with a side of curly fries, and I wasn't very hungry so I got the Beyond Meat Chicken Tenders kids meal with a side salad. I also got a delicious bottled sparkling lemonade. Service was fine-- food comes after order, but you're mostly on your own once food is delivered, as expected. We got a couple of napkins with the food, but there are more self-serve up in the counter. Just don't expect someone to check on you or anything. The food was GREAT. My dining partner loved her sandwich (commented especially on the fig spread) and fries, and I really liked my meal as well. The side salad was surprisingly delicious, especially the addition of pickled red onion. The place was clean-- I went to the restroom, too, and everything was stocked well. Price was very fair. Both sandwiches came nicely wrapped, and I think total cost was a little over $20. And conveniently, they take Apple Pay. These were not your Subway or Quiznos sandwiches-- these were DELICIOUS pressed sandwiches (we got them on focaccia. I personally liked the Dumbo the best-- it had a nice mix of flavors that meshed well. The East New York was solid and had a nice spiciness, but not quite as exciting overall. Would I come back? I think this was an Italian bakery...and it had a truly sensational selection of pastry items, some which were quite arty and unique!! They were also somewhat pricey...but I wanted to try so many. I ended up trying this dessert called "The Fun Guy". It looked like a Mushroom, but inside, it was just heavenly bliss! (I included a pic with all the ingredients inside) Truly, it ranks as one of the best desserts I've had in a LONG time. That's saying a lot, given how I go to bakeries a LOT! The service was good and the atmosphere was good great lunch time crowd. The food has seemed to take a bit of a hit during the change. I ordered the Nordstrom Beyond Burger which used to be amazing. I received my beyond burger and noticed that they no longer serve it with lettuce and tomato. The burger just had cheese, pickles and the sauce, it looked very plain. The way that it was cooked seems to be different as well. I received a handful of fries with my order, not many long fries, mostly short fries. I may have gotten the end of the bag... This used to be a 5 star Gem, now I would rate it 3.5 stars After your meal you pay at the table with your waitress using a hand held device. It's still worth a try, so I would recommend it for newbies if you're a long time customer you might notice a difference.
