It was definitely a Mexican Honduras mash-up. So now on to the review Atmosphere: legit Central American restaurant. Good green salsa, terrible ceviche, as our friend put it, it was viscous which is never good for a fish dish much less a fresh uncooked one. The fajitas were good and large, the chicherones were not something we will ever get my husband (who likes to try new foods) again. My margarita was mid at best. Was it terrible? No. Was it good enough to make it a point to go back? Also no. And if someone could please point me to the real Mariscos El Gato I'd love to know. I miss it and we had been hoping to wow our friends with an amazing meal. :-(

We had a huge carry out order that same for Mother or Father's Day and were treated awful but I attributed it to the busy holiday crowd. However afterwards I continually saw negative reviews from African American customers. However, today my daughter and I went and the food was amazing as always and OUR server was great...let me just say that first!!!! However, the atmosphere and the demeanor and attitude of not just the Hispanic clientele but other older female servers was so blatantly rude it was SAD! POC have soooooo many other worries daily that the fact that I couldn't eat my food and enjoy my time with my adult child is crazy, especially and you're on the corner of Chippewa and Gravios...a literal melting pot. That's crazy work

The food was absolutely delicious--full of flavor and exactly what you'd hope for from a spot serving Southern cuisine. Every dish felt fresh, well-seasoned, and made with care. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional service by the owner, Kyle. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right throughout the visit. It created a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere from start to finish. If you're looking for great Southern food paired with top-notch service, this is definitely a place worth checking out.

The other customers were all friendly and made conversation too. Lots of people grabbing a bite to eat here before heading upstairs to the Attic for live music. Now the food! Damn, that was good. I had the special, crawfish and shrimp creole. It had a lot of flavor and just the right kick from the spices. The rice was perfectly fluffy, and I couldn't stop eating the hush puppies. If you're here, grab dat hurricane too. I could sip on that all day, especially in the summer.

The vibe was just right! The food was fresh, flavorful, and prepared perfectly. We had the hush puppies as an appetizer! The staff were very friendly for our first time. Our server dropped off waters for us right away. It was a seat yourself concept where you order via the QR code, which made ordering easily. We started with caviar deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes, both of which we devoured. The green tomatoes are thicker and had a good bite to them! The gator po'boy was good, though on the dryer side. I would have loved more of the sauce on mine. The chips were perfectly crispy crunchy! My partner got the lobster roll and scarfed it down in a few bites. A bit on the pricier side since it's based on the market value, but still delicious. Great location and delicious food, we'll be back!

We dropped into the bar for a carry out order. The food was awesome. Plentiful and hot and we had leftovers! I want to experience more dishes from Tiny Chef. I gave this a four out of five due to the experience. I am not much of a drinker so I rarely go to bars. Having to walk through the bar, wait for the curtain on the door to open, order at the door and stand around waiting made for an awkward ambiance. Nothing against the bar. There isn't much seating, a couple high tops, a booth and then the bar area. I wished we were drinkers so we could have sat and had a drink while we waited. The dark atmosphere and an ambivalent bartender didn't make me want to sit inside and eat there. If this is your vibe, you will love the pinball bar! This just makes me less likely to want to go back. The food was amazing.

As an avid oyster lover, never would have guessed we would have the option for charred grilled oysters in Missouri. The shrimp was on point and the chicken almost tasted like seafood plus the andouille sausage was spicy without being too hot.
