Mmm mmm mmm! Delicious. I loved the stew and will definitely be back to try more items on the menu. Food was quick and I really enjoyed the ambience of the bar

I have officially added tiny chef's kimchi carbonara to my death row meal. Unequivocally one of the greatest creations! I hope they run the special more frequently. Tucked inside silver ballroom this place screams grunge, dive, and delicious! Fast casual perfect for takeout, or with a shot and some pinball. The little counter is unassuming, but serving some serious flavor. Savory, sweet, umami, garlicy, creamy. I mean this thing is bursting with flavor from all over. Add some of their delicious bulgogi chicken and this thing has everything a human could ever need. Maslow had it all wrong. The only thing humans need on their hierarchy is tiny chef's kimchi carbonara!

Not a big menu, but what they've got, is perfection! I had the Pork Belly Bibimbap with the Dragon sauce and it was absolutely wonderful!!! My daughter got a variety of tacos and found that the spicy sauce, without rice to calm things down, was pretty damn spicy. Service was quick and friendly and I walked out feeling like I'd definitely gotten my money's worth. So glad I finally made it here!

Tiny Chef STL Located inside The Silver Ballroom I tried the Bibimbap Bowl ($15) -- rice bowl with kimchi, radish, sesame cucumber + carrot salad (no scallions), sesame seeds, Char Siu tofu, and Dragon Sauce. Every bite was packed with flavor! I also ordered the Korean Crunchwrap ($20.50) -- refried black beans, vegan cheese, sautéed vegan kimchi, Korean-inspired pico, and a crispy tostada shell. It came with a side of housemade vegan crema and my choice of Spicy Dragon or Sweet Pixie Sauce. I added tofu (+$4), subbed vegan cheese (+$2), and vegan sour cream (+$1.50). Overall: So flavorful, creative, and absolutely delicious! If you're looking for bold vegan comfort food with a Korean twist, go check her out you won't be disappointed.

tinychef is my go to for korean soul food. it's always ridiculously fresh, the vibe is always laid back, and the staff are very attentive and kind. the kimchi carbonara (a NY times mentioned dish) was so good i was mad it was a week only special. so creamy, so flavorful, so delicious. will be back for the next special!

Food was AMAZING. Just a small little spot inside a bar. Highly recommend! Small menu but that is all they need.

This is a cute little placed tucked inside a bar/arcade area. When we went, it wasn't packed, so chatting wasn't an issue. However, I can imagine it if it gets really full, it could get pretty loud. Seating is pretty limited, so take-out is probably a good option. That being said, the food was extremely delicious. I got the Bibimbap w/ double meat (char siu pork belly and bulgogi steak). I had high expectations given the raving reviews on Yelp and Google, and I definitely wasn't let down. The char siu pork belly was perfectly tender with a really satisfying, lip-smacking flavor. The bulgogi steak was juicy and full of flavor. The combination of the two meats added a great variety of textures and richness to the dish (definitely overkill, but I live life in excess). It had a good balance of flavors with the kimchi/radish/veggies providing a good sharp contrast to the rich meats. The portion was generous too, especially with the double meat, and I definitely left feeling full. Overall, Tiny Chef is a hidden gem if you're looking for something quick but packed with flavor. Whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout, it's a must-try spot! 5/5 stars, will come back.

This place has been on my list for a long time. Went here with friends last night. Located in the silver ballroom so it was easy to find. Menu is limited to bibimbap and tacos but they had a nacho special when I went. I ordered the bibimbap with beef bulgogi and my husband ordered tacos. The bibimbap was flavorful and delicious. My husband said his tacos were good as well. Food came out fairly quickly and was brought to our table. The bar is a dive bar and doesn't have a lot of tables but we found one and it was good enough. I would def eat here again and was glad to have finally tried it.

The Tiny Chef in the Silver Ballroom in St. Louis, MO, is a hidden gem nestled within a quirky venue. This is a "If you know you know" spot. The Silver Ballroom is an old-school pinball arcade with a vibrant bar scene, and the addition of Tiny Chef's kitchen...boy did it get an upgrade. Tiny Chef's menu is small but mighty. We ordered take out just recently and we got one of every bibimpap - tofu, chicken, pork and beef. These are fantastic large portions to share. So I got to my parents and unveiled everything to take all my pictures and videos but my dad was hovering so I didn't get as much footage as I would have liked. As we all began to eat...silence...head nodding as to approval and yumminess. Man that's good. Our new favorite takeout!!!

Tucked in the Silver Ballroom, the food is delicious! Any questions I had were answered with a smile. Service was great.

Korean food that's vegetarian friendly? Say no more, I was excited to try especially after reading about the chef. As a vegetarian, it's hard to find good Asian food in general! The place is inside the Silver Ballroom pinball bar which is divey but welcoming. Tiny Chef adds a lot of value to the place. The chef herself took our orders and was super warm and friendly. I was tempted toward the bibimbap, but ended up getting the special which was a musubi burrito. The food came out in perfect timing. One of the orders was wrong, so she immediately fixed it and let us keep the wrong order. So nice. The food was delicious and super filling. At some point, I definitely could have stopped eating and felt full but it was too good not to finish.

One thing you will notice about the reviews that we write is that we are very honest of food quality regardless of price or location. Tiny Chef is a window inside of the silverball room. This night we got regular off menu pork belly bowls (with dragon sauce duh) and bulogi mushrooms. The pork belly was cooked perfectly with an awesome blend of spices dancing in your mouth! This is definitely authentic and not your standard "chinese" or "asian food" - One of our favorite stumbles while drinking a beer and playing some pinball!

This place has been on my list since the beginning of time! I've been to silver ball room a million times, but never stayed long enough to try the food. Where you order the food is an actual hole in the wall inside this dive bar. The food is unbelievable and their specials are the BEST! I did try their tacos as well and WOW! I mean, this food is so amazing and is a MUST try!

I liked the art on the walls and the K-pop playing. On to the menu.... The All You Can Eat (AYCE) selection at WUDON is not AYCE. Unlike all AYCE KBBQ restaurants, WUDON limits selective items that you can order more than once. At AYCE sushi or other BBQs, once you select AYCE, everything can be ordered as much as you want. To top it off, you are required to share a soup, a pancake, and steamed egg. I was disappointed to find that you had to share those items and could not order more. Not exactly "all you can eat". And, like other reviewers, the galbi, or short rib, platter is a one-time order deal. That's..... unheard of for a $28.99 AYCE weekend lunch. St. Louis does not have many Asian cuisine options, especially Korean, so I always try to be understanding if the quality or service isn't the best. My issue is that they should not call a menu selection "all you can eat" if there are contingencies on how many times you can order certain items. I would pay $15 for All you can eat here, not $30+. If you are looking for a first time experience doing AYCE KBBQ in St. Louis, by all means, try WUDON. Since LA, NY, and Chicago are too far to get AYCE KBBQ that is worth it, WUDON is the next (somewhat good) choice.

I'm Korean and grew up with Korean food in Chicago, so I know what the real thing tastes like, and this is the real thing. I got the soondae stew and it completely hit the spot. The flavor profile was so authentic and satisfying!! Came out boiling still, so fresh. The banchan selection was great too and the waitress was really sweet about bringing more if you wanted. My only small note is that I wished the side dishes came out a little earlier rather than alongside the main food, because I was starving by the time everything arrived! But that's a minor thing. There's also a karaoke spot right next door that I heard gets pretty lively at night. I haven't made it over there yet but that is absolutely next on my list.

The food was honestly really good -- but there is a lot this place needs to fix before I can fully recommend it. The first thing that hit me when I walked in was the smell. And not in a good way. It smelled like a sewer. Not what you want when you are about to sit down and eat. It lingered the entire time we were there and was really hard to get past. The front of the restaurant looks okay at first glance. But once you sit down you start noticing things. The tables are wobbly and clearly rigged up with makeshift fixes. Extension cords are running visibly across the floor which looks bad and feels unsafe. The menus and sauce bottles were sticky -- like they had not been wiped down in a long time. Little things like that add up fast. I caught a glimpse of the back of the house and it looked grimy and dirty. That is a problem at any restaurant, but especially at a place where you are cooking your own food right at the table. The staff were not very welcoming either. They were hard to find when you needed something and did not seem very interested in making sure you were having a good time. Now here is the thing -- the food was actually fresh and delicious. The broth was flavorful and the ingredients were good quality. That part genuinely impressed me. But for the price they are charging? The total package is just not there yet. Good food can only carry a restaurant so far. They need to clean things up -- literally -- before I come back. UPDATE: One more thing worth mentioning that I think is really important. Shabu Day is strictly all you can eat -- and that is the only option they offer. For most people that is fine. But for anyone with a medical condition that limits how much they can eat, this format is a serious problem. You are being charged full all you can eat prices for food you physically cannot consume in that quantity. That is not fair and it is not inclusive. A lot of restaurants in this space offer a la carte or smaller portion options for exactly this reason. Shabu Day should do the same. It is a simple change that would make a big difference for a lot of people and would show that they actually care about all of their customers -- not just the ones who can eat the most. Clean things up, fix the smell, train your staff to be more welcoming, and give people a fair way to order. The foundation is there. Now build on it.
