3.5 stars. We tried Claws many years ago, and didn't remember it being too great, so decided to give another try. Was better this time than the last time from what we remember. We scanned the QR code for the menu. For those who like to see the prices of everything and not surprised when the check comes, the online menu does not show the market prices for some of the seafood, and from where we were sitting, I didn't see anything on the walls anywhere with current prices. We started off with the Garlic Fries and Ceviche Oysters. The Garlic Fries were great, and the Ceviche Oysters were okay. We ordered a dozen, and forced ourselves to finish it all. We decided to try the Seafood Pasta, which everyone liked. And for the seafood boil, we decided on crawfish, clams, and snow crab clusters in the Cannon Ball sauce with Fire in the Hole spice level. We had to ask the difference between the snow crab cluster and snow crab segments. Snow crab cluster is the crab legs you'd normally get at restaurants, and the snow crab segments are the leg pieces that broke apart during shipment. Seafood in the boil was good, and the sauce was good, but not great; it was a bit salty. But the spice level for Fire in the Hole was good. On my last visit, I ordered some shrimp and corn. They took so long on the corn that our whole table finished eating. I told the waiter that if they had not started cooking then they can just cancel it. He came back several minutes later stating that it was almost out. Okay, no worries... What they bring out was not what we ordered, this was some vomit mess of an elote plate, when we had just ordered corn on the cob. I politely tell the waiter that that's not what we ordered, he walks over and speaks to his manager, who then approaches our table. This chad mofo, built like a roblox character, comes up to our table and asks if our waiter clarified about which corn we ordered. He did not. However, I didn't think it was a big deal, and not wanting to get the waiter in trouble, lied and said he had specified. This manager tried us, stating, "Oh, because he asked you, we cannot take it off the bill." My table was dumbfounded, as these plates were not $1.50 as the cob, but $8 a plate! We ordered 3 of these! This jabroni took a tone and was really saying that there was nothing he do. I had to take a minute and be like "hold on" duck this, your waiter actually didn't clarify, I was just trying to be nice and not get them in trouble. I love claws it is my absolute favorite Cajun restaurant and believe me I have tried many. For dining in make sure to scan the menu on your phone before sitting down they don't provide menus. If taking out they gave the menus displayed on the table for you to look at. I hadn't been to Claws in while... and finally got the chance last week. It wasn't during crawfish season so most of their crawfish was frozen. It didn't matter to me because all I wanted was crabs. They were out of Dungeness but they had snow crab and king crab. I had to get the King Crab for $40 (market price). It was two legs. I went for their popular Cannon Ball flavor, which is a mix of all three flavors in one. It was perfect! There was plenty of meat and two legs was more than enough for me. They gave us scissors to use for the legs. For sides, we also got a pound of crawfish and an order of their gumbo. The gumbo came with rice on the side. It too was pretty good. The crawfish tasted frozen like we anticipated but the seasoning was good. They had plenty of drink deals going on while we were there. The service was pretty good and the food came out fast. The inside of this place is pretty large. They have plenty of tables and chairs and a large bar in the middle. I also like that there was plenty of TVs for sport lovers. Then I happen looked back at the bar and they let one of their own sit at the bar and served him a cocktail. So I went back to the bar and stood next to this guy and order a beer which they looked at me and was happy to do so now. They had no choice but to give me a beer because they knew I had them and if they didn't serve me a beer all hell was about to break loose. I even went and got some bar stools to sit at the bar. If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. We initially were on the waiting list for Joes Crab Shack but the wait was so long. I checked my saved searches in Yelp, and saw Claws. We called and was told that there was a 5-10 minute wait, so we opted to check it out. OMG I am so glad we did. For starters, the customer service was exceptional. EVERYONE, was so nice and attentive. We ordered 3 pounds of crab; two were all of the sauces combined, and spicy. One of them was simply steamed with a side of drawn butter. Been here a couple times before and besides the food being amazing the service was amazing as well. But today, so far claws is batting zero. Took our server 20 mins to come take our order! And when she did come she only took our drink order. That took 15mins after to get our drinks. So because of the server taking so long we decided to order our food once our drink was dropped. 30 additional mins finally some of our appetizers came out and than we just had to say something. Party of 12 with 18% gratuity automatically added on I guess we would expect a little bit more attention. Took over an hour to get our food and than when we brought up concerns about not getting our appetizers the response was oh we are short staff in the kitchen but funny thing is that other guest who came in after us had gotten their food before we even ordered water. I was so happy to hear this because most seafood broil places don't offer that. This was great because part of my party cannot each spicy. The sauces were decent and a bit on the buttery sides. The combo came with sides, which we chose: Fried Okra and Cajun Fries. DELICIOUS, I don't recommend okra if you don't like that slimey taste. The service here was great.
