Holy hell the seasoning for everything here is SUPER salty. We had the garlic noodles, salty. Tried the cajun fries, salty. And of course we got the cannonball seasoning for the under the sea bag (mix or clams, mussles, shrimp and crawfish), and surprise surprise, it's salty!! We also had a lot of spoiled clams and mussels. This place is also expensive. I want to mention that I love Wild Crab and like, not only their pricing and service, but their seasoning as well. Why does this place have such high reviews? I'm starting to think these businesses buy their reviews from yelp. Our appetizers were put on another table & i could hear the people ask each other if they'd ordered them as they touched the paper they were sitting on. They told their server they weren't their appetizers. The guy picked em up & put em on our table. Strike one. I asked another server to please take them & asked for new ones. We ordered king crab, shrimp, clams, sausage & corn. The king crab, corn & sausage came out before our apps. After the apps arrived we asked about our shrimp & clams & our server, who came back from her break, said she never put them in. She said it would be rushed & we'd get one or the other for free per her manager. Strike two was forgetting to put in an order she repeated back to us but i guess it cancels out since her manager comped 1lb of clams. The 1lb of clams that was comped was all shells. We took out a bunch of empty shells expecting to have the actual clams floating in the sauce at the bottom of the bag. We fished out 5. The calamari appetizer, garlic fries, crab & shrimp tasted great. The service wasn't bad but left alot to be desired. Truly a fun eating experience! Get down and dirty with your food and suck on those shrimp heads! We have been coming here for years and can't believe that I haven't written a review. Claws is my favorite of the cajun shrimp places for a few reasons. First they consistently have tender and good sized shrimps. Second is the sauce, not too oily or buttery, but still packed with flavor and garlic. Their prices are on par with most other places, although they have been increasing. The calamari is also good and the Cajun fries are crispy and well seasoned. One annoying thing is ordering to go. If it's your first time, they won't take your order until you get there and are saved in the system. After that it's like normal ordering for pickup. read more

I usually don't eat seafood boil, but you know.. if I'm going to go, I might as well go to the most popular one in GG! Came here for lunch on a Saturday and there was no line, which is great! We ordered the 5lb mixed meal deal and it was enough for the four of us. We got 2lbs of shrimp, 2lbs of crawfish and 1lb of mussels. For the sides, the roasted cajun corn is a must get. It's flavored with spices and I believe there is some cheese in it as well. We also got cajun fries and fried calamari. The fried calamari was extremely meaty! The fries were amazing as well. One thing to note is that the spice level here is pretty darn spicy. We opted for very mild, which is the second level and I thought there was some spice in it. I came here for a bday lunch. First time at this location. The service was pretty slow but that could've been due to being short staff. The spicy seafood fried rice had a good kick to it. It was not as spicy as I wanted it to be. Thought the flavor was ok and surprisingly the veggies were steamed perfectly. I was expecting soggy veggies. Haha. Had a great experience there for a double date. The medium heat was plenty hot. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to avoid the long wait for some of the more recognized chains. Came with peaches inside of the cup!!! Legit!!!) If you didn't know what "canonball" was... it's garlic butter, Cajun and lemon pepper all together in one! It's dangerously delicious! You can tell when they give you a lobster bib lol the flavors are so intense! Everything was sooooo goooodddd!!! Came out piping hot, the service was attentive and the bathrooms were clean! The food here is really good quality and great. However the service takes forever. I also asked for a mild sauce and my food came out EXTREMELY spicy. I wasn't able to even enjoy it or finish it. This place always has a wait even when there are clearly several open tables. Seems like they have a management issue because the place is always understaffed. They have a super small waiting area too. They should really consider building this area out if they can't utilize tables for customers. Benches or something outside would also be helpful. If you're going to make people wait, give them a place to wait, so they don't have to sit in their cars. You can see so much lost potential revenue when looking around the place. Its really sad. Went to dinner tonight and had ordered the 4lbs. combo. When they brought our order of 1 lbs. of shrimp and 3lbs. of crawfish, the waiter had said "Here's your order of 1lbs. of shrimp and 3lbs. Of frozen crawfish " We then informed them that we were not told that the crawfish were frozen as it is currently in season. The manager came by and then told us that they will go ahead and charge the additional appetizers as separate orders and will charge the crawfish and shrimp a la carte. We said ok, during our meal we realized that they mixed in frozen crawfish with the live crawfish. We were charged for the live crawfish, even though they threw in some frozen crawfish. If you look on the menu, no where does it states that live crawfish would be charged extra, in addition, it stated that Live crawfish may not be available as an option based on season & availability. We are in June and most definitely, live crawfish are in season. This is definitely a bait and switch scheme!! I will never dine at this place again. Claws is becoming my to go place for crawfish. It used to be Boiling Crab but the wait have been ridiculous and it is normally too salty. Claws has wider range of alcohol and I rarely drink but they have my favorite drink here. Bootie call! Yep, hypnotic, peach schnapps and pineapple juice. If you've never had it and like fruity drinks, gotta try it. I love the variety of food offered here. More entrees, appetizers, drinks than BC. Even the corn that comes with crawfish or shrimp bag is better. The garlic bread is good and garlic fries garlicky. It's not very salty so I never have to ask for low sodium. Restaurant is big and lots of room. No getting squished. Lots of TV with sports for you sport geeks. Music is not loud but some customers can be. The house is almost packed tonight. I was here last night to celebrate my late birthday with my family. The hostess greeted my sister and i as we entered. We waited for the rest of our parties to arrive. We ordered a lot & plus with some alcohol. The customer service here was really spot on. The waitress never once forgot anything or wasn't like In a rush . I know we ordered like combo for the 6/7 of us. They provided gloves for the ladies at the table since we had acrylic on. Haha The garlic noodles were pretty decent but it paired well with the rest of the food. I'm more of a shrimp kind of person but the crawfish was good too! We normally frequent Boiling Point, Kickin' Krab or Crawfish House but wanted to give this place a try. My sister and I got the 3lb deal with 1lb each of shrimp, mussels and crawfish in the cannonball sauce. The 3lb deal comes with 2 appetizers so we chose garlic edamame and chicken wings. For add-ons, we went with 12 pieces of sausage and 2 pieces of corn, totaling about $73 including tax. The shrimp was our favorite part since they were large and sweet. The mussels were alright, kind of tasteless even with sauce. The crawfish was rubbery because it was frozen (they let us know they ran out of fresh crawfish) and the cannonball sauce was on the salty side, not a sauce we would come back for. The corn was good and the sausages were the worst part because they were very dry and felt old when we chewed on it, no flavor either. Honestly, the customer service was pretty good and the food was DELICIOUS. We ordered Cajun Fries, Fried Calamari, 1lb of Peeled Shrimp (Mild, Flavor: Cannon Ball), and 4 raw oysters. We made it just in time for the Happy Hour where the fries were $3 and the 4 raw oysters were $6. I also ordered an alcoholic drink called Sunset. I loved the fact that they remade my drink when I told them it was too strong. Great service! Overall, food was delishhh. I had Lunch here today, and I forgot my Sunglasses on the table it took me 20 min to get back to the restaurant from the time I remembered I had left them behind. I Asked the hostess if whoever cleaned up the table put them in the lost and found, she checked their box and nothing. she then went to go ask Chris gentleman that cleaned up our table, she tell's me that the trash they thrown away already got picked up. I'm in shock that 20 minutes and my glasses were never returned and were stolen. Last time I went to Claws was about 4 years ago, and I went back cause I was in the area and I do not like Boiling Crab at all. Claws moved because it burned down? But it's now bigger and better! They even have a full bar, so alcoholics like me can enjoy food and drink together. I went to eat alone. THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH EATING ALONG OKAY? I ordered the cluster snow crabs. Spicy Garlic Edamame, and Cajun Fries! The edamame was perfectly seasoned with right amount of spice. Cajun fries were crispy and cajun-y. Very great for my taste! I think Claws has to be my all time favorite place to get that Cajun/creole seafood in a bag place. I have been going to claws before the second location opening in Cerritos. Before the fire. Before the move to the bigger location. When they first opened up and had the small spot but in the same plaza. Over the years, the prices has risen; especially for their meal deals. But I feel like the quality of the food has always stayed the same. I usually get the 3lb meal deal cannonball medium/spicy depending on who I'm eating with. Sometimes I do get the sauce on the side however, because I've come to realize that it's so much more efficient to dip the seafood in the sauce for a better coating:seafood ratio than being tossed and shaken in the bag. With the meal deals, you can add appetizers from the list of what is available. My favorite was the butterfly shrimp, but they recently taken it off the meal deal menu, which saddens me. They do charge extra to add sausage/corn/potatoes to the meal deal bags as well (which I feel should already be included if you're paying that much). Depending on what you're interested in, sometimes ordering items separately might be cheaper than the deal. Frozen crawfish use to be cheaper by the pound, but now it's almost as expensive as the live crawfish. If you order the meal deal, they usually use frozen crawfish. Or the price isn't adjusted if they're out of live crawfish, they charge the same for the meal deals. And they charge an extra $1 per pound for shrimp. More if you want peeled shrimp. Love their strawberry lemonade and their clam chowder. Love their butterfly shrimp appetizer as well. Definitely think it's better than Boiling Crab. Absolutely amazing garlic parmesan bread. They give you 8 pieces for only $9!! Wow! That's like $1.13 each bread! Relatively a good deal compared to other places! You could also just buy the regular garlic bread (no parmesan) for $8. Well worth it! So good crispy, perfectly toasted, and well flavored with garlic! I recently went here with Raymond R and our friend since one of our friends were about to move and we just had to have some decent crawfish 'one last time' This was my first time I visited their new location, so I especially felt the need to write an updated review. I'm actually really happy with the decor and trendy vibe of the new place. They greeted us and we were immediately seated. This time we were helped by Tony once again, he is awesome. He was telling me about how they have special california crawfish and I was convinced!! I had one lb of crawfish garlic butter mild and a raspberry iced tea. Ray and our friend both got 1 lb shrimp cajun mild/medium. Our friend also got a strawberry lemonade (a million refills FTW) In addition they ordered some $4 appetizers from happy hour: sweet potato fries, butterfly shrimp and garlic fries. Those garlic fries were REALLY good!! Many of their workers checked up on us throughout our meal and we received many refills. Tony also asked me how the california crawfish tasted. It was great. Countdown to Yelp 100 Challenge - Review #93 I came here w/ the lovely Lica N. (See Katrina N., it is not weird to ask your yelp friends to meet you for a meal! - lol). Lica had reviewed this place, and I complimented how much I wanted to go: AND VOILA! Lica and I coordinated our schedules and here we came. We started off w/ the Shipwreck: Fried calamari, shrimp and mussels ($10.95). All of the seafood was super fresh and fried to perfection: 4 Stars. They also have fried frogs legs, fried soft shell crab, crab cakes and garlic fries on the menu. We also ordered 2 lbs of crawdads (cajun medium), 1 lb of shrimp (garlic butter medium) and 1 lb of clams (cajun/garlic butter medium). I don't remember what the foregoing items cost, but the total tab was $62 (before tax and tip) and we had a soda and beer too. Lastly, for a "stowaway", we ordered garlic bread ($5.95). They have other stowaways like french bread, vegetables and salads. The crawdads were excellent. They were super fresh, not too spicy and the bag included a small piece of potato, corn on the cob and a couple of pieces of andouille sausage: 5 Stars. The shrimp were also excellent. They were super juicy and fresh: 5 Stars. Lastly, the clams were also outstanding. They were nice sized and super fresh: 5 Stars. The garlic bread was OK. It was just good enough to sop up the delectable sauces: 3 Stars. The ambiance is whimsical pirate motif. The place is spacious and there are a few long tables for large parties. There is also a washing station before you go into the bathroom. However, they provide plenty of lemons to get that seafood smell off your hands: 4 Stars. Service was OK. After the waiter took our drink and app order, it took him a while to take our dinner order. In addition, we were not offered water (WTF is it about Azn places and H2O?!?!?!): 3 Stars. Meh....I was definitely not impressed with Claws. Since the popularity of Boiling Crab, there have been other restaurants that have come up with similar concepts of Cajun seafood boil. I feel like most of them are never as good as Boiling Crab, but most of them try very hard to at least try to be on par. However, I felt that Claws was lacking a lot compared to Boiling Crab. I came here on Labor Day around 7:30 PM for dinner and there was a wait of about 20 minutes. Labor Day this year was SOOOO hot, so I expected AC to be blasting in the restaurant. However, the AC was broken in the restaurant. I understand that this is not really the restaurant's fault, but it made the dinner experience less enjoyable when you are sweating into your food. I actually considered calling our waitress over just so that we can feel a breeze when she came by (I didn't since that would be mean...LOL). I also don't understand why there was a wait as parts of the restaurant was actually empty. I decided to go for one of the meals (the 4lb meal deal), which included 2 appetizers and choice of fries. I ordered the shrimp (which is $1 more per pound), calamari, onion rings, and garlic fries. The appetizers and fries came out first. I thought that onion ring and calamari was just average. There was nothing special about the dishes. The garlic fries were pretty amazing. The fries were crispy and the flavoring on the fries was delicious. The shrimp came out shortly after. I was VERY disappointed in the shrimp. I decided on the Cannon Ball (Claws' version of the whole shebang) and the sauce was very flavorless and watery. We thankfully ordered a side of Fire in the Hole sauce, so I ended up dipping the shrimp in the sauce just to get some flavoring. In addition to the food and lack of AC, it was also very hard to track down our waitress. I think she was very busy. She was very nice, but when the AC is not on and you want to leave, it was very frustrating when you are unable to find the waitress. O gosh it's that time of the year again yup...LENT. Somehow almost everyone I know ends up turning into a vegetarian when it's lent -__- I was craving boiling crab, but it's a Friday night and the line was waaaaaay out the door about 2.5 hours long just for a party of 2 and everyone knows THIS GIRL turns into ms. grumpy pants when hungry haha. Have heard great things about Claws so decided to give them a try. The wait was only about 45 mins which wasn't too bad. The restaurant is a lot smaller than boiling crab, you can opt for bar seating if you don't want to wait for a table. At the bar you still can order food off the menu. Just like Kick'n Crab, they have a nice big clean dual sink outside w/ paper towels so that you can wash your hands conveniently instead of having to go into the bathroom. The reason they lost a star is because they don't offer the option of ordering 1/2lb seafood here (boiling crab does). Also, boiling crab, wild crab, & kick'n crab lets you opt for no butter when having your sauce made (Claws doesn't). However, they do let you get sauce on the side which is what we did. 1lb clams - Basically it was just boiled, we got the cannonball seasoning (mix of all 3 flavors of cajun, garlic butter, and lemon pepper) at the spiciest level of "fire in the hole" For some reason the lb of clams here didn't seem like much. It was mostly just the shells when we were digging through..The clams did taste fresh though and were cooked perfect 1lb shrimp - Although the crawfish on the sign said there was live fresh crawfish available, I always stick w/ shrimp. Why? Because there's more meat! The shrimps were a decent size here, but again seemed like less than 1lb. I got the cannon ball seasoning medium spicy. Fried catfish w/ fries (upraded $2 extra for sweet potato) - The catfish was fried nice and crispy. Batter wasn't soggy/oily at all and it was a big catfish portion. The only downside is that I think there was too much cornmeal/batter, it was thick. Sweet potato fries WERE BOMB!!! Thick cut, soft inside and crunchy outside. Cajun Garlic Butter Fries - SOUNDS YUMMY HUH!? This was our custom order and I'm glad they were able to pull it off! I was craving both so why not right? I didn't know that they would put parmesan cheese on these fries, kind of wish they would let us know so I could say no cheese. There were plenty of fresh chopped garlic, but it didn't overpower the cajun seasoning :) It's a big portion and both of us couldn't finish it. Overall I liked the sauce here a little better than boiling crab. Fire in the hole was spicy, but not extremely spicy. What I also noticed is that instead of serving us the fries first, everything came at one time which could be a good or bad thing. For us, we kind of wanted to munch of appetizer/fries first before the shrimp & clams came out. Service was just ok, water was filled toward the end of the meal when we were already done rather than throughout the meal. Had a friend's birthday bash here, ordered a bunch of stuff and drinks. It is the kind of place, a place for a bday, get messy, get loud, and get stuffed. If this is the occasion, better walk carefully to the restroom, the floor here is extremely slippery. I will just review on the items what I was able to reach out. Garlic fries... I don't know why, who ordered it, it was just a cold nothing special at all fries = basket filler. Ship wreck - another basket of fried stuff, mostly rubbery big squid fries, 4 shrimps and 5 muscles. All were pretty hard and dry. Definitely frozen food... Not a fan of craw fish so I didn't even bother them. I didn't want that hard work to get not even a bite size meat out if the shell, sucking juice/salty sauce out of them is just the worst. Bacon wrapped shrimp was pretty good, what can you do wrong to make this dish not ok?! I ordered specifically steamed shrimp with nothing. It was the best dish I got that night beside my favorite Junmai sake bottle. But the shrimp was a bit over cooked. A Cajun comfort food restaurant with a cute little bar and lounge area, that's interesting, looks great for watching some sports, the pirates themed decor is so much fun. Liked how not so crowded the seatings were, unlike the other similiar places. Went there for an early dinner, didn't wait, got seated at a window booth, ordered a pitch of Sapporo to start. The meal menu looks nice, but both of us didn't want shrimp roll and Cajun fries, so we ordered off the regular menu. They didn't have Dungeness crab, that's what I was craving for, eh, crab legs will do I guess. But their menu is big, many entrees too, for ppl who doesn't like shellfish too much, the fish, meat and pasta are better choices for sure. Starters: Garlic fries: those were amazingly delicious, crispy, with strong garlic flavors, so comforting. Gumbo soup: it was a huge bowl, hubby liked it. Seafood (1lb each) : They have this mixed sauce with a little bit of all flavors, we decided to give it a try. Clams: big and tender clams, so delicious. Shrimps: they were OK, not tender enough to my liking. Snow crab legs: tender and meaty King crab legs: big, tender and meaty All seafood was so fresh, the mixed sauce was great, so flavorful. They gave me a scissor to crack open crab legs? It was imposssible to use, not to mention it was broken too! A very cute waitress managed to find me one of those crab cracker tool, now that's more like it! We liked the food a lot, but it was so heavy, too much garlic, glad we didn't have plans for the rest of the evening, I don't think I would be able to get out after a very comforting Cajun seafood meal. The service was very good, all the servers were very attentive and fast, great job. A fun themed restaurant with good food and service, with a bar and lounge, that's even better! Came here to see if it was better than Boiling Crab... Boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprised!! :) This place is awesome! We ordered the 3lb Meal Deal which included 3lbs of seafood and 2 appetizers for $40. Pretty good deal. We had 2 lbs of the unpeeled shrimp with 1 lb of mussels and an order of their garlic fries and chicken cajun rolls. Our appetizers came out first. The garlic fries were covered in garlic and freshly grated Parmesan cheese and came with a tangy mayo-based sauce. Pretty on point. Their chicken rolls were yummy also-- just enough spice and creaminess in the sauce and a nice crunch on the outside. Our shrimp and mussels came out a few minutes later and let me tell you.... Their shrimp is freakin jumboOoo! They're perfectly cooked and so easy to peel. The mussels were a nice size and perfectly cooked as well. In comparison to BC, their sauce was way more generously packed with garlic and less salty. The flavor was bomb.com and kept me dipping my shrimp heads back in to suck up more delicious sauce lol. Verdict: If you're cravin' seafood and don't wanna wait 10,000 hrs for BC, come through to this place! The portion sizes and flavors are on point. Next time I wanna try their coconut sea snails... I usually hate going to cajun seafood places. I don't mind the mess, but I dislike working for my food to be honest. I only go when I get dragged along, but for whatever reason last night cajun seafood sounded appetizing. Claws is low key, so you don't have to put up with the long wait times like you do at Boiling Crab. The service is also friendlier, even though we arrived an hour before they close. I hate doing that, but it was my fault for not checking what time they closed on Sundays. My girlfriend and I shared a 3 lbs seafood combo. She pointed out that they did peeled shrimp! FUCK YEAH. While waiting, I said, "Imagine if they peeled it AND deveined the shrimp for you. That would be amazing. I'd come here all the time, but they probably don't." WRONG! They do devein the shrimps in addition to peeling them for you! It costs $2 dollars more per pound of peeled shrimp, but if you're like me and hate peeling the shrimp and putting up with that weird black vein in your mouth (that sounds really inappropriate) from the shrimp, then it's totally worth every dollar. The shrimps were a pretty healthy size and the clams were big too. We ordered the cannonball sauce which is a mixture of all their flavors at the 2nd to last spice level, which was spicy. I love spicy, but my girlfriend was worried that it would be like Boiling Crab's intensity, but even at the end of our meal, there was only a slight tingle from the spice. Don't be afraid to get their spiciest which is Fire in the Hole. I didn't really like their butterfly shrimp. It's basically a shrimp that gets flattened out, breaded and fried. There are probably better appetizer options. The cajun sauce here is pretty good, but I like Boiling Crab's sauces better. It's a little salty for my taste and I love salty foods. Claws is a great alternative to the other major cajun seafood places, but I think I might only go to Claws now that I know that they do all the dirty work for me. read more

Their newly remodeled restaurant looks fantastic compared to their old set-up, and is much more spacious. Bloody Mary: tasty and you can choose which vodka you prefer. Shrimp: nice, big shrimp. Crawfish: my boyfriend enjoyed his crawfish. Ribeye: asked for medium rare, but was overcooked and a little tough to eat. Cajun Fries: decent fries, liked that they aren't super thin like Kickin Crab. Fried Ice Cream: a must try! Overall great spot to satisfy your cajun seafood cravings. Just left this place and my friends and I were pretty disappointed.. Our waitress was really rude. Every time we asked a question about the menu, she would answer back with some attitude in her tone of voice. My friend asked a question about refills on tea drinks and sodas and the waitress replied back saying she would have to charge her if she wanted to order a different type of drink or soda. Okay... We don't mind paying for different drinks, you don't have to give us attitude about a question. At least be nice about it. Not to mention, her voice was super annoying and very high pitched. We ordered a lot of food and appetizers and only the seafood came out. It took forever for our appetizers to come out, we had to ask two different employees to check on it. The crawfish was really fresh and perfectly seasoned. The garlic bread was really tasty and buttery. It came with 8 pieces of bread. I also ordered a chamoy beer with chili powder on the rims. It was pretty spicy and refreshing at the same time. I really like chamoy/Mexican candy so it made the beer very different. Even though the service was horrible and it took a while for our food to come out, another waiter helped us and service got a little better towards the end. This review updated is long over due! As I said in my previous review the food here is on point. Personally I think it's the best cajun seafood boil in town. Ingredients are fresh and sauce is perfect. CANNONBALL MEDIUM. That said, my previous poor review was completely based on repeated poor service, of which has improve tremendously over the years. Alot had changed since then. They moved to a larger location in the same plaza. Had a fire and closed down for a bit and completely rebuilt and reopened since. Pandemic and shut downs. They still have great food after all that, and service has been much better. One thing, the bill is getting larger and larger. But to be honest, that's everywhere you go these days and I'd rather you charge more and keep up the quality than to charge the same and drop the quality. So keep it up! I will continue to be a returning customer, over 10 years and counting! read more

Long overdue review. I used to go to Boiling Crab often, but once I had Claws I kept going back. They don't cheat you with the amount of pounds you get and they're affordable. Every time I come, service is good. You'll never catch my cup empty! read more

I do like that they have sinks outside of the restrooms to alleviate unnecessary traffic for those paying homage to the toilet gods, and for those too lazy/grubby to open the door and walk in. The food is equally tasty overall: Clams/Crawfish/Sausage: Nom nom nom nom YES! Pretty packed with sodium, but not as much as Boiling Crab. I absolutely love the sausages (TWSS ;p) And I'm pretty sure I killed most of those on my own. Together, we demolished over 4lbs of seafood YUM! Butterfly shrimp: This I can do without. Heavily breaded and unexciting. Save your appetite and arteries for the other goodies. Cajun fries: My weakness. Full to the brim, yet I kept munching on these babies. Can't go wrong with lightly seasoned fries.. Raw oyster: The oysters were very tasty and fresh, which actually surprised us as it was on par with some joints we ate at that were strictly known for their oysters/seafood. Though...technically so is Claws so I guess it all works out. This is a great substitute for Boiling Crab, and I really do wish I lived closer or I'd be coming way more often... read more

I never heard about this place until my brother-in-law told me about it. The hubs and I came here on a Friday evening and it was busy but we didn't have to wait for a table. The service is very attentive and our waitress was really nice and checked on us often. The decorations around the restaurant are very creative and fun! They have hand washing stations outside of the bathroom. Garlic Fries- so good! Crunchy, loaded with chopped garlic and shredded parm. If you don't like garlic breath, don't order this! They are super generous with the garlic and I love it! Oysters- big, sweet, and juicy! I think it was $9/half a dozen. Shrimp & Clams- got a pound of each with the Cannonball sauce, medium spicy. It wasn't that spicy and I might consider trying spicy next time around. The sauce is good and comparable to Boiling Crab. It seems a lot saltier to me though and they skimped out on the garlic. The shrimp and clams are big and I like not having to peel as much. Sometimes at BC the shrimp seems over cooked as it's powdery and soggy. There wasn't a single soggy shrimp here! We had leftover shrimp & clams and it was a second dinner for us the next day! The sauce is thicker than BC's and is great with pasta. Compared to BC, Claws has a more extensive menu, we didn't have to wait forever for a table, service was on point, and the prices are great for the quality and taste! Great Sides and Drinks Whenever we've been here it's always as a double date. We had four adults and 3 children(they only ate rice and fries). We ordered the 5lb family deal: 1.)5lbs of shrimp(3unpeeled and 2peeled) All were in the medium sauce. 2.) an order of the garlic fries(large for $1 extra). 3.) butterfly shrimp instead of the Cajun rolls 4.) calamari as the side Extra: 1.) rice 2.) baguette 3.) corn outside of the sauce 4.) peach and lychee iced tea The shrimp was great, the medium has a kick and with the spicy last time we were crying. I can handle my spice but the spicy was too spicy! This time we stuck with medium and it was perfect! ****if it's too spicy tell them and they'll add butter to it and it tames it down a lot! The peach tea was good but the lychee was even better. It was sweet so next time I may ask for 1/2 the sweetness. We drive all the way from Torrance whenever we're in the mood for shrimp because we love the choices they have and they're always consistent with their quality and taste.
