What a wonderful hidden gem in St. George! I would say this falls into one of my top 10 most memorable restaurants with a view and amazing food and ambiance. I was so pleased with the service. Reservations recommended.. especially for a window seat. Food is fairly priced and so delicious. We had the halibut, which was the special of the day, and the ribeye, which came with baby potatoe. Beautiful restaurant with an incredible view! Reservations recommended, we tried calling to make one but weren't able to get a reservation until 8:45pm when calling in the same day. We ordered the heirloom tomato toast and added fresh mozzarella. It was good but I wished the bread was on a heartier thicker piece of toast. All of the juices soaked up the bread and it wasn't very toasty at that point. The salmon was delish, with broccolini and coconut rice palif. My friend ordered the steak and it didn't have a ton of flavor but it was cooked well. Overall a good experience :) read more

Spectacular view, amazing customer service and yummy food was all we needed to make our drive so worth it all the way from California.. The restaurant is beautiful with a breathtaking view and the customer service was great..Everybody is so friendly and so helpful... The food was very fresh and delicious too. I reached out to the restaurant to let them know we were celebrating a birthday and they made sure to make it a special one... Our waitress, Maggie was so pleasant and didn't make us rush through our meal even though we got to the restaurant right at closing (literally at 3:00).... They are open for lunch till 3:00 and open back up for dinner at 5:00... We will definitely be back and I highly recommend you make reservations. read more

We just had to walk downstairs as we were staying at Inn On The Cliff. They accommodated time change. They were busy but took our beverage & pupu order very quickly. Nice selection of beer and wine. My husband had the trout and I had the 4 cheese & pear pasta in a divine sauce. Both were one of the best meals ever!! Lilikoi cheesecake was yummy. Wonderful find! We had been eating poorly in our travel week and this restaurant supplies such a variety of tasty healthy choices ( or not healthy). Their bread and dill butter was exceptional. Horrible heartbreaking experience. Had my wedding dinner here. Mean and rude manager, waiter announced to entire table that they would he refusing to serve our wedding party alcohol. My husband and I do not consume alcohol at all; however, after a very long day of filming our wedding at Zion national park, we arrived at this establishment for long standing dinner reservations. The horrid manager publicly accused my beloved groom of being intoxicated in addition without consulting either of us, who were paying for the entire party and had planned a fixed price menu, the waiter offered the entire party to order off the menu nearly tripling our bill. They absolutely ruined the long planned wedding dinner. In addition we had been at this hotel with several rooms reserved for days. The hotel staff was ok, the restaurant manager is overbearing and shameful in her treatment of guests. Hurt beyond words by this horrid woman. In addition the food is nothing to write home about mostly a heavy greasy mess. View from the motel six like rooms, ok if you like the constant noise and view of a highway. St George is not what it used to be and NO seasoned traveler accustomed to kindness and hospitality would enjoy this highly over rated rip off establishment. We came for the view, but will return for the food. My family was visiting St. George and wanted a special dinner-something a little more memorable than the usual fare. So we booked reservations and looked forward to our meal. Upon arrival, we were seated pretty quickly. The ambience is stellar-mood lighting (super interesting fixtures!) and every table has a view of the city below. Next time I might try to get a patio table-that looked even better. Outdoor seating is my favorite! The service was....ok. That would be my only complaint. We had to request drink refills-for a fine dining establishment, your drinks should never run out. I wonder if our server had more tables than usual-he seemed busy and disappeared for long periods of time. However, the food was impeccable. Truly. Every dish we ordered was great. We all ordered something different and tried them all. Even though the portion sizes were plenty, we ate every bite. The next day I'm still thinking of the food and how good it was. This was supposed to be a higher end restaurant in St. George and I cannot agree. The quality of the meat was terrible. The chicken and Fish was tough and dry. The flavor was decent but that doesn't do much when you can't chew it. The ambiance was okay but the restaurant could use some updating and the service was acceptable. I ordered Sockeye salmon and they served me Atlantic salmon. There's a big difference in color, texture and taste. Of course, I sent it back and got the trout instead. Since we were celebrating our anniversary we ordered our choice of the "free" desserts so we picked the crème brûlée but then they tried to charge us for it. Always have felt that the way to rank an establishment is to consider what it could be, and sometimes that means giving fewer stars for a local favorite, as it would stand in comparison to other places. Cliffside is generically attractive, as it has to do little more than capitalize on a phenomenal view. The furnishings and decor is mass-market and generic. Why not showcase local artists and craftspersons? Wine is served in low quality bar glassware. Beverages like iced tea come in Mason jars, yet the dining style aims for upscale as far as plating as prices go. Schizophrenic decor aside, there are other issues. The servers are amenable, but seem inexperienced and unpolished. Furthermore, during my visit still at the height of Covid19 concerns, most wore their masks incorrectly, only over mouth and not nose, and often slipped under the chins. It was discouraging and unsettling. The food is perfectly fine, though over-sauced. Why a delightful fresh trout needed to be both butter-braised AND have, inexplicably (out of season) cranberry compote on top, is beyond me. It laid on a bed of brocollini (tasty texture but, again, over sauced) and grains that were nearly indeterminate due to the amount of creamy sauce holding them together. Dessert was an unexceptional molten lava mini-cake. Tasted average, and presented unimaginatively with what tasted like store bought ice cream and flavorless berries. If it weren't for the view and the lack of quality dining, in general, in St George, we wouldn't have come here at all. As it was, it was unexceptional but okay. TL/dr: Not bad food, great view, unstellar service. read more
