The tonkatsu was very crispy, very generous portion sizes!!, and came with a dipping sauce. The curry sauce was a little strong but was good with the nuggets. The fries were yummy and were a hit with my toddler. My burger was surprisingly juicy and I really liked the flavorful pop of the wasabi mayo. All for $30? Great deal! And I still have leftovers for dinner. Service was quick too -- ordered online and the food was ready on time.

At least from my experiences here anyway. I have been here a few times. There are just days when I crave Chipotle. 3-4 days out of the year. And this location gets all my business since it is local to me. Their food is always consistent. Great portions (whether you order in person, via app, or via Uber/DD). I have read some horror stories of other locations where they reduced the portions by as much as half. This location is NOT one of those. The employees here are just okay. Not friendly or unfriendly. One time, one of the employees complimented my jewelry but that was pretty much the only off the script conversation I had with any of the staff here. During lunch, expect to see a bunch of Newport high school students dining here. It gets quite busy. The line moves pretty fast. I know they had some issues with slow lines during the beginning of pandemic. This is not the case anymore. I don't know when chipotle added this but Chimichurri is a game changer! Goes extremely well with burrito. Not sure how authentic it is or anything but I really liked it more than expected. It was free via Uber eats this month. Parking is available right in front and several businesses share the lot. It is convenient but it can get pretty full from time to time.

My friend got the mac and cheese bowl with chicken and cheddar cheese on top. The food came out within minutes, and the service was great, everyone was super kind. We were able to get water cups, and overall the place was pretty clean. There were a few tables that needed wiping down, but we were still able to find seating without any issues. I would definitely recommend eating the food right away, especially if you get a fries-based bowl, since the fries can get soggy quickly once they're covered in gravy. That said, everything was delicious. Overall, I had a really good experience at this KFC location and would definitely go back. Their gravy alone is worth it, it's honestly so good I could drink it.

On any given evening or brunch time, you'll see a large crowd. For that reason it's not a go-to of mine even though it's right in my 'hood... because when I'm hungry I wait for no man. But if anyone has senior citizen tendencies like me, I highly recommend dropping in for an early brunch (really a breakfast) or an early bird dinner, because this place is tops. I loved the breakfast bowl, which came with poached eggs, greens, avocado, and tomato... and if you're feeling frisky go ahead and order the salmon to put on top! It's a wonderful pile of healthy, delicious food, and a nice departure from the over the top fatty or sickly sweet brunch dishes that I've gotten used to by now. read more
