Despite using chicken breast, the chunks were surprisingly tender and didn't feel dry at all. The spicy, numbing flavor really came through, but I felt like the dish was severely under salted. I think just a little more salt would've elevated the flavor completely. Also this dish wasn't spicy at all to us even though we were forewarned that it was gonna be spicy. - Spicy Basil Chicken: this dish had a flavor profile that reminded me of Thai style Basil Chicken Stir Fry, but I thought the Thai stir fry version was far superior. The flavor wasn't bad though, and what really impressed me was the chicken. The slices were so soft and tender that I couldn't believe I was eating chicken. The texture almost reminded me of fish cake, it was that tender. However, I did think the dish was a little unbalanced, with the vegetables taking up a much larger portion of the dish than the chicken. And I did think that the bell peppers were undercooked. - The House Special Chow Mein was fantastic. The flavor was smoky, savory, and slightly sweet, creating a really nice combo of flavors. The noodles were also nice and chewy and had a great bounce to them. I loved all the different toppings that came with it too, and there was also Bok Choy mixed in for some vegetables. The portion was pretty generous as well. Overall, the service was amazing. The older couple, who I assume were the owners, seemed to do pretty much everything themselves. They took our order, brought out the food, and checked on us throughout the meal. They were very hospitable and nice. The ambience was just okay... The restaurant felt a little cramped and was somewhat dark. One thing I really didn't like, though, was that the kitchen was open and right next to the dining area. I felt like all the cooking smoke and smells were drifting directly into the dining area, which wasn't particularly pleasant while we were eating.

Inside the dish were also cooked bok choy, carrot , mushrooms , slices of water chestnut, green onion in a ginger flavor gravy . It tasted great with either rice or or brown rice . Really disappointing experience with Andy & Yu's…read more I ordered through DoorDash and two Fried Rice Combos totaling $39 were completely missing from my order. When I contacted the restaurant, Megan, who identified herself as the manager, blamed the Dasher rather than taking any ownership or helping resolve the problem. The Dasher, meanwhile, blamed the restaurant. As the customer, I have no way of knowing whether the restaurant failed to give the food to the Dasher or the Dasher failed to deliver it. And frankly, I shouldn't have to figure that out. What really bothered me was the response from Megan. If you're the manager and a customer calls because $39 worth of food from your restaurant is missing, I'd expect some effort to help resolve it--not simply "it's the Dasher's fault." I was ultimately told I could come pick up the food myself. That's not much of a solution when I specifically paid to have dinner delivered. DoorDash eventually refunded me $44.95, so this isn't about getting more money. It's about how the situation was handled. Mistakes happen. Two entrees getting lost somewhere between the restaurant and my front door is frustrating, but fixable. A manager immediately passing the blame and leaving the customer to sort it out is what turned a missing-food problem into a one-star experience.
