I'm giving it 1 star just for the hardworking guy running the place alone. Honestly just a bit absurd I'm not sure if there's someone working in the back but it doesn't seem like it. He's really great though and good customer service to make up for it , but this rating is more of a ding on the business itself. You've gotta hire an additional person to help out. Parking here is abysmal, I'd recommend not really wasting time looking for parking around the store and instead go towards the neighborhood. In particular there's a ParkMobile lot if you go straight down the road that goes to this Cafe on Emerald (refer to photo). It's only 2 blocks away and there's a paid lot so maybe you'll find parking. I also don't really appreciate all of these new places popping up (and old ones too) and the use of AI menus. It's pretty obvious and a bit tacky looking and looks uninspiring. The customers in front of me actually made a good point too as the menus all have the same numbers (1-5), so you can't refer to the menu number when going up cause there's multiples. Just another business thing I'm pointing out sorry. Aside from the business perspective, the service again was great and the guy running it alone is killing it. Definitely not easy to do alone. The presentation is great, the amount is meh. Drink is $15 and I guess you get half a mango. It is flavorful though, so if you like mango and coconut it's definitely worth trying! Other than the above comments, I give it 2 stars because 1 for the guy working hard and another for him still doing it with a smile on his face but other than that I waited around 30-35 minutes when there were only like 2 people in front of us.

All the stars are for the taste and the two owners that just started this place four weeks ago. It seems like they have a real passion for hosting and making good mango smoothies with coconut. I got three drinks the mango with coconut and mango slushy with jelly and one without jelly. Love the decor of the small space and they have open Mike karaoke for anyone that wants to walk in. It's a perfect spot for your late night PB visitors and it seems like a healthy choice with fresh mango and refreshing drinks. That said the star is lost because the price is pretty high. I don't think I've ever paid $11 for a smoothie drink before. I get it. It's the location and also using fresh ingredients. Again, I feel mixed because of the price range, but I also hope this place does succeed because the owners are kind.

Sweet Like Summer Coco-nut believe how good this is! Coconut Girl Cafe in Pacific Beach is serving up tropical dreams in every bite! From the creamy Halo Halo loaded with colorful goodness, to the dreamy Ube Cloud that's as pretty as it is delicious , and the irresistible Mango Sticky Rice bursting with sweet mango flavor -- this is one island-inspired stop you'll want to add to your PB adventures! Basically... good vibes, good chews, and a whole lotta coconut!

It's a coconut vacation paradise inside this quaint cafe. We waited quite a while for just one drink, and it was $15. It was quite hot inside as well with limited seating. This shop could use a few extra hands to help with the bustle of customers.

this place was a 10 out of 10. We ordered the mango sticky rice and the coconut mango ice cream was sticky rice and it was all so fresh. It literally tasted like I was on vacation. The coconut ice cream is so creamy and coconuty the service was great too cashier was super friendly and he told us a little bit about how the coconut ice cream is in house and homemade the mangos were also so fresh! would come back

Cute dessert shop with very friendly staff. Service was quick and deserts came out in less than 5 mins. We ordered the Mango Sticky Rice ($12) and Thai Halo Halo ($11). Prices are on the high side. The Mango Sticky Rice does not look like their advertised photo, and the portions are very small. The Thai Halo Halo was decently sized and needs to be eaten with a spoon. The cubed ice made it difficult to eat the jello fillings. I recommend they use crush ice instead. While I was not a fan of their small portion mango sticky rice and the ice cubes in the halo halo, I would return to try their other drinks.

Coconut Girl Cafe has established a new brick-and-mortar location on the main waterfront drag in PB. The suite used to house a local donut shop that had relocated from the Hillcrest neighborhood but did not last long at this address. The business was in a soft opening phase when I visited. A couple of high-top tables were placed out on the sidewalk while the inside was limited to one table and a countertop along the front windows. The menu was separated into three pages with one each for desserts, drinks, and savory offerings. There were only three savory choices so I picked the Khao Soi to pair with my drink which was a Coconut Mango Slushy. The Khao Soi was a Northern Thai soup made up of chicken broth, coconut curry, crispy egg noodles, cilantro, onions, pickled cabbage, and a lime wedge. The item was very flavorful and was even discounted two dollars on weekends. The issue was that the portion size was small as it was served in a very shallow dish. The slushy consisted of creamy coconut milk blended with mango jelly and half of a fresh mango. The taste was fruity and refreshing although the $10.99 price was on the high side. Nearby parking was not easy to find so I hope Coconut Girl Cafe can rely on the beach foot traffic to develop and sustain a customer base. I gave a four star rating for my initial experience.

The Coconut Girl Cafe has landed in Pacific Beach, San Diego with a host of delicious beverages and tasty eats! I had Thai Iced Tea of course. The best thing I liked about it was that it was not overly sweet. It offered great flavor and was very refreshing. The spice flavor was mild and the tea flavor perfect. In addition to the Thai Milk Tea, they also offer Ube Taro Milk Tea and a Matcha Green Tea Milk Tea. I was present when they were making a Mango Coconut Slushy with a large fresh slice of mango, and wow, did that thing look amazing. I look forward to trying the Thai BBQ on a stick and the shaved ice. The hospitality was super swell. They are very nice here and offer great service as well. There are a few tables available outside and some window seats on the inside. They are in a soft opening phase right now. Check their hours because they may change over time as they get things going. Street parking and paid parking lots are available.

We ordered their Thai halo halo and coconut mango sago. The business is owned by a kind couple. The husband helped us decide on the tastiest drinks. Customers are just as kind. The drinks are not too sweet. My coconut mango sago was perfectly balanced with sweetness, creaminess, fruity freshness and saltiness. It's a great place to stop by to give visitors a taste of the local vibe. The genius behind all the recipes came out to chat a little bit too. Her smile is as bright as the icon's smile.

Prompt service. Ordered the Thai Halo Halo. The drink is delicious & on the sweet side. My takeaway would be that maybe adding shaved iced to the drink. Other than that, I liked the drink alot. Will be coming back to try the mango sticky rice next.

I tried the Coconut Sago drink and the Thai Tea, and both were delicious! The Coconut Sago drink came with ube sago and mango jelly, and I loved that it wasn't overly sweet. The Thai Tea was also well-balanced--not too strong and not too sweet. The staff/owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I'll definitely be back to try more items from the menu. I overheard another customer raving about the mango sticky rice, so that's next on my list!

This is a must do while visiting! My daughter asked me to stop in and grab her the vegan dessert, I ordered 2! We had sooo much fun eating it! So yummy and fresh. The gentleman working was a gem, giving everyone in the place free samples of fruit and mango ice cream. He also offered his karaoke machine to keep us busy while we waited. It wasn't a long wait and it flew by even faster because of all of us getting along so well.

    Joana M.

Very friendly and welcoming owner! I came here shortly after they opened, and I still think about their delicious coconut mango sticky rice dessert. It was absolutely amazing, and I can't wait to come back!
