Picking up a birthday cake for my sweet angel! I like their cakes mainly because they are always available last minute. I took off a star because one of the cakes on their website- a coffee/caramel concoction- was not available at this store. I asked and none of the employees knew what I was talking about. I think they should all be knowledgeable about what items are being touted on the company website. But the overall experience here is always positive. There is a Yelp check in special on one of their ice cream cups. It really just depends on who you get scooping the ice cream. Sometimes they are friendly, sometimes not. Sometimes generous, sometimes measured. I still can't get over the coupon policy of printing them out to redeem them. Kind of defeats the purpose, no? So I ordered a "Frozen" cake.. Said it would serve 8-10 people. I provided my own cake toppers and paid an extra $5 for a "themed" cake. The cake itself tasted fine. Wasn't extraordinarily awesome, but the cake costed me $50. $50 for a regular sized round cake and the way it was decorated was terrible. There might've been one decently placed snowflake. Honestly, I'm really really disappointed in our experience at coldstone today. First thing, we weren't even greeted when we walked in the door. As a former employee of coldstone I know this is not acceptable and on top of that, Amber, the employee helping us started off rude right from the get go. Instead of saying "Hi, how can I help you guys," she said "what can I get you". She then made my cousin feel like a burden for asking for a different flavor of ice cream in her signature creation instead of the original one. I used to work at a Coldstone. What happened to customer service? And on top of it all my "Like it" size ice cream, which is already small, was less than full and still over 5$. I went into Coldstone on a Tuesday afternoon around 3:30pm. There was one girl working all by herself and there were several people in line. I have been recently diagnosed with gluten intolerance and eating out is difficult and a bit scary because people really do not understand how serious just eating off a spoon that has sat on a counter that has had a piece of bread on it could be. I waited several minutes until it was my turn in line. Since being diagnosed I am very aware that I am now one of "those" people. The high maintenance customers that people hate so I try not to be too much of a pain in the butt. I saw that they just put the scoops into a running thing of water and was a little scared, but she was super busy and didn't want to ask her to go and wash them. I was just hoping that I wouldn't get sick. I politely asked her for a Strawberry Mango Sorbet but asked if she could just put the sorbet directly into the bowl and not put it on the marble slab. She immediately asked me if I had a food allergy and I told her yes. She told me to hold on so that she could go and wash the ice cream scoops. I was SO relieved that I didn't even have to ask her and didn't have to be afraid of cross contamination from one of the non-gluten free ice creams. This girl, who turned out to be a manager, went above and beyond to make me feel like I wasn't a pain in the ass customer and showed that she had the knowledge to keep her customers from getting sick. I was wary about visiting a scoop shop as I had been warned about the cross contamination risks there, but after being helped by Catherine and seeing how knowledgeable she was, I will definitely be making this Coldstone a regular place for me. read more

I had a gift card to burn at Cold Stone Creamery and in all honesty would not have gone here if I hadn't had one. I am not a big fan of having my ice cream half melted by the time it is served to me, which seems like the usual case when you get ice cream from here. Their signature creations are limited and to me are too sweet and can be overkill. For example, their Peanut Buttercup perfection has chocolate ice cream, peanut butter, fudge and Reese's peanut butter cups in it. Ughh! I have had this before and it was sickening sweet and made me feel sick afterwards. If you decide create your own "creation," with multiple mix-ins, then it will cost you an arm and a leg to do so. The only signature creation that I kinda like is their strawberry banana rendezvous, but I replace the white chocolate chips with raspberries instead. Crap! I still have a $5 balance on my gift card. I guess I am going to have to make one more trip to this place, hopefully there will not be any screaming, bratty kids in line the next time I go. read more

This used to be a regular spot for me to go but with how poor it's been I would rather travel farther than go here. The last few times I've come I ordered a coffee lovers only in the large (gotta have it) size. Being that it's a larger size I would think that there would be a second scoop of toppings to go on since it's a larger ratio. The person infront of me got a small of whatever they ordered and got just as big a scoop of toppings so it doesn't seem right. Bigger size, more scoops? I don't know and they never seem to put enough ice cream they never fill the cup and end up just topping it off with more ice cream but no almonds or Heath crunches.
