While your waiting, they always have a game on and a new copy of the weekly digg on the shelf at the door. On a few occasions they have hooked us up with a pizza for the cost of a few slices. So i've ordered take out from multiple pizza and burger joints in Boston, and have subsequently decided that most of them aren't really worth my time. Being house-bound due to an injury, I took a look on GrubHub and found College Pizza. Encouraged by the above average reviews, I decided to try this place out. I got their steak tip salad for dinner, as well as a small mushroom pizza and a chicken fajita roll so I had food for the next few meals. My verdict? Everything was surprisingly delicious. Steak TIp Salad was enormous, and had juicy, tender pieces of marinated steak that was cooked just right. Mushroom pizza, while a little disappointing in terms of using canned mushrooms instead of fresh, did have a really buttery crust that I enjoyed; I usually hate pizza crust and don't eat them, but not for this one! Finally, the chicken fajita roll up was good for both a lunch and dinner - it's enormous, and clearly enough for a meal for two. In a nutshell? I am really pleasantly surprised by this place. The prices are decent, the food arrived quickly, the portions are huge allowing a person to have them for more than one meal (or simply share), and most importantly, it was delicious. Ordered off foodler and after 40 minutes past my delivery time, I had received nothing from the restaurant. They did not answer my initial calls, but finally at 50 minutes past the owner answered. He (rudely) gave me the excuse that his driver had been in an accident in the morning so he just opened the store, and told me I could wait 45 minutes or cancel my order. It's clear he wanted me to cancel. The story would have been believable if this restaurant didn't already have multiple one star reviews for this exact same issue. Don't order from this place. Great place to grab a quick slice--veggie pizza is my fave, jam packed with veggies without being soggy. definitely my favorite pizza in the fenway area no doubt. Staff is friendly and fast. Finding a good pizza place is the single most important task ahead of you in a new apartment, and i dearly wanted College Pizza to be it. More so after finding that they had a flag of a Turkish soccer team hanging, which is cool and obscure (the owner is a Fenerbahçe fan). I give them 4 stars because they make the best calzones in town. My bf is a pizza guy, though, and doesn't think much of their actual pizza. They're right around the corner from us and if I were a rich gal (and one with hyperactive metabolism) I would get a calzone for at least half of my meals. Not to mention that they're so big that they keep for another whole meal (college student's dream), and they reheat nicely when you do it in the oven. Then I called the restaurant and was told my order was around 8 minutes away, I waited over 10 minutes, called again only to be told that me order was cancelled because somehow I was rude earlier.
