First of all let me say that this is a Family Owned and ran business which I love. They used to be in Smyrna under a different name and my family ate there for years! I heard they only left bc the rent on the building they were in kept going up. I was totally excited when they reopened and told all my friends and family that they were back in business! The best thing about this place is that you feel like family when your there. The manager is such a sweetheart and he is always asking how we like our meal, is everything good, etc. The Milk Shakes here are absolutely the best! I love that they have 21 different flavors from Peanut Butter, Cherry, Nutella, to the classics. They also have amazing desserts. Their cakes are right up there with some of the best bakeries I've been too. So stop here even if you don't want dinner, but are hankering for something sweet. The have a large menu with all sorts of foods. They have the usual burgers, Chicken Fingers and awesome Footlong Chili dogs. But they also have great Greek Dishes also. The Gyros are good, the Greek Potatoes are fabulous, and their greek salads are delish! Then they have Southern cooking also with different daily specials. My friends and I went today and one of them ordered the Country Fried Steak with Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes and she loved it all. But she said that the Green Beans were especially good. My other friend had the Friend Chicken with the Green beans and Mac N `Cheese and this was his first time there. He said he loved it and will deff be back. I have always enjoyed meals at this establishment and so when I decided to have a large party catered, I decided to try Nick, John, Helen and the folks at "Come -N- Get It". I expected the food to be good....but OMG.... this was crazy good. We had smoked brisket, pork and chicken the likes of which I have never had anything so good....even in the best smokehouse restaurants and BBQ establishments I've been to (and trust me, I've been to BBQ places from one end of this country to the other and everywhere in between). The brisket was melt in your mouth tender and the chicken was so juicy, it was incredible. The sides included slaw, baked beans, and the best mac and cheese EVER. Banana pudding completed the meal and people were making pigs of themselves by the time they got to it! haha....it was soooo good. I rarely give raving reviews like this but it is deserved!!!! My guests kept going back for more and everyone wanted to know who catered. It made my party a HUGE SUCCESS. Seriously, seriously outstanding. I can't say enough praise for this experience and this restaurant. I will absolutely be calling on them again for more BBQ catered events. OH.....and as the president of a nonprofit organization that feeds officers on duty Thanksgiving day, we also use these folks to provide those meals and the officers love it. Saturday June 8. 2013 was my first and last visit to this establishment. While the combination cashier/server was very friendly and polite, the food that I ordered was simply not fit for human consumption. I can only guess how they managed to get hamburger meat so horribly tough and overdone to being almost burned. It tasted as if it had been frozen, cooked days ago, soaked in a horrible brine marinade and then reheated in a microwave. The collard greens were bitter,canned and extremely salty. I also ordered potato salad and cornbread which were passable, but I did not pay almost nine dollars to eat only potato salad and cornbread. I went to the counter and complained to the server (who was standing next to one of the older gentlemen who run this restaurant) and complained about this food. They offered no refund, no coupon, no free return visit, or even so much as an apology. The cashier insisted that all their food was fresh which is so not true. I did not want to say anything else so I left the building in disgust. p.s. They may have acceptable breakfast items, but I did not go there to eat biscuits and bacon. read more

My first trip there was a memorable one. There are certain criteria that any good Southerner knows must be met if a return trip is worth the effort to any restaurant south of the Mason-Dixon Line: the tea must taste like tea; the corn bread must not contain sugar to the point that it should be in the dessert case, and the frying chicken lives is a fine art. Come-N-Get-It scored the highest rating in all three vital areas. The tea was rich and dark. The corn bread, while it could have been a bit warmer, was mighty fine and enhanced by dunking in the pot likker in which the turnip greens swam. The chicken livers were cooked the perfection, crispy on the outside and moist and succulent on the inside. I look forward to sampling many items on this little gem of a dining establishment and am already anticipating the carry-out desserts that left with us. read more

Ever read reviews and think, wait, are we talking about the same place? Maybe I've been lucky, but we've eaten here more times than I can count and have never had a bad meal here. NEVER. I'm a sucker for Southern meat-and-veg places, but am usually let down. This place does it how it's supposed to be done. Chicken livers, country-fried steak and chicken-fried chicken are my favorite meats, and the spinach--good lord, the spinach. Tonight we tried the smoked brisket, and it is, without doubt, the best I've ever had--we had to get an order to bring home. I keep meaning to try the Greek menu, but the Southern boy in me wins out every time. Nick and his staff are genuinely warm and personable, which makes coming here even more of a pleasure. read more

Finally a decent breakfast place with a down-home feel. I am very surprised by the number of negative reviews here. I have only eaten breakfast here, but every time I have gone I have been pleased, and I am a pretty picky person. I think the all-you-can eat breakfast platter is a great deal, and the food is tasty. The homemade biscuits are incredible! Only downer was that sometimes my wife has ordered an omelet that is a little on the greasy side, but I think it depends on that day's cook. All in all, this place has been good to us; I'd certainly rather spend money here than at overpriced I-Hop or hideous Waffle House. read more

Outstanding customer service-great, every-day food offers, and at a reasonable price. Never experienced such friendly, one-on-one service from a simple, hometown restaurant in comparison to the five star, fine cuisine establishment approach. Great family values, fun atmosphere with minimal glitz. If you would want to take kids to a place where they're enjoying the food, and not embarrassed to be seen with their parents...then this is a place to go! Wow! I have passed by this place many years now and they always have a crowded parking lot so I decided to stop in. First, the owner of this gem is the nicest man you'll ever meet. Second, the service was amazing and the food came out faster than many fast food restaurants. THIRD and most importantly the food, I got the Chicken Fried Chicken and it was the best thing I have ever had. It was perfectly cooked and took up most of the plate. The portion sizes here are huge. Having driven past this place on my way home from work, we decided to go as a family. What a wonderful surprise! The food was plentiful and delicious (OK, what's a higher grade that delicious). We all left full! The atmosphere was homey and very casual. We were quite comfortable with the decor and were impressed that the owner's cared enough to share their faith values with their patrons. I eat breakfast here regularly with my kids, and we love it. The food is good, the workers make us feel right at home, and they get our order right. One time there was a mix-up on a order (which was partly our fault), but they promptly and apologetically fixed it. Haven't been there for any meal but breakfast, but I love the $6.99 all-you-can-eat plate. It includes pancakes, bacon, sausage, grits, hasbrowns, eggs, and a biscuit. Loved the food, with so many choices we will have to go back. I was just passing through and decided to try it and I have to say it was better than I was expecting. This is a wonderful eatery with owners who treat you like family. As I read other reviews on this site, I'm struck that people don't understand the concept of a down home family diner. Good southern cooking, no frills tableware, large portions. Anyone who doesn't like the concept should go sulk at an over rated sushi bar or fusion restaurant. Amazing food!!!!! I have never had anything I didn't like. The vegetable and meat plates are wonderful and I love the breakfast menu. The staff is so friendly. I have visited this restaurant a few times. This is a simple, casual, clean restaurant. The food is home-cooked and VERY good (a tad salty, but good) which makes it well worth the price.
