Southern Fried Chicken w/ collards, sweet potato casserole, and cornbread
    Arielle M.

Before going out we stopped here for some southern comfort food. The place is large, plenty of seating. Your order at the counter and the food is brought to the table. The cashier was such a pleasant woman. Great energy. I did not indulge in meat today. I opted for the 4-side platter and had double collards, black eyed peas, and sweet potato casserole. My boyfriend and his mom had fried chicken which they enjoyed. When we ordered we had to specify to have the chicken made fresh. They usually have them pre-made and sitting until ordered, which dries out the chicken. My collards and black eyed peas were very good. The sweet potatoes were barely luke warm. My boyfriend also had the same problem with his sides. We may come back again if we knew we were getting freshly prepared food.

Nice little cozy place that serves country comfort food like it's from mama's kitchen. Everything was delicious and flavorful.

This is a great little place for breakfast. I went in on Friday March 15, 2024 at about 11:15am for some late breakfast (they serve breakfast all day). It's a walk up counter to order. I had one of the "mamas specials" of eggs, bacon, cheese grits and biscuit. The eggs over medium were perfect, the bacon was good and cheese grits were perfectly thick. The biscuit was fresh and excellent. Great atmosphere with plenty of sitting room and parking. Very convenient location. All staff were polite and professional.

Dined in for lunch. It was pretty good. What you would expect of an old school diner. The employees were super nice and friendly. My son ordered a pancake, hasbrowns and bacon. They brought him a container of Mr Butterworth's syrup. Brought back memories of my childhood. :). I had the Gyro plate. The gyro meat had a great flavor. The tzatziki sauce was tasty. The only draw back was the onions. They were super hot and intense. I love fresh onions, but they were too much for me. It was busy Friday lunch, but the food was coming out of the kitchen quickly. The decor of the restaurant was very welcoming.

First time visit and I will be back. The food is on point for Southern cuisine. The livers were very tender and the sweet potato casserole had apples in it. Delicious! Meat loaf was also good but the creamed corn was the bomb. Menu has many choices and breakfast is served all day. Restaurant was simple and clean staff very attentive and friendly.

I have passed this restaurant for about six years and finally stopped in. This restaurant is very quaint and has lots of seating, although there were dew patrons here when I visited. Upon arrival, you need to go to the cashier to place your order just like a fast food restaurant. They served breakfast all day as well as lunch and dinner. I ordered an omelet as that is my standard breakfast order and how I judge breakfast establishments. The omelet arrived in what looked like a paper plate, but it was actually a normal replica plate. The omelet was larger than I expected and quite good. Overall I enjoyed the experience, and I intend to come back.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Krista immediately (who also turned out to be the bartender who made fabulous Margueritas) with a smile and an offer as to our table preference. We chose a booth and so glad we did. The booths are beautiful wood, high backs, comfy space and seating. We had the feeling of being in our own little world while also appreciating the friendly, open, clean, comfortable space of the restaurant as a whole. We loved the open kitchen and a view of everyone working to bring us our drinks and food at a perfect pace to relax, chat, eat and enjoy. Our waiter, Zach, had great timing throughout our meal. It was fun to watch him at a bigger table near us with adults and children having a celebration. He seemed to be enjoying them as much as they him. When my sons were young, waiters that included them personally in the experience meant a lot to me rather than talking over them or not addressing them. He was just as personable with us and it was sincere. He also was so helpful with our questions about the menu. We had never had bison before and Zach was detailed in his description, making that a clear choice for our meat. I had a bison filet and my husband a bison burger. Zach also detailed the different Margueritas when we asked and we each ordered and got exactly as he described it. We are going back and flipping our drink order because we liked them both so much. Shout out to Krista for a perfect, IMO, salted rim!The manager, Samantha also came by to talk to us and make sure we had a good experience. I had seen her in the kitchen as well, so I was impressed that she was a "roll up her sleeves and get in there" manager. Having had restaurant experience from the bottom to management myself light years ago I really appreciated that. She was delightful to talk to, sincerely interested in us as people as well as customers. Great sense of humor.Because we had such a great experience, we are going back there again this weekend. I obviously think anyone reading this should make plans to visit this restaurant in Kennesaw soon.I was able to express my compliments to the cook on our way out easily with the open kitchen design. It was a pleasure to let him know how incredible everything we ordered was. His warm smile was a lovely way to end a perfect evening.

I've never been to the any Ted's location but I read in the East Cobber magazine that they have the best burger in the area. Somebody lied. I hate being served cold food that is supposed to be hot. I like my hot food served hot. They put nothing on my burger--no ketchup, no mayo, and no mustard. I also had to dress it myself. I followed all of their instructions and was served my food like either it was trash or I was trash. I expected a much better experience. I ordered on their website. I hate paying new money for old food. Do better.

Saturday night we decided to give it a try. Logged in and there was a 20-30 minute wait. It's about 15 minutes away so we put our names in and headed out. At the hostess desk the couple in front of us was told the wait was 45-50 minutes. At my turn I told her we were on the wait list. She checked, and we were seated within 5 minutes!. (They have " hand cut" steaks. Before taking us to our table I was able to select my steak from their case. ) This place is loud. It's a roadhouse, so I suppose the noise goes with that atmosphere. Loud music, and loud people, plus the wait staff sing and do line dancing occasionally, which is just weird. The food was good. They brought out rolls that were great. We had an order of Rattlesnake bites for appetizers. (Jalapeño, no rattlesnakes were involved.) My steak was a little over the rare I ordered, but edible. I ordered chili as a side which was delicious. My second side was a baked sweet potato, which came with brown sugar and cinnamon. (That wasn't listed on the menu and I don't do cinnamon so had to ask for a replacement. - My bad.) My wife had the "Roadkill" chopped steak. She said it was tasty, but a little greasy. All in all an ok experience. The meal total was less than the steakhouse we usually eat at. The noise level was the biggest negative!

First off, I love the history of this building... 1800s, supposedly the jail at some point long ago. You can just feel the history and imagine what took place in there as you sit and wait for your meal. The staff are all fun and attentive, and our server -- who was also tending bar that day -- was amazing! We were there early enough for the half priced apps, and weren't hungry enough for a full meal. I ordered a side salad with ranch, and we split the smoked nachos. When they came out, it was a huge portion and enough for both my wife and I. The only drawback is that they didn't have any sour cream that we could add to the nachos... It may seem trivial, but I've never needed anyplace that didn't have sour cream for the nachos. Because of that, I will give this a 4.75 stars. We will definitely be back!

I've eaten Mexican food for 50 years and this was the worst I've ever had (not kidding). The enchilada was cheese and there was plenty but it was about as dry as it could be. A little sauce would have definitely helped. The server was very attentive on the front end. When we were done, I had to flag the manager for our checks. He got right on it but 10 minutes later we were still sitting there, waiting to pay. I had to flag the manager down again. This was unacceptable. Even with 3 stars, I would never eat here again.
