Their quote came in the lowest and Brandon was extremely helpful on the phone, so I ended up choosing them. - The quote process was great: I submitted their online form, they gave me a call asking for more details, I sent them a few pictures, and they gave me another call with solutions and a quote. The quote also happened to be the cheapest of the 3 companies I got bids from. - The installation went very smoothly. I understand that direct vent water heaters are a little tricky to install, but Brandon installed perfectly. He arrived on time, got rid of our old water heater, and added a new water heater with several fixes: the overflow pipe now runs to the sink, he used a "flex vent" kit so the water heater can sit on the ground, and he put the water heater in a tray to reduce issues from slow leaks since I don't have a basement drain. - After the install, Brandon taught me how to change the temp / turn the water heater off / how to flush it / how to change the anode rod. Very pleased with the work and my new water heater is working flawlessly. The only downside was that there was no permit. I'm no expert on permits. Portland's website says that water heater changes require a permit. Brandon said it's a "gray area" for residential. I am not planning on selling the house and things looked good to me, so I don't mind too much.

I called them about 2 years ago to clear a…read moreclogged pipe and install a new toilet and had a very satisfying experience (see my previous review), so when we had yet another clog, I called them again. Our plumbing tech, Drew Smith, cleared the clog but found that the sewer line was deteriorating. He conferred with his manager at length to determine the best options available for me. We decided to do the least invasive fix, one that would avoid having to tear up my basement, ( which we use as additional living space), to get to the pipe. Expensive? Yes, but it's the sewer pipe folks - not something we can do without. Henco staff worked with me on the financing and I approved an epoxy coating for the existing pipe. Scott Printz Phil Skaggs, (the expert installers), came out and dug up the back yard to expose the pipe, descaled it and ran the camera to prep for the epoxy. No can do - pipe is in such bad shape that epoxy would be a very expensive, useless option. They immediately notified Henco management & Drew. Drew came back out on Monday with possible options. He'd shared ALL the info & videos provided by Scott & Phil with management, as well as my concerns about cost. It's now Thursday and Scott & Phil are back to insert a special liner (actually a pipe within the existing pipe) that will, to all intents & purposes replace the old pipe without having to dig up my basement & pierce the foundation. This is still an expensive option, but considerably less money than tearing up the basement. Bottom line, these folks have been personable, efficient, and have produced the results they promised. We've had the fortune of Da Vinci's service a few times now. Once in an emergency when our pipes…read morefroze over, Kenney came over really quickly even when weather conditions made it pretty tough to get around the city. A while later, we had him install some outdoor spigots for irrigation for our garden that required punching into our drywall in the basement. They made sure the new lines had accessible shut off valves and even set it up in a way that made it easy to tuck away behind a cabinet door when the drywall was put back up. And they even found and fixed a bathroom exhaust fan venting when they were in there. Nice and clean! Also, they managed to install the spigots quickly and left the rooms just as clean as they were before work began once done. We've been using these for the a season and a half of gardening now, and they're working great. Lastly, we were having some trouble with a valve and they came over and fixed it in a minute (probably should have been able to figure out that one myself...) at no charge. He calmed our fears that it wasn't urgent but the old sink and plumbing needed replacing. It was easy to get scheduled. Anton and his son did a beautiful job putting in a new wash basin (double sink) and replacing all of the plumbing in a much tidier way than the original. They demolished the very heavy old sink and hauled that away for us, snaked the drain and put in proper plumbing/drain for the washing machine (it was just dumping into the old sink. These guys are extremely pleasant to have working in your home, very professional and kind. I'm so grateful we had them do this work. Ante's communication was top-notch - he answered my call for service immediately, scheduled me within two days, provided a detailed and accurate service estimate, was always available by phone/text, and arrived in a timely manner with his son on the job. He walked me through his plan initially and brought me down throughout the process to explain his progress and what the next steps were. I was impressed that during his troubleshooting, all of his predictions about the sources of issues were correct. He was friendly, engaging, and trustworthy.
