Deceptive Dealership!!!! I attempted to purchase a new Honda Accord 2012 at this dealership. The price they had advertised on their website was $3, 000 less than what they offered at the actual dealership. They told me the website was not accurate and the price was being fixed while we were speaking. However, they could offer a slightly discounted price for their mistake, $2,000 more than the advertised price. I passed on the car and looked back at the website days later and the price was still "inaccurately" advertised. read more

Unfortunately my recent experience with Concord Honda leaves something to be desired. I have been very loyal to Honda and this dealership for over 10 years. I have purchased 5 new cars from them over this period and used them for servicing. I came back here because I had always received good customer service, but my most recent visit was not great. They really seemed like they were doing me a favor to show me cars, deal with my trade in, and allow me to purchase a car. They were slow and seemed bored with the whole process. They made no mention of the fact I had purchased 4 cars there previously (the people I dealt with had no clue about this, but they should have a way to be prepared and check for this info ahead of time). The price for the new car was fine, no issue there, and really the trade in value was ok too. It wasn't a pricing issue, or a car quality issue, totally a customer service issue. While we waited for the paperwork, we sat alone...no "can I get you anything'...no "thank you for being a loyal customer"..."how are the other cars doing" , etc. Nothing. Really nothing that would compel me to come back here again. Nothing that would make me recommend them to anyone else. Next time I will shop around more and choose a dealer that really wants my business. I am disappointed as I used to really like this place. read more

This review is about their Service department. The service overall is bad. They got the job done. They price reasonable for a dealership's Service department. However, the wait time is awful. And, I was the one calling THEM for status updates. I left my car overnight for next day repair. I.e. They had the car since 7:00AM just to replace a tire. They didn't start until 1:00PM. How can that be if I was technically the first person(s) in line to be serviced?! Then, when I called at 3:00PM to check if the car was done, Bryan told me that I also needed my brakes replaced. He should have told me sooner! (Apparently, Bryan takes 2 hr. lunch breaks.) So, when it was all said and done, I didn't get my car back until 5:00PM! I lost my whole day using Concord Honda. Honda of El Cerrito would have been done in 1/2 the time and actually would have called ME with status updates. Concord Honda just wasn't putting in much effort. Well what can I say? First off I should have read the rest of the reviews before I stepped foot on this lot but I didn't. I am a frequent user of yelp but have never posted here before. This is my first new car so this is all new to me. I have been trying to decide on a civic or a corolla and have test driven them both a few times. Test driving was not a problem at all, I actually liked test driving with concord honda because they just gave me the keys and I was out on my own learning about the car instead of the salesmen driving and talking with me the whole time. I finally made my decision and wanted to purchase a civic exl. The problem with this was that this dealership didn't have right car I wanted. I was told I could"order" the car and it would be about 2-3 months before I would get it. I thought it was too long so I went to look elsewhere. I was called the next day by concord honda saying they could get me what I wanted in 3 weeks. I agreed and went back to the dealership and put $1000 deposit so they could order me the car. A few days go by and Chris the internet salesman keeps in contact saying he will keep an eye out for what is called a "dealer trade" which means if a different dealership gets a car you want then concord honda trades the other dealership for the car with a car off of their own lot. I thought ok cool so maybe I will get my car sooner because the car could be at a different dealership since all of the dealerships get new cars every week. About a week goes by now and chris keeps in constant contact saying he is looking everyday for my car at other dealerships saying he is very confident that the car will be here before my ordered car comes in. I started to get a little worried thinking to myself that maybe they are just in hopes to get the car I want without ordering it but didn't say anything. I asked for an eta when my car will be here and he said he wasn't sure since only the general manager can order the cars and they do it twice a month. Into the 2nd week I called the dealership and asked for the general manager mike but the person that answers the phone says ehhhh well he usually comes in around 11:00 ish or usually whenever he wants. So I said I would try back around 11. I called again at around 1pm and got through to his voicemail. I figured he was most likely busy so I left a voicemail asking about my car and a possible eta of when it will be ordered since the gm is the only person that can order cars. The entire day goes by with no call back from mike at all The next day around 10 or so I get a call from Ali the internet director and introduced himself and asked what I wanted. I thought this was strange since I called the gm mike not Ali. Well I told him the story and asked him when my car will be ordered and he said he would give me a call back on a Friday and let me know. Friday comes and goes and no call I was busy over the weekend and called back on Monday now into the 3rd week and was told Ali would not be in until Wednesday. I wait until Wednesday and call Ali again to get an eta. Surprise surprise no answer so I leave another voicemail. I get a call back on Thursday by Chris saying it's his day off but he was calling to tell me that Ali was busy why in the hell is Chris now calling me when I wanted to speak to the gm first but then the internet director calls so I think I can speak with him but now the guy I have been dealing with that knows absolutely nothing calls me back This is now the 2nd time a different person called me back when I called a particular person 1st. Chris tells me that he would return Friday and defiantly give me an eta. Friday comes and goes and of course no call back. It's now Saturday so I call and ask what's going on. Chris said he didn't have an eta so I just called the entire thing off picked up my check and cancelled the entire deal. So I have wasted 3 weeks of my time and have nothing at all. I went through my credit union and used a service they had which is auto direct. Auto direct finds the car you want and works out the price for you and gets you the car. They found the car in southern ca and are shipping to me later next week. Concord honda is the worst dealership that I have been to and the workers there are pretty awful. Nobody wants to help you after you give them money. Each person there puts stuff off to a different person. I never received a call from the gm at all. What terrible customer service which is why they are rated 2 and a half stars on yelp and an F on BBB. Look elsewhere for a dealership because like many others I had an awful experience with them. I brought in my Civic for an oil change, new air vents and a tire rotation. I had no appointment and originally Kelly said it would be ready the next day. The more we chatted, she kept saying she'd have it done by close. Long story short, she delivered. The best part is is that I brought it in at around 2 and she called me before 5 to pick it up! I had scheduled an early morning appointment and the service advisor helped me the second I drove up and told me that my car would be serviced within an hour and a half. The free shuttle dropped us off at the mall and when I called 2 hours later they had told me that they haven't serviced my car yet and that it could take up to another 2 hours. They were dishonest about the service time. They simply do not value the customer's time. Terrible service, I wouldn't trust buying a car or getting my car serviced at this dealership. read more

So I took my car today for maintenance and oil change. First of all they pulled me to the non-appointment line even though I did get an appointment yesterday. Turns out the non-appointment line get delayed compared to those who have appointments, I told the technician that I do have an appointment yet he ignored me. Then they took the car for service. The waiting area is very nice and the place clean and nice and there is coffee. I was also amazed to find out that they have shuttle service and so I used it and the guy dropped me home which is 3 miles away. Now am waiting for somebody to call me so that I go get my Honda Pilot, nobody called (waited 4 hours). So it's time to call them. Here is the disaster, the lady was very very rude and she even hung up on me She was asking very rudely who is my service advisor (I don't know who is he!) and she was asking very rudely you want a pick up ride or know the status of your car (I told her both!) Yesterday we purchased a 2016 Honda Civic from Concord Honda. Ali Maloky was our salesman and I cannot think of one bad thing to say about the experience even if I tried hard. He answered ALL of my questions. I started looking over a week ago for a new car and wasn't even sure what I wanted exactly... he even responded via text or email within a very timely basis. My husband and I went in yesterday to sign paperwork and close the deal, it was a very smooth and stress free transaction. No surprises or hidden fees that they conveniently forgot (I have experienced this in the past when purchasing a car from another dealer). We were given a very in depth tour of our new car and all it's inner workings. If you are looking for honest deal I highly recommend Concord Honda! The Finance guy was super nice too. My complaints are not about the dealership itself, but of their sales person, I'm not sure how his name is spelled but his name is Serias. My sister in- law and I just purchased a 2018 Honda Civic Ex, on 1/13/18, from the time of contract negotiation on the car he was very negative. I wanted to switch salesperson but didn't want to seem rude so I continued with the transaction. We left the dealership really late and expressed the nighttime visibility was bad and if we could return to the dealership if we noticed any defects, which Serias agreed that it was fine to do so. This morning 1/14/18 I noticed some stains and scratches in the car that were not visible at night. I took the car back to the dealership because of the grease stains I noticed on the sun visor, door pillar, and some scratches on the door panel. He was rude on blaming us for putting the stains/ scratches on the door panels and took the car back to the "detail department". He came back quickly with the car and the door panel scratches were still there. He continued to refer to it as we intentionally did it. I can't believe how unprofessional this salesperson is. I've purchased several cars through other dealerships and I have never experienced this type of rude behavior from a salesperson. I believe this sales person needs to refocus his attention on what it means to provide good customer service, rather than trying to make commission on a sale. read more

Best experience ever!! I picked up a pre owned 2015 Scion FR-S from here about a week ago with only 6000 miles and didn't realize until after I bought it that something was odd about the clutch. After taking it to a Toyota master tech he agreed and said it felt like a racing clutch, which would void the factory warranty that came with the car. I brought it back to Honda and they said they would need to open it up to confirm this before taking any action. They went the extra mile came back and than went an extra extra mile. They had their Toyota dealer down the street check it out and it indeed has a racing clutch in it. Instead of saying "well to bad about your warranty hope nothing breaks bye". They are fixing things to keep my warranty intact. You can buy a car from here knowing that they will take care of you if something isn't quite right. I couldn't be happier. Thanks Concord Honda for selling me my dream car and honoring what you say. I wanna thank my salesman (Jay) you got me the price I wanted. I came here to purchase a new Honda Accord. Buyer beware, the salesperson Nico J, who assisted me was extremely unprofessional, painfully aggressive and started to argue. I am a A+ buyer with excellent credit and cash to purchase and this salesperson created a very horrific buying experience, he didn't want to accommodate at looking at other vehicle options and was extremely uncomfortable to work with. I was forced to walk out and took my trade in Honda Accord with me. He did not thank us for coming and also complained about spending 2 hours with us. 2 HOURS! C'mon now. I am a customer and have been for several years and was appalled by this customer service experience. Be very cautious when going to this dealership, it's extremely questionable on their acceptable levels of service here and I wouldn't be surprised if the Sales Manager condones this behavior. Not sure if I can even consider going to another Honda Dealership (especially a "Sonic" brand) altogether because of my horrible experience, oh and they claim they can "try" to beat TrueCar.... not good enough. They will charge you for an overpriced pre-installed alarm system and a invisible vehicle theft deterrent ID system that's not in the quote. I made an appointment for an oil change and went in with the coupons Concord Honda had mailed to my home for special on oil change for about $50. I talked to the service representative and ask for the oil change that was on the coupon. However, another representative joined in and after fast talking switched me to a different more expensive option without telling me it would cost more. Actually he told me it was cheaper. He also added tire rotation to the service without telling me. This is even after I told him the rear tire had a leak and I planned to change the tires in the next 2 weeks. The service person told me it was better and safer if the tire with the leak was on the front. I checked with a couple of mechanics and they told me this was actually dangerous to have done and he should not have rotated the leaking tire to the front. So, my experience at this dealership started with fraud and ended by putting me and my family in danger. The reason, so they could make more money by doing the tire rotation and charging me more. I also noticed the service person was pushing more expensive services on me and after watching him the other service person started to do the same thing. I wrote to the dealership, but no response. I specifically tell the over the phone I'm coming from far away and want to make sure everything is set before I leave the house. I get approved, work out the warranty and the payment, leave the house and about halfway there get a call saying the car isn't even there and has been shipped off!! the service is SLOW and their shuttle service is even worse. they have a free shuttle service from their location to the sunvalley mall which is around an 8 minute drive yet it's taken over 40 minutes for the driver to show up. we didn't even end up taking the shuttle back and ordered a lyft. very disappointed. read more

Unfortunately, Concord Honda is the only local Honda dealer that seems to be part of the Costco auto buying program. Forget finding anyone to assist you there though. I have emailed Christina Sanchez multiple times, as well as Jack Zhang, and Ali Maloky, and received no response from anyone regarding my inquiry about pricing and availability. They are however able to continually send out automated, canned, sales emails, they just don't seem to have a human working there that is able to actually reply to an email. So, if you would like to receive more spam emails, and don't want to actually communicate with anyone, Concord Honda is the place for you. If you actually want to talk to someone about buying a car, you should probably contact another dealer, any other dealer is likely to be able to, at a minimum, respond to an email. read more

Came all the way from Stockton to test drive a van . They knew I was coming and van was covered in dirt. Inside was dirty as well. My wife had standard questions but it was quite clear that salesperson knew nothing of the van and couldn't answer.They washed the outside for me . I continued test drive and when I returned I called to have the salesperson come out because I had questions and wanted to show some flaws the van had. Receptionist said she wouldn't call her out but that I had to come in and ask for her at the front desk. So with the dirty vehicle unfamiliarity with the vehicle you are trying to sell me and poor customer service you lost my business. Buying a used car is never fun, but having the dealership flat out back out on a deal after we've come to a mutual agreement on a price is a first for me. When I first arrived I clearly expressed to the sales guy that I did not intend to trade in my existing car, but I was willing to hear what they would offer. We proceed to negotiate the purchase price of the car I am looking to buy and come to an agreed price. At this point they are still looking at my existing car and have not given me their trade in offer. The sales guy goes into the back and gets me the paperwork for the purchase of the car and asks if I'm willing to trade in my car at a particular price. I said "no" and he goes and gets my keys and title and gives them back to me. Everything is great up until now... Ten minutes later, as I'm filling out the paperwork for the purchase, another guy comes out and accusses me of backing out on the deal for the trade-in...claiming that the purchase price I received was predicated on the trade-in deal. At this point I realize it's going to get ugly and I'm in for the nasty used car buying experience. I explain (to 4 different people of course) that I never agreed to trade in my vehicle and that I never even received their offer until after we negotiated and agreed to the purchase price of the car I was buying. I finally asked to speak to the GM to express my displeasure with their tactics and he was just as arrogant and rude as the rest of the guys I spoke to. He finally just flat tells me that they won't do the original deal we agreed to. This place is your sterotypical used car buying experience. Keep the customer there for over 2 hours, wear them down and hope they finally cave in out of frustration and exhaustion. Needless to say I left the dealership without buying the car and will not be returning with any business. read more

Bought a new Accord at Concord Honda 2 weeks ago, and I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised. A large selection of Accords. The saleswoman Nichole Payton was very friendly and knowledgeable. Like most people, I hate the negotiating part, but Nichole made it very easy. We agreed on an amount without any back and forth or usual run around you get from car dealers. There was no closer, and I didn't have to deal with multiple people during the negotiating. The finance manager Zouhair did a great job explaining all my finance options, he even managed to get me a lower rate than the one I had from my bank. I did a lot of research on the internet and corresponded with a lot of other dealers but this dealer provided more honest information and acted more professionally than the others. I also got what I consider a very fair deal (approximately $3000 under MSRP). The whole process at the dealer took about 2 hours, not an all day affair like some purchases I've had in the past. I live in Walnut Creek, but I pick this Honda branch because of their very good customer service. Wasif (service department) is one of them. But one Saturday morning of July 2, 2011 I came over to have my Honda CRV service, I was there around 9 in the morning coz I know it's going to be a busy one (holiday weekend) I know the routine of parking your car in front of the service dept. Then service personnel come and ask you about what service do you need. Sitting inside the car for a little 3 minutes nobody come and ask me, so I went inside to see if somebody can help me, standing inside for 7 minutes nobody asked me if I'm being helped so I asked one of the guys that was walking by and ask if Wasif (the good service guy) and was told that he's off that day. So I waited and a guy infront of me (Shawn) I saw his badge just finished with his customer, instead of asking me if I'm being helped he passed by me as if he didn't see me and proceed to help another customer. I was so furious I went back to the car and Rich (one of the customer service) asked me if I'm being helped ( told Rich everything what happened) He said we value your business and if you allow me to help you I will try my best, he call Tom to help me out. Tom is very accommodating. Again don't let one rotten tomato (like Shawn) ruin a very good customer service that you (Honda of Concord) offer to customers.
