We were there for the soft opening before Opening Day. They have an entire new menu and the food was out of this world. We experienced a problem with their POS as we went to check out, but our waiter, Jordan and managers, Kasey and Jessica were on it and took care of it. They went out of their way to make sure our experience was good. They had a smile on their faces regardless of the IT hardships they were facing. We just had our company holiday party this past Saturday night at the Chop House at SunTrust Park and it was a blast. I heard nothing but great things about the party. It seemed everyone had a wonderful time. This is my first year on my company's Party Planning Committee so I helped out in setting this event up. I was primarily responsible for hiring our event photographer, renting the photo booth, and getting some centerpieces for the space. Others on the committee met with folks from the Atlanta Braves to tour and book the space, finalize the dinner and drink menu, and other details. Another committee member and I toured the event spaces at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. While MB Stadium was certainly nice, the committee ultimately decided on the Chop House for our venue this year (we may use MB Stadium for a party in the future). Expected attendance was 125. We all had to be screened through a metal detector at the Chop House gate just like going to a Braves game. We had the entire Chop House to ourselves. I found all of the staff to be friendly -- security, doorwoman, bartenders, waitstaff, even the lady who kicked us out at the end of the night. The Chop House doesn't have enough space for 125 seated guests, so we did a mix of sitting and standing. This encouraged more mingling and created a more relaxed environment as opposed to a more formal dinner setting which is what a lot of our holiday parties have been like in the past. The more casual atmosphere was well received. I was in the Chop House from about 6pm to 11pm (the party officially ran from 7pm to 10pm) and time flew by because my fiancee and I were having such a good time. The space was already nicely decorated with Christmas trees, gift boxes, and wreaths, but the tables needed centerpieces. My fiancee and I grabbed some holiday-themed centerpieces from Costco for the large seated tables and another committee member grabbed small poinsettias from Home Depot for the smaller high top tables. I thought the centerpieces turned out great. The space has a lot of TVs (kind of like a sports bar) so we displayed a slideshow of various company-related pictures, mostly from old parties. Those were fun to look at. We had Christmas music playing over the speakers. We had access to the Chop House deck overlooking the baseball field. We had to pay for the lights to be turned on. It was worth it (why would you have a party at a baseball stadium if you can't even see the field?). We were also given the option of having something displayed on the ballpark's big screen at an additional cost, but decided against it. Delaware North, a company that handles food service at sporting venues and airports among other places, provided the food and drink. We had the following: "Build Your Own" Dinner Buffet (self-serve buffet): * Maple-dijon-crusted chicken breast, roasted peach chutney * Ricotta tortellini, grilled asparagus, fresh tomato sauce * Braised seasonal greens * Squash souffle, crunchy cracker crumbs * Bacon fat fingerling potatoes * Balsamic roasted Brussels sprouts "Action" Station Enhancement (carving station): * Oak-smoked brisket * Assorted BBQ sauces and jalapeno cheddar biscuits Dessert: * Red velvet layer cake * Key lime pie with graham cracker crust * Molten chocolate cake * Assorted cookies I thought the food was very good. I only have one small complaint. The molten chocolate cake, while extremely delicious, was too hard to easily cut into using our plastic silverware. My fork broke into several small pieces as I tried to break apart the dessert's hard outer layer. I think all catered food should be "compatible" with the cutlery that it's served with. Those minor gripes aside, we enjoyed the dinner. I think most people's favorite item was the oak-smoked brisket. It was fantastic and could hold its own against the brisket served by just about any barbecue joint in Atlanta. The chicken breast was decent too. The crust was flavorful and the meat was moist and tender. I really liked the key lime pie. It was so good; very smooth and creamy. Coming from someone who rarely drinks, I thought the drinks were spectacular. The bartender was mixing some pretty tasty cocktails. The photo booth, which was provided by Krisandra Evans Photography (https://bit.ly/2QzOiiO), was a hit. Thankfully, the Chop House had the space and necessary hookups for the photo booth. The Braves/Chop House/SunTrust Park folks did require a certificate of insurance from Krisandra and that certificate had to say certain things in it, as required by the Braves, so that was an unforeseen hoop we had to jump through. Krisandra had an assistant, Betsy, who worked the photo booth while Krisandra roamed the event taking candids and posed shots. If you ever need an event photographer and/or photo booth, I highly recommend her. We had to park in the Delta Deck which is a several-minutes walk around to the Chop House. The Battery made it very easy for pre-gaming and post-gaming. read more

Overpriced bland subpar bar food. Servers and bartenders don't even know the beers they serve; and it's called Coors Chophouse. My guest accidently left two tee shirts ($60),behind, because we were rushed to pay and leave ; since people were waiting for our table. I came back to retrieve the shirts; no one new anything. Gave me the runaround. My guest came back and caused a scene. The shirts miraculously appeared. The view from the restaurant is one of the only redeeming qualities. Kill the vulgar/gansta rap music; and treat your interracial couples dining in your establishment better. Especially your gay interracial couples on Atlanta Braves Pride Night. Just keep walking by. Great if all you want to do is drink and stand to watch the game. Food and service is terrible. Food is the same food you get outside, like chicken fingers, basic nachos, double cheese burger etc.. and the prices are more. So loud you have to yell to talk to anyone. We got seats in the 160 section & man let me tell you.. not having to get up to go get your over priced beer plus have a cup holder with a built in cooler is like over paid beer heaven. But don't let the pricey food & drinks stop you from enjoying this experience. The bathroom is right inside so it's less drunks & strange folks trying to take a peek @ your pee pee while you pee pee. While at the Chophouse during NLCS Game 6, a friend and myself found a table that already had people at it. I asked the group that was already there if they mind that we hung out there and sat our drinks down. They were very nice and let us, and even made conversation with us. In comes the server Yshaundra who stated that we needed to leave because we were not paying customers of that section. I said "Well, I would order something if the server came around." Yshaundra then let me know that she was the server, and that I needed to leave. Her new reason is because of Covid concerns (she said while not wearing a mask nor face shield). After I told her that the group who was already there didn't mind, she then lied and said that they asked her to ask us to leave. I then confirmed that she made up that scenario in her mind with the group, and they confirmed they never said such thing. After going back and forth for a little and Yshaundra getting loud, I asked if she had a manager I could speak to. She then said "Yes, I will have security come". So now not only is she getting loud with a customer, she's threatening to kick me out. I told her I would wait for security, and that is just what I did. About 5 minutes go by and she gets the attention of an officer and directly points at me, never mind the fact that there are at least 50 others in the Chophouse standing in the same exact spot that I am. The officer lets me know that he doesn't believe that I am in the way, but asked if I could just move to someone else's section just to keep the peace and that is just what I did. I wasn't treated like an inconvenience when I moved just 3 tables down. To no surprise, others stood in the same exact spot I was in when I moved sections. She said nothing to them. Just went in to the Coors Light Chop House before a Braves game and the GM was incredibly disrespectful to my wife and I. Attempted to sit at a handicap table because my wife has autism. The GM and staff came over to tell us that we could not sit there because it was reserved for handicapped customers. I explained that my wife has autism and was allowed to sit there. They told us that we still couldn't sit there and they were for wheelchair only, however, the other handicap accessible table was marked the same way and didn't have anyone sitting at it that required a wheelchair. I told the GM that this is blatant discrimination and she should be ashamed of herself. My wife immediately became overstimulated and we left the restaurant because both my wife and I were tired of hearing her excuses as to why we could not sit at this particular table. the female bartenders at the bar upstairs are terrible. My company has seats near this bar, so it is the easiest place to get a beer, and both games I've been to, the bartenders have been awful. If you want to be mistreated and have horrible service this is the place for you. I'll not be returning or recommending this sorry excuse of a restaurant to ANYONE. Went to the chop house and sat a table and wasn't getting any service. After waiting we went up to the bar and orders 6 drinks, which was about $100, and sat back at a table. Within ten seconds their waiter Chris told us we couldn't sit unless we ordered a drink. As we all sat there full drinks in our hand that we got from their bar because no one was servicing us at the table. A little confused with Chris and irritated I politely smiled and said sure bring us 4 well whiskey and cokes. After waiting 30 minutes we got Crown and Coke's?!? Didn't know crown was well whiskey. So I went up to the bartender and asked him what his well was and responded, "Jack Daniels". When I voiced to him that Chris told me it was crown and reassured me I was misinformed and maybe even lied to from. I voiced my opinion to Chris and literally walked away from me and brushed me off. I talked to the "manager" who told me well you got Crown so you're going to pay for it and like it. When I asked for an employee I.d number so I can voice my concern was told they don't have one and walked away. Mind blown that a manager wouldn't give a customer the time of day and blew us off. Pretty sure there's some fishy stuff going on over. Maybe some employees pocketing extra money or not serving customers their requested order Anyone who's been in the bar and restaurant business knows how common this is and just saddens me it could be happening in the home of the Braves. read more
