I went to Copeland's last night around 9. We were seated pretty quickly but it took out server Dennis a few minutes to get to us, he was kind of busy so it was understandable. He was great but I can't say that about the rest of the experience. My gumbo was lukewarm and watery and the side of creamed spinach I ordered had to come out 3 times because the first two were cold-lukewarm but the plate was hot each time. Dennis did a great job at handling the situation and even though that's not his fault, he was sure to apologize and fix it immediately. I got the blackened catfish which was about a 7/10, I think I would've enjoyed it more if it was hot instead of lukewarm. It's a nice restaurant but they need to work on not serving cold food just because it's near closing time. This was my first time at Copeland's and I hate to say I don't understand what the hype is about. read more

We just ate at Copeland's restaurant in Kennesaw to celebrate a birthday. We had one of the best meals ever. The food and service were outstanding. If you've never been to either of their locations you should try it out. It's a must do! Seriously the loaded mac and cheese is out of this world. Ribs fall off the bone and the Copeland's cheesecake we'll let's just say the Cheesecake Factory just came in a distant second. Wow this was an.... experience... My party and I came to Copeland's Saturday night to enjoy an evening out. We checked in with the hostess to get a table. The wait wasn't very long at all. However we were seated in a very crowded area by the bar. It appeared that they crammed as many tables as they could in a tiny bar area. There was even two very large parties of over 10 seated. There was a live Dj playing music, which was entirely too loud for that space. Don't get me wrong, I love live music, it was just so loud, we were practically yelling at each other to speak. Our waiter, who was working both the bar and the tables came to take our order. I think he may have had a long night because he wasn't very enthusiastic about serving us. We ordered our food and by that time the Dj was packing up which was ok by us. The next thing we saw was a young lady being escorted out in handcuffs by the police. That's not something that you want to see at dinner, especially since the lady that was escorted worked at the establishment. After that all I saw were groups of employees coming out the back, gathering around to discuss the situation. All of this was unprofessional. Our meals finally came and I had an item that I did not order but in stead of having to wait for my correct item, I told the waiter I would just keep it. My friend ordered a salad and it came without croutons and the chicken that it was supposed to have. I hope these items were not missed because they were preoccupied with the previous ordeal. We had a great experience‼ Our waiter Brenda was exceptional and she was very prompt with the service. She was knowledgeable of the menu and made sure every aspect of our dinner was served hot and in its best quality. She recommended the chicken Parmesan sandwich which was devine. The bread was toasted to perfection and it was just the right amount of cheese and marinara sauce not to mention the fries was awesome! We tried the New Orleans spicy fried chicken, sautéed spinach, red roasted potatoes, and broccoli in which everything was cooked to perfection with the just the right amount of seasoning. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant again because I was very impressed with the food and the service so they come highly recommended. I did purchase cheesecake to go so I will update my review once I eat but it does look delicious. read more

We went the second day the dining room reopened. The protocols in place made you feel comfortable. They had excellent social distancing at the tables and markers on the floor and front waiting area. The staff was kind and checked on us several times. Everyone had masks and there was hand sanitizer at the front for everyone to use. It was a little hard to find the entrance while dealing with traffic and the building being on a busy corner. Once inside, the old feelings came back as I had not been in a Copeland's since 2010 in Louisiana. Finding this one was an accident and made my mouth water for some cajun food. I had the red beans and rice with andouille sausage. It was delicious! Service was very good for a late afternoon on a Sunday and the place was quite busy. I definitely was not hungry when I finished my meal, but still ordered one of my favorite desserts, white chocolate bread pudding, to go. I will eagerly return if in the area again. read more

Started with the Spinach and Artichoke dip which is always good. It went down hill from there. The Ricochet catfish we ordered did come with the creole menuiere sauce on either plate. The baked potato was hard and over baked. Sent it back in exchange for the mashed potatoes. Then had to ask for it cause the manager forgot to bring it. Creamed spinach was very good. When it came time for dessert, it was brought to us in a Togo container. Not sure why they thought we wanted it togo. read more

I have been here two times and all I can say is "YUMMY" I am never unhappy with my food choice. The fried chicken is amazing so is the shrimp scampi pasta. The biscuit melt in your mouth. The staff is very nice and you can go without a reservations. On the weekends the wait can be long depending on if it is a high traffic time. This is a place I will continue to return to. I even spilled cheese spinach when I went by accident and waiter did not make me feel bad at all. They cleaned it up right away but I felt so bad. read more

This was my first time at Copeland's and I have to say everything was great EXCEPT the crazy long wait. Myself, my husband and our two daughters came to try out the brunch Buffett after church. We drove from Duluth GA to Cumberland on a Sunday just to try out this restaurant. Unfortunately, they do not take reservations so we had to take a chance. Our "chance" resulted in a little over an HOUR wait, but because we had driven so far (and because we were initially told 40 mins) we decided to stay. The wait didn't seem justified since there was and entire section of the restaurant (the enclosed area) that was barely occupied. The food was absolutely wonderful and our server (Isaiah) was fabulous (friendly and attentive without hovering). My suggestion from a glance....The buffet traffic is in a bad location in the restaurant. If they MOVE the buffet to the enclosed area and then add more tables where the buffet is currently located, more people could be seated and the enclosed space wouldn't go unused causing such a long and unnecessary wait! read more

Checked out their Saturday Brunch and OMG!!! Everything I put in my mouth was delicious. Flavorful and fresh!!! Saturday is great b/c it's not too busy. We arrived @10:00 when they opened not sure how busy it would be. The selection is huge! From the very flavorful cheese grits to the smoked salmon and shrimp etoufee to French toast brioche!! This establishment is extremely unorganized and unethical. We arrived at 5 pm on 3/12, gladly waited the hour the hostess originally told us. When the hour was up, they sent a text asking us to sit at separate tables instead. When we declined, we had to wait an additional 30 minutes until receiving notification that our table was ready. When we received notification, we waited an additional 30 minutes just to be told the waiter was on break and would be back shortly. After waiting another 20 minutes, the MANAGER informed us that she "accidentally" gave away our table and that we would have to wait a bit longer. The manager did not offer any words of remorse or offer accommodations following such a huge mistake on her end. I will never dine here again and from the looks of it, they have a habit of treating customers this way. read more

Hosted a brunch for 40+ women at Copeland's. India, their event coordinator, was excellent - very organized, friendly and accommodating! I even had 40 separate checks and they worked so well to fit our needs. The waitstaff Tyler, Anica and Erica were AMAZING. Service could NOT have been better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So disappointing. The quality of food is mediocre. The catfish nuggets is all batter, the "chicken" are tendeers and not whole pieces with bones, all the rric dishes ( shrimp creole etc.) lack flavor and comes with small shrimp. Copeland's is known for its Cajun cuisines and cheesecake. The menu had a great variety ranging from seafood beignets to steaks to jambalaya. I opted for something lighter and ordered the Salmon Cobb Salad. To be blackened salmon, it was somewhat bland. I really did not care for the dressing either. It was too sweet for my taste. Next time, I will probably try one of the pastas. My mother order the Crabcake and Shrimp pasta, and it was delicious. My sister did not like her jambalaya, and the server was very accommodating. He encouraged her to try something different from the menu and was attentive throughout the entire dining experience. We went on a Saturday night, and it was PACKED. We waited about 45min for a table. So if you're in a hurry, I would recommend going at a different time. All in all, it was a good dining experience. read more

Not an enjoyable experience to be honest. I had the jambalaya and it was below average flavored. My boyfriend had the chicken fingers and they seemed not to have honey mustard by any chance... this is quite upsetting. The service is good but the food is just not that authentic. Even though we just lived across from the street, we just decided not to come again... they seemed to have a buffet during the day, but we just don't think it would be a great deal for us. read more
