Went twice in one day. During the morning I had the Anaheim scrambler. Classic scrambled eggs and bacon American breakfast, and I even paired it with some iced tea. Did wish the portion size was a little heavier on the eggs side, felt more like a salad than anything else. At night, went back to try the Chicken carbonara and had a fresh lemonade. This place has become a favorite of mine! I love stopping here before heading into work for my sweet cream cold brew coffee and a yogurt parfait. I love the coffee here because it's not sickeningly sweet! Still has that bitter taste I enjoy with a light creaminess. The yogurt parfait always hit the spot. Fresh berries and granola, can't go wrong. The avocado breakfast wrap has become one of my favorite things for breakfast. It's such a great grab and go item and perfect for eating on the go. First of all I love this restaurant and have had nothing but a positive experience with the mission valley location. Unfortunately the customer service here is worse than the terrible food. Ordered the Anaheim panini. Was given a soggy piece of toast with slop thrown between the pieces of soggy bread. When I asked them to retoast it they replied they do not have a press and it is toasted in the oven. Then why call it a panini and why every other time I have ordered it does it have grill marks including the picture on the menu? My mom ordered scramble eggs with cheese melted. What she got was dry overdone eggs with cold cheese thrown on top. The staff was super rude when I asked them to retoast the panini and redo the eggs. The first girl ignored me rolled her eyes and let the other girl talk to me like she didn't want to deal with it and I was bothering them. Convenient little place not far from home. They have several options - sandwiches, paninis, eggs, pancakes and some pasta plates too. I've tried their pasta before and liked it, but today we got their pancakes and I loved them! Pancakes aren't my most favorite, so the fact that I liked them says a lot about this place. ENTREE: I ordered the Chicken Carbonara, which consists of peas, chicken, bacon, linguini, and carbonara sauce, and I asked for extra cheese on top (a $0.50 additional charge). The bowl itself was quite large, about 10 inches in diameter. When I got it, it appeared to just be pasta, cheese, and sauce. I had to dig around to find the TOPpings. The pasta itself was bland and cold, so I had to add a lot of salt and pepper. Even then it wasn't enjoyable, so I ended up just eating the chicken and bacon and leaving. The chicken itself tasted pretty good, but the chunks were very small and not enough compared to the huge amount of linguini noodles. PASTRIES: I got the Toffee Cookie Bites, and i would definitely go there just to get them again. The toffee gave it a slight crunch, and there was also chocolate bits inside. They tasted delicious. This particular Corner Bakery is always super busy, but they always keep the line moving and get you in and out. They always seem to be staffed adequately which makes a huge difference in service compared to other locations. I've been ordering from the catering menu for quite sometime now and eaten at the restaurant a couple of times as well. Every time I come in I am greeted with a friendly "hello" and a smile. When I have placed orders over the phone the staff members have always been super friendly as well. The food always tastes fresh. I've eaten many of the sandwiches, both hot and cold. I was on my lunch break trying to figure out what I wanted for food and I completely forgot how close this place is to my office! I've been going here for yearssssss but hadn't been back in a while. I decided to go for lunch here and I ordered the chicken pomodori panini which is my favorite item they have! Came back to meet my friend for lunch today..still no sweet crisps given to us with our full-size entrees and salads, even though we asked. We had to order garlic bread a la carte instead. Dined here yesterday and was super excited. Cashier was kind and courteous. Cafe handout menu at front of store (and online menu) said all cafe & entree salads come with bread. We ordered 2 full entree salads. Both came out as half portions and without bread. They were delicious, but the bread would have made it pop. We didn't realize it until we were done with the salads. Covid 19. 'Tis the season. I actually like this little corner in this store. It's in the back, just one table open. It's almost heavenly. I hate the low lamps, crashing into my head when I stand up. The eggs were cold. No butter for the toast. Bacon like hard bricks. Potatoes are not browned, just greasy. I clearly said no onions or peppers. However, as I raked through the potatoes, wondering why they smelled like onions and peppers, I found the remnants of both, to which I'm allergic. My husband asked to speak to the manager who very, very apologetic and refunded my breakfast..
