It sits in a packed plaza and seems quite unassuming, with its leaky exterior and decal plastered filled windows. It is a "hole-in-the-wall", but a hole that packs a punch in your taste buds. What it lacks in aesthetic pleasantries, is made up in amazing Korean fusion taste. A big plus were the pictures of their popular dishes. Going into a new place, decisions can easily be made by how appealing the dishes are. The two dishes we chose were incredible and easy to split. Each taco comes with two tortillas plenty of meat and cabbage. We were able to turn four tacos into eight. They are a little bit spicy with the jalapenos as garnishes, but it is worth the kick. The BBQ plate comes with a salad and instead of going with the Ranch or Thousand Island, choose the Korean sauce instead. The meat had sesame seeds and grilled onions with nice crisp edges that added a nice crunchy texture of the whole meal. The sauces and marinades they use are incredible. It is full of flavor and leaves a lasting delicious aftertaste. The staff are nice and hardworking. You can see them all cooking up a delicious storm. We had a large group and it was our first time here. I found this on Yelp and had a group of 15 people with me and was nervous about my recommendation to them having never gone here before. However, the reviews are all accurate and this place is 5 stars!!!! The service was great, people were attentive, warm, and friendly. We tried several items between the 15 people and everyone commented on how delicious their selections were - kalbi burger, chicken sandwich, chili cheese burger, wings, hungry boy burger, tacos, etc. Everything we ate was good! I love supporting mom and pop shops and with good food, good service, and reasonable prices, this place is 5-stars! Wish we lived closer but we will definitely visit again whenever we are nearby. This is a Korean fusion spot with very tasty food. When you visit a must are the tacos which have a mixture of ingredients that make them taste stupendous. So good!!!! Glad I followed the advice of other yelpers and checked this place out. Service was great and so pleasant. Had the tacos - 2 chicken and 2 steak. (They had buy 3 get 1 free). So filling- and delicious. I also tried a bite of the chicken burger and kolbi burger that my daughters ordered. They enjoyed them so much they were reluctant to share a bite. Having read so much about the Korean French fries we also shared an order of the chicken. Again, delicious. Unfortunately corner grill is not really near where we live but my girls are already trying to think of a reason to go back to van nuys just for the food! read more

I came to Corner House on a last second whim with my girlfriend after we found this place on Yelp. The pictures we saw were enough to convince us to give them a try. I ordered the Hungry Boy Burger & my girlfriend ordered the Korean Beef bbq. We also split an order of Korean BBQ fries with chicken added to it. Truth be told, the Korean bbq fries weren't just good.. they were REALLY good!! One of the best French fry combinations that I've ever had. The Hungry Boy burger definitely did not disappoint me either. The burger is on Hawaiian bread...MMM MMM good!! My girlfriend said the Korean bbq beef was really good as well. But what really impressed me was the SERVICE they gave. Kary, one of the owners, provided exceptional service. She brought one of our entrees to us, she came to our table, picked up & brought back our fountain drink refills on 3 separate occasions (they provide free refills on fountain drinks) and was very warm, welcoming and humble. She thanked us for our business. Just think about how often an owner helps out the employees at a restaurant. She definitely has us as permanent customers. Great place. i love it here. the korean beef bbq fries is a must-try , they put this addicting sauce on it and the fresh jalapenos and sriracha gives it an extra kick. all their burgers are worth a try, but my favorite is their kalbi burger and their crispy chicken burger. they have a variety of other foods if you're not feeling burgers. for the price, the food quality is excellent and the people who work there are so genuine and helpful. so happy i found out about this place. read more
