Visited for the first time Jan 31, 2012 with my niece (her suggestion) while on a business trip to Seattle. I found it delightful with excellent food and staff, my calzone was great as were the clams. Small and neat, next trip I will likely visit again even though I usually stay by Seatac. read more

I Ordered a drink and it came with two dead flies in it and when I pointed it out to the bar tender and waitress, she said "ohh fruit flies!", as if it were funny. No apologies given. I then ordered a beer which came with complementary hard white residue on the inside of the glass. I then pointed it out to the waitress and she was trying to say it was rack marks so I then began to scrape it off with a knife to show her it wasn't... Again, no apologies and I was treated like I were the asshole. I am in no way a complainer or picky customer but it was a true shock given how nice the place looked. This has become our favorite pizza in Seattle! My favorites are the Margarita and the Diavola which has the most deliciously crispy little rounds of pepperoni. The ricotta gnocchi are also amazing - both the gorgonzola and the tomato. I also love the cozy atmosphere. This place has so much potential. Great ingredients, excellent service, cool vibe but it truly is 3-4 stars. We sat down, got menus and drinks then the music came on...ska...like really bad sublime cover bands...in an italian joint. Looking past that we decided on a mushroom ricotta pizza and a veggie calzone. Our food comes pretty fast and we dig in. My calzone is excellent, quality ingredients, great shell. I grab a slice of the pizza and its not firm. The crust was undercooked. Its still delicious but disappointing. we finish our meal and the reason i'm giving this place 4 stars instead of 3: TIRAMISU. It was perfect, creamy and amazing. We settled up and the last thing that got me down was the bathroom. It was too dark and they had great art on the walls but no way of seeing it. It would tie it into a great atmosphere if i could have seen the pictures. So if you're reading this owners: harder crust, better/appropriate music and just a little more light in the bathroom so we can see the beautiful art. read more

It is extremely hard to find an actual neopolitan style pizza in Seattle, but Cornuto comes pretty close. The pizzas are very good, as are all the sides I have tried. The house wine is also quite good, and a nice accompaniment to the food. It is a bit pricey for what you get, however. I can easily eat two pizzas in one sitting, and I am not an especially big guy. At around $15 a pop, that can add up quickly. The staff is really cool and willing to chat with you about the food. It is also definitely worth noting the happy hour: free slices of pizza appear on the bar to have with your drinks. read more

Although the atmosphere is on the crowded, chaotic, noisy side, the food here has been uniformly excellent. Portions are not huge, but flavors are delicious: pizzas (especially the tuna!), eggplant parm, broccolini, the tuna & beans "bites", etc. Really great for a quick neighborhood dinner. read more

I love their pizzas (wood fired, tasty crust), but their pizzas are pretty small, so I would say 1 pizza for two people is probably the most you could expect to feed. My fiance and I ended up here after the restaurant we intended to go to was closed. The food was excellent, but the service was better. We had potato pizza and clam pasta (can't remember the exact names), both of which were delicious! I have lots of allergy restrictions and they were able to accommodate us and didn't make me feel embarrassed about it. Also, we ordered a bottle of wine and though they were out of the specific bottle, our bartender/server was able to recommend a similar bottle and offered it to us at the same price even though it was more expensive on the menu. Do not eat here unless you are a party of TWO, only TWO. If you are anything larger, there is no place for your entire party to sit. The place is TINY. If, you are smaller party of ONE and just wanting to grab a bite for the night and sit in a booth, they treat you like an inconvenience from the moment you get there and then ask you to sit at the bar. This, would normally be fine, but the bar is cramped, small, loud, hardly an enjoyable spot if you wanted a nice quiet meal to yourself. My boyfriend and went here last Saturday night. We arrived to find one open booth, yay, and got seated right away. This place is tiny! And so cute! I love the intimate atmosphere, exactly what we needed that night. A cozy place to drink some wine, each some good food and have a low key evening. We ordered a craft of wine with a recommendation from our server. It was perfect. We both had salads; I had the caesar. That was nothing special but good. We then ordered the QUATTRO FORMAGGI pizza. Our waiter told us that traditionally they put each ingredient on a different slice but we should mix it and have all ingredients on all 4 slices. We choose to mix it up. And it was so good! I would definitely come back for the food and wine. My one complaint was that our server was a a little too attentive. Maybe he was bored, maybe we just seemed like cool people but he was coming back to fill our water glass or wine glass and chatting with us every couple of minutes. I'm not exaggerating. We almost didn't get to have a personal conversation because he was back so much. We're pretty laid back people so me just laughed it off but I can see how it could be annoying. I'll definitely be back though to try a different pizza and maybe one of the cocktails! read more

My boyfriend and I wanted to try a new restaurant in our neighborhood last night and I was so pleased when I found Cornuto on Yelp. Mostly 4 and 5 star raving reviews with only a single 1 star review that stood out to me where the customer found bugs in her drink. I chopped this up to bad luck and we decided to dine at Cornuto. The food was mediocre although the ambience of the restaurant was good (dimly lit but good). The margherita and verde pizzas were slightly undercooked but edible. It was when my boyfriend stopped mid-sentence, staring into the bottom of his shot of Crown Royal that I realized something was wrong. There were BOTH a dead spider and a dead fly in his single shot of booze. GROSS! I choked down my red wine hoping that I didn't get a mouth full of bugs. The waiter seemed less than concerned about the bugs, although he comped 2 of our drinks (which was a good start but hardly helped the uneasiness in my stomach). We will NEVER go back to this restaurant and caution you against it as well. At the very least their glassware is stored facing up (making for perfect spider catching) and my guess is that they sprayed for bugs, the dead insects collected in their barware (with the chemical residue!) and their staff were not observant enough to find not one but TWO bugs in a short glass of translucent booze. Cornuto is officially the recipient of my first Yelp review because it was just THAT disturbing of a dining experience. Please do not give your business or put your health in the hands of the Cornuto Pizzeria. read more

I decided to stop into this neighborhood pizzeria simply because it was closer to my parking spot than the other pizza place down the street...it met those kind of expectations. Meh...pretty much describes the Tonno pizza I had. Some would argue that anyone who orders a pizza with tuna on it gets what's coming to them. I'll be the first to admit that I have an adventurous palette and the perils that come with it are balanced by the frequent bouts of sinful delight. I really wanted to like this pizza featuring "line caught" tuna but it was soggy and I couldn't tell the difference between this and canned tuna from the grocery store. I was super hungry and had t eaten all day but still I ate I out of hunger rather than delight. One server was great the bartender was somewhat attentive and nice enough but not enough to warrant slapping down a fair amount for blah food. The house wine was heady but definitely not a repeat offender. Overall I liked the cramped but somehow cozy, dimly lit teeny space. I still have hopes that I am not a book-cover judger and just want to like his place because of its cozy urbane atmosphere and that I just chose the wrong dish and wrong wine on an off night. I'm willing to try it again but will stick with a more standard dish and hope it fares better! read more

This place isn't bad, but my impression of the pizza, at least at the late happy hour when I tried it, is that, while a good value, it leaves something to be desired. It's a $5 pizza, and you only have a few basic pizzas to choose from, the most "dressed" being the one I had, basil leaves, cheese and pepperoni. There would seem to be little to complain about at that price point, but the problem is, IMO, they try to stretch a little wad of dough as far out as it will go in size, then ladle on some sauce (I watched the preparation, BTW), a few toppings and into the oven. When it comes out, the outside edge is nicely crisped, but the center where the sauce has been pooled over that very thin dough is positively soggy. I'm no expert, but I make a decent one at home, and I think they need to stop skimping on the dough and roll this a little thicker. Maybe their regular dinner pizzas are better made, but I'd rather go to The Alibi Room for a late happy hour pizza in the future. read more
