The bar area has high seats...but there are picnic tables in the beer keeping room (no idea what the technical name is). We were trying to decide between 3 different breweries in the area and we are so glad we hobbled into this one! We had the Early Bird cold brew milk stout...unbelievably amazing! We recently moved into Bay Park and have been searching for a local brewery to call home. This place is awesome! The staff was really friendly and the inside had a straight view of the tanks where they brew beer Such a wide selection of beers. I got a flight of 5 different beers and was a big fan. There were several witbiers and lagers which is nice to see as many breweries these days seem to be centered around IPA's. Their food menu was a nice bonus. They had several pizza's to choose from and both pies we got were delicious. They also had several appetizers to choose from. I was a bit perplexed why Coronado brewing was in bay park and not Coronado itself, but hey, I guess some things just don't make sense! read more

I love coming there for happy hour! Snacks are $2 off and two pints of beer is only $5. What a steal. They have plenty of seating so great for groups! I do see a rotation of different beers on tap from time to time so there is definitely something for everyone. My tastes have definitely varied when I came here. Some of my favorites have been Seal Rock Doppleback and Berry the Hatchet. They have a full service kitchen so plenty of food options for those hunger pangs after some consumption of beer. My wife and I took a 4 mile bike ride from Mission Beach by Hamel's up to this brewery up near Sea World. You enter and the first thing you see are the tons of stainless liquer tanks, fermenters and mash-tuns making awesome beer. They also have a working bottling line that was being employed while we drank our beer. The were making Mermaid Red at the time and filling 22 oz bombers. Every worker had a smile on their face. It was really fun seeing a working brewery happening behind us. They have a bunch of beer on sale in some fridges off to the side and a wide variety of merchandise to purchase. We are coming back here next year, so I think I will pick up a Dickey's worker shirt then. I ordered a pint of the hibiscus IPA to start off with. The beautiful rose color was pleasing to the eyes, as much as the flavor if the hops were to the palliate. I decided to order 4 tasters for the next order. I got an Industry IPA, good stuff. A Green Frog IPA, it said lime flavored, but I found it underwhelming. A Natorious IPA, which was AMAZING! and I finished it off I and had a Biggy's Small IPA, which was nice for a session IPA. The bartender was super cool and we chatted about beers for about 10 minutes. They have two large screen TVs above the bar and 23 beers on tap. They even ran out of room for their chalk board to list them all. They had about a 20 person group in for a lunch outing, so they brought in some Rubicon sandwiches and there was just happiness all around. My husband and I love coming to the Coronado Brewing Company tasting room. We have been coming to this location for almost ten years. We enjoy it much more than the restaurant in Coronado. Much more updated and the place feels very open. They have a great indoor and outdoor area, a few tvs to watch sports, a menu with plenty of variety to choose from, and we both always find something to drink. I love that they always have their seltzers and ciders on tap along with a sour or two. It's a great place to bring your dog to chill on the weekend. I highly recommend their nachos, giant pretzel, and pizzas along with their new ciders. So good! My only complaint is that the location has felt like a children's playground ever since the place reopened after the pandemic. It's rare that you visit and there aren't children running around the outdoor area, flinging toys or screaming, while their parents ignore them. It kind of ruins the vibe and makes my dog really nervous. The dogs behave way better than the kids do! It's gotten to the point where we expect kids everywhere when we go and, I'll admit, sometimes that is a big deciding factor when we decide to go to a brewery. read more

They have a kitchen!!!!!! And it's real food. And it's good! Like I could come here to eat a meal with no intentions of drinking. The pizzas were great and surprisingly filling. They're bigger than they look! And very reasonably priced. Actually, everything is very reasonably priced, especially when you compare it to other breweries like Stone of Ballast Point. The hummus plate was also much nicer than expected, with olives and artichokes and other nice things in addition to the bread on the side. I liked the spinach dip too. And the sandwiches are huge! Plus they come with a side salad. You can get pasta salad to load up on those carbs or go with one of the fancy green salads. Plus it's just a really nice space. Adequate experience. Feel like this place is taking advantage of city and county covid rules more than other places. I highly doubt the county ordinances say that two people have to order either two separate food items or a nachos or that four people have to order a large pizza. We enjoyed the beer and probably would of stayed longer if we were allowed to just enjoy food at a leisurely pace instead of being forced to order a bunch right off the bat. First timer here! My boyfriend frequents this brewery so I thought I would check it out with him. He's pretty into beer, they even have growlers you can take to go with you. I'm not a fan of beer - this review is based on the service, the food and the cider. We got the white pizza and that was very very delicious. The dough is incredible. They even serve wine now too! The bummer about this place is that there isn't any parking. There's a lighting store in the same complex that takes up a good majority of the parking, however I don't ever see that many cars there. I got the pear cider, and it could have been better. Again this is a brewery so I gave them a few extra points for having other options besides beer. I would come back with my boyfriend and maybe try a different cider on the menu. read more

Came into town for a cousin's graduation and this place was near to where he lived. Thought I would stroll down after work just to read a book and the vibe was great! Not super crowded and the background music was amazing! Couldn't have asked for anything better for a relaxing Wednesday evening. I got the West Coast IPA, however there are a combination of rotating beers and Coronado Brewing favorites! You can also get a flight of 4 for $15 which is soo reasonable and the rotating beers are unique to this brew co (i.e., Peach Cobbler). Highly recommend to come if you're in town! read more

I don't normally write bad reviews, this is directed only at the guy behind the bar (overweight with a beard) who was just a rude jerk. We asked a simple question about the IPA's, as I don't normally drink beer and my husband just wanted to know if there was an IPA he might recommend that had a mild finish, as opposed to the typical bitter finish (my husband loves IPA's) and the guy was instantly rude & snarky with his response. I then asked if he had ginger ale and he completely ignored my question and turned his back to us. FYI: a teaspoon or two of ginger ale helps smooth out that bitterness that most IPA's have. Good food, nice ambience... just the jerk face that works there sucks. read more

I love CBC. The beer is delicious, The tasting room on Knoxville street is pretty, spacious and is dog/kid friendly. It has a variety of food trucks coming in on a daily basis. Mug Club membership: $60 but you get a 25 oz mug for the price of a pint all the time. Plus, for every $100 you spend, it earns you $5 back. Parking spaces are limited but you can find street parking as well. Very friendly staff. Shout out to Jonna and Ciro, my favorite beer tenders. Update: CBC has a kitchen now! Tough review to write . The patio is amazing and good people work behind the bar and serve table. The beer and beer selection are mediocre at best. With the beer scene evolving substantially in San Diego, Coronado beer is dated. Drinking a few beers causes bloating and the beer is malty and heavy. Coronado used to have a wide selection of really good beer but not it is nothing special. The food is decent but nothing special. Hopefully they can revamp the restaurant and manage to attract and keep a good brewer or two. I came here for the San Diego Beer Week event of donut pairing with beer and when I saw that it was donuts prepared especially to go with the beers, I thought this is a great idea! It's 20 bucks for the five beer tasters and five donuts. The pineapple with Jamaican Jerk bacon donut was supposed to pair with the Guava Islander IPA, but I prefer the lemon curd with pomegranate rosewater donut with it. By the way, the guava IPA is really good and reminds me of a cake I made a few weeks ago in Kauai. I digress, so back to the beers. I like the stingray, but the guava one will be coming in first. I questioned some other people about how they liked the pairings and they said they like the bacon donut with the guava and the other group liked the vanilla bean, coconut and pecan donut with the Outlet Stout. Me, I don't like stout and can't see it going with a donut of any kind, but we're all different I guess. The donuts were from Nomad Donuts out of North Park and they were good to be sure. They didn't bring enough because when I got here there were only about Eight left. Glad I got to try them. As far as this tasting room, it's nice and they welcome dogs! I had one sitting at my feet giving me a lick every once in awhile. I've been to the restaurant in Coronado before and enjoyed that experience, so glad I got to check this place out. Then two other small groups approach the bar. I'm am still the most visible of us all, and not even a look. I make eye contact with both, figuring they will get to me. Nice little warehouse brewery. Reminds me of the east coast. Solid lineup of west coast IPAs and a few variants with added fruit. We had the beach break, 21st anniversary IPA, guava IPA, north island iipa, the berry the hatchet and the strawberry shores blonde ale. The anniversary reminded me of Pliny with a strong grapefruit and juicy citrus profile. The north island iipa was a tasty reminder of why I love east coast IPAs so much with its tropical and low bitter profile. This is a great brewery. The staff are always very courteous and patient especially when customers can't make up their mind on what to order. They seem to be genuinely happy to work there. They're not overbearing. They're friendly. This place is clean! Great food selection. My order usually will have chipotle chicken panini, hummus platter, pepperoni pizza and the meatballs. The beer selection will satisfy any discerning beer palate. I've been to the one in Coronado. That one is just a restaurant/gimmick place. Omg I had the most violent food poisoning at what used to be my favorite brewery. The mask thing is outta control, corona is 2020 everyone outside isn't masked it's dumb time for San Diego to move on. I'm in Texas 2 weeks a month and they have zero corona cases, look it up!!! Harland has become my new home. They don't have a huge food selection but at least I won't get violently sick and have food poisoning from cross contamination. I just can't chance that. read more
