First time here and actually my first time getting any Coronado Brewing Beer! Happy they are open and operating during this time, great service from them. Right now, they are requiring food with any alcohol purchase which is totally fine, just something to keep in mind! We ordered the artichoke dip and a personal sized Great White, I forgot just how good artichoke dip could be. The pizza was great too - but $10!!! Quite the price. Pretty sure my boyfriend tried the Rise East and he really liked it! Went here for lunch. Sat right away. Ordered a few tastes and a glass of the Blue Moon type beer. Overall good. We got a Greek salad and tacos for lunch. Food was decent. We both enjoyed our options. Came here for dinner and this place did not disappoint. Got the Island Time pizza and the Brew Pub Pretzel. Very yummy. Everything tater fresh and hot out the oven. Sat at the bar for happy hour and football and all the bartenders are nice and helpful. Second time here and will definitely be coming back. It does get busy in the evening so if you want to come for football I would suggest coming a half hour before the game starts to make sure you get a spot at the bar as they don't have a lot of tvs. read more

That's not likely the case here, at the brewing headquarters' comfy tap room, outdoor seating area, and "brewside" seating next to the stainless steel fermentation tanks, bottling, and canning machines. It's common knowledge that she was born in 1996 on nearby Coronado Island and grew up there before swimming over to the mainland, near to Sea World, the University of San Diego, and hiker-friendly Tecolote Canyon, to have more room to craft award-winning beer. Chances are good that she'd invest a one-time membership fee in the mug club, allowing her to enjoy 25 oz. mugs at the cost of a regularly priced 16 oz. pint, plus an additional 20% off on "Mug Mondays" and $5 credit for each $100 of beer purchased. But if you're not a local, order a pint or two at regular prices and soak up the cool coastal vibes. Tap room exclusive selections may be better bets than playing it safe with one of your favorites. Went to Coronado Brewery off Morena blvd. With six friends we're in our 50s and 60s great food great beer but the whole beer garden is taken over by young adults who have kids that are out of control screaming and yelling and playing soccer try to have a conversation it's kind of hard with kids screaming all around you. So I got up went over to the adults and asked them please can you have your kids move down so we least could have a conversation no problem went back to my seat 10 minutes later there's Young kids running around screaming and yelling so I went up again. Nice and polite I'm from a big family so I know kids. can I have some peace and quiet please and eat my food and drink my beer. they had some dirty frowns on their face and they try to hush them up again but to know avail. Great beer and great location! We were at a Hilton hotel literally .2 miles away as-the crow flies but it took about ten mins away because of the highway. Good food menu and we happened to be there during a food and drink happy hour which was an unexpected but super pleasant surprise. I love Coronado beer but have only tried limited editions due to what they bottle so I was so excited to get to try some gose and sour beers from them. Loved the space and that you can also sit in the brewing area as well as in the bar type area. Was glad to have something like this so close to our Hilton resort on the bay!! Loved fresh Coronado beer. Came for a friend's birthday bash fully aware this is a beer place. Disclaimer I am not a beer person, but was surprised to find that they offer 3 ciders (Rose, Pear and Dry) and wine. They also have some fancy food options that are delish. I wasn't sure if they would be able to accommodate for dairy free dishes, but they were able to! The pretzel and pizzas can be made without any dairy. I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza and that was was delish. Love that they add bacon to this pizza for some extra savory flavor. I also ordered their Pear Cider which was good. It was not dry not sweet, but crisp. Love their ambiance and the outdoor area that is doggo friendly. By far our favorite beers and brewery, been mug club members since 2016, and even the food is amazing too, but the fact that the patio has been turned into a chucky-cheese or sad daycare is a major turnoff! Despite small signs say kids should not be running around, screaming or climbing, we witnessed all 3! It's awful and truly kills the vibe of an amazing brewery with award winning beers and great food, all to be ruined by countless un-attended little ones invading your space....screaming, crying throwing toys and expecting you to want them at your table, feel bad for them that their parents are so selfish, take your kid to a park or at least, take care of them at this brewery! read more

My family and friends have enjoyed Coronado Brewing a handful of times and always had a great time. This past Saturday, we stopped off at Coronado Brewing on our way to the Padres game and had a bad experience. For the first time ever. They had a staff that was rude to the point that when the really tall young man that worked the bar made smart as comments to my daughter that asked a simple question, we literally almost left on the spot. We had already ordered and received a couple of beers before he make his rude comments or we would have walked out right then. As I paid the bill and tipped heavily as I always do in spite of the fact that he was a jerk, I noticed that the bartenders were comparing notes and laughing about the way they were treating the guests. This is a very cool brewery perfect for large groups and a favorite of my parents. We had been going to the original location on Coronado Island but this is much bigger and easier to access. They have their own parking lot and also a decent amount of street parking depending on how busy it is. It's a bit unassuming down a dead end road and behind a large gardening store. They have a large brewing room which you can view from the dining area. They also have a very large outdoor patio with extra seating perfect in a sunny SD day. They have a small food menu and (obviously) a large beer menu. They have some rotating selection and they always have their own beer (obviously) on draught. Last time I came I ordered their blonde ale which was quite nice - crisp and refreshing, not too dry. We also ordered a bunch of food to share: the artichoke dip is delicious but I wish it came with more crostini, the pretzel was solid but I'm not a fan of the beer cheese it comes with (but that's just a personal taste), the individual pizza was yummy as well. The bruschetta was my personal favorite - good portion and the right amount of vinegar. Cool brewery to hang out and order a drink or food at! read more

I have definitely tried many different Coronado brews in the past but never made it out to the brewery. Today I treated myself to lunch at Coronado. Its a nice facility with a long bar and of course a selection of beers. I ordered the nachos borrachos and skipped on the pizzas which also sounded awesome. The nachos were amazing and filled me up. The plate was not crazy big either, it was just perfect. I had an Early Bird milk stout to drink and that was a great beer. In fact i believe it is their best! Well done! read more

Food and beer are always good, patio is a great place for family, so we thought. They do have patio rules, to include, for kids: no screaming, running or climbing .... All very reasonable rules. However, staff are very condescending and in fact a man, who may have been the manager, stood by our kids, staring, with arms crossed like a bouncer. When I asked him if we could do something different as he looked upset..... he approached our table and said something along the lines of 'yes it's called parenting'. Mind you the kids were up and playing along their wall, but were not screaming, climbing or running. I am understanding of keeping your kids under wraps at an establishment, but did not appreciate the staffs' demeanor and to me it appears CBC does not like children and is not in fact family friendly given their attitude towards parents. I've had a lot of Coronado Brewing beer, and went for the first time to eat there in 2018. There are many places in San Diego that have equally good food as they do beer, so it was a pleasant surprise that this was also the case for Coronado Brewing! We ordered a pretzel, the meat and cheese board, the Greek salad, and the hummus plate. THIS IS NOT BAR FOOD, it is full-on deliciousness made my a people who know how to cook, not just put things together. I've been back a couple of times and have never been disappointed by any of the items on the menu. I also appreciated that the place is laidback, and the service is great. read more

This is quite a nice brewery and quite the busy one on a Friday evening. I stopped in tried the Coronado Golden Pilsener for $5 a pint. The beers was light in body and had slightly sour, lemony, and bitter after taste, but was refreshing throughout with some hop and bread flavor. For pils, it had a little bit of blonde in her. The pilsner was a great way to start the evening. In addition the the pilsener, they have a great selection of other craft beers and when you walk in, the list is on a board, to your left. This location has a large tasting are via a standard bar, tall bat tables, and sort of a lounge situated directly behind the bar accessed by an open door. I ordered my craft beer at the bar, and the female bar keep who took my order and brought me my beer was friendly enough. That is to say, she could of been a little friendlier. They offer a rotating food vendors inside, which great for when you get the munchies or you can order food delivered by local businesses. The evening I was there, in addition to Cheesy Amigos, they also had Krave there giving out free samples of a variety of beef jerky. I love this little brewery.... probably shouldn't use the world little as it is pretty big.  You have a cool view of how the whole beer brewing world works.  Not only can you see it but the people working are always friendly and answer questions that you have.    The beers there are always cold and tasty.  I usually stick to the type of beer I drink so everything I have tasted has been super good.  My go to is of course the orange wit.  Always refreshing and light when you want a good beer.   I've been for just one special release. The Barrel aged stupid stout and oh my was it tasty.  The release went very smoothly and I danced out with my two bottles quite content.  The brewery is dog friendly and has occasional food trucks with tasty food.  I believe the line up is on the website. read more

We took a quick weekend getaway to San Diego to visit a friend and they insisted on taking us to the Coronado Brewery. I never turn down the chance to try a new brew! This place was much cooler than any brewery I had been to in Vegas. They have a ton of huge fermentation tanks, and the room is completely open to check out. They even have tables in the fermentation area. I tried the Party Boat Sour. Sour beers are like a less sweet cider, I love them but they are an acquired taste. This one was delicious, tart and flowery. I also tasted the peach IPA, I really am not a fan of IPA's but I have to admit I really liked that one. We then ordered a couple Pizzas. The Brewers Choice, pineapple, pepperoni, cherry peppers and cilantro. It was delicious! You can tell they use great high quality ingredients. Our friends tried the Mediterranean pizza, also a great choice. It's safe to say we were grateful to our friend for introducing us to this spot. read more

COVID REVIEW- I just became part of the mug club and and am super excited to come here more often! I have been here a few times before and didn't always have the best experience with service. However I came here yesterday (6/10/20) and had the best experience meeting Daria! She was super sweet and didn't rush me to place my order either. She recommended a few really good beers and they were all delicious! Additionally they are dog friendly! They are doing outside seating and have a dedicated employee that stays outside to clean/sanitize tables. One of my favorite breweries to visit in San Diego. The outdoor seating is very spacious and social distancing is enforced. You can order inside, but must order food as well and sit outside. Masks are required when you're not at your table. Our experience was very comfortable and we felt safe, even with our kids tagging along. Their beer is exceptional and the food they offer is affordable, but still delicious. We always get the soft pretzel and the artichoke dip. This visit we had to try their new nachos and they were very tasty as well. The jalepeno beer cheese is just enough spicy without being too much and the pickled peppers on top make them stand out from your typical nachos. I also love that this brewery is both kid and dog friendly. Now, more than ever, it is so hard to get out as a parent. Their outdoor seating area is comfortable and welcoming for the whole family. The pineapple farm IPA is one of my favorites. I always have to purchase some cans to go. It's refreshing and tropical and makes winter feel like summer again. read more

Great vibe....great drafts...great food! Everyone working was so friendly. I'm currently in a wheelchair (Segway accident) and they were so nice and accommodating. The bar area has high seats...but there are picnic tables in the beer keeping room (no idea what the technical name is). We were trying to decide between 3 different breweries in the area and we are so glad we hobbled into this one! We had the Early Bird cold brew milk stout...unbelievably amazing! Smooth with beautiful notes of coffee and dark chocolate. No bitter aftertaste. Probably one of the top stouts that I have ever drank. read more
