The first time we went to Corso everything was great . When my cousin came to visit me from Italy different story . Food and service was horrible and the one thing that stood out was the waitress Kelly . Kelly had a horrible attitude and spoke to us very condescending! Food is amazing. We've gone there every week and all of a sudden the past month the service SUCKS... We tried to get food to go the past three days only to be turned away because they don't serve sandwich's or market items after 5:00 pm. We ordered sandwiches today to go at 4 o'clock when we arrive to pick them up we were told " we will help you out and give you a pizza...."WHAT??? Real Authentic Italian Cuisine! We have been looking for a place like this for years. It's literally just like the food and people you find in Italy. The Owner/ Chef, Corrado, was truly hospitable, genuine and food was impeccable. Flavors were spot on, pasta/ sauces were fresh and ambiance was quaint, quiet and refreshing. The service was also top notch, each server had their own uniqueness, happy to be there and took care of each customer. We will be back ALOT. Love this place. The food was terrible, the chicken parm was tough, lots of flour, tasted like chemicals, the grilled vegetables they gave me raw eggplant and raw zucchini, the cannolis were sour, the meatballs were like rocks. The best part of the meal was the sautéed spinach and garlic which was decent but full of water. The mixed green salad had no dressing on it. The paparadelle bolognese was all wrong, noodles were very soggy /overcooked, hardly any bolognese sauce. What a disappointing experience. read more

I truly think this is the best Italian place in the valley. The bread board was the best I've ever had- it came with multiple types of bread (including focaccia) and you could tell it was all made fresh. The board also had fresh pesto on it which had so much flavor and I couldn't stop eating it! I had the penne carrettiera for my entree, which came with some guanciale which was my favorite part. The pasta had so much flavor and I don't think I've had anything quite like it before! This place makes me feel like I am back on vacation in Italy! I will be coming back again very soon to try everything else they have, it looks like there's also a more casual area of the restaurant with paninis which would be good for lunch. Went for dinner with another couple. Ambiance was nice but that's pretty much it. Aside from being very pricey the food was sub par. I had Zuppa Di Pesce($56.00). The broth was not very flavorful and all the seafood was overcooked. Was supposed to come with bay scallops but upon noticing they're were none i was told they ran out and put in extra calamari which to say the least were like chewing on rubber bands. The other dishes were not much better. Ranging from undercooked and tasteless lemon pasta to very small salads and added plate charges for splitting them. They also charge $12.00 if you would like some bread for the table! Best to stay away. Too many much better options for quality Italian food and all at better pricing. read more

I have eaten Italian food all over the country including NYC and the food at Corso Italia is just as good if not better than anywhere I have eaten. I know Corso is still in a soft opening, however for an owner that claims to make authentic Italian food, the results are underwhelming. We stoped in for wine and appetizers. The wine list by the glass is very limited. We were expecting at least 6 options each of quality Italian wines by the glass for red and white only to find 3-4 of each; and they were out of one of the whites. We ordered the Frito Misto, listed as a serving for two of calamari and shrimp, in a spicy red sauce with a fire roasted lemon....it took 20 minutes and arrived without red sauce, plain lemon and about 3 ounces of shrimp and calamari sauteed in oily bread crumbs. After two bites we sent it back and were not charged, but WOW.... could be one of the worst appetizers I have had in my life....and at a price of $36! We finished our wine, still hungry, and went to the deli for a take home dish. We opted for the eggplant parmesan at $18.00 a lb.; two slices and a tip for the waitress and we were north of $30.00 for the WORST eggplant that I ever have had. The red sauce lacked any flavor, and the eggplant was bitter with no flavor resulting in a dense brick of nothingness. Again for an owner that claims to be an Italian restaurateur, he is headed down a path of failure. The place is cute and the idea may work, but very, very expensive bad Italian food is not a recipe for success. I stopped by the new restaurant in marketplace after seeing a TikTok video... Amazing new place, got the eggplant Parmesan to go and was blown away! Being from the East Coast and eating a lot of very authentic Italian food, this place is legit! The awesome chefs even gave me a taste of their Amazing focaccia hot out of the oven while I waited. In just opening, its not surprising that the place needs to find it's balance. That being said, to its credit, it is well located, and mixes the Italian Deli/Market/ restaurant ambience well. I have visited twice, the homemade sausage is very good, unfortunately not good are the meat balls, at 7.00 each, they are flat/unseasoned/ and I believe all beef, no mixing in of any pork or other ingredients to add moisture and taste. base line products like olive oil appears to be an expensive blend. The pasta is fresh , they make it on site, the Marinara sauce is unremarkable. The service needs to be tweaked The panni's I had was very bready , while the bread is tasty, the sausage, onion and pepper pannini I had suffered from to much oil from the pan in the peppers and onions and not enough sausage to balance all that crusty bread. I have not ordered from the dinner menu. I may go back, not sure. read more

We went with another couple and we were all very disappointed. The service was terrible, we sat for 25 minutes before anyone waited on us. The drinks hardly had any alcohol in them and they were more expensive than a high end steak house. The food was tasteless and overpriced. They even charged for blue cheese olives in our drinks! We will never go back there and to top things off, the chef/owner was very disrespectful to us. read more

I thought the prices were on the high side for our dining experience. I stopped by the market and the prices seemed to be quite high. The olives were $19.99 for a pound. Was hosted to lunch with friends so I COULD NOT complain....they had been before and the Mrs. was NOT at all happy with the service (nor was I) the pasta with eggplant I ordered was bland and I HATE UNCOOKED eggplant YUK, she ordered the salmon pasta and it was DRY and just awful she said, the other guest said in the car after she complained that he flat out didn't like his entree either and did not like our waitress. It was a costly mediocre meal, a shame , tho the decor was nice. They said that they wouldn't go back again. read more

We found this wonderful restaurant by chance. So glad we did! There are a few very good Italian restaurants in Scottsdale, but Corso Italia stands above for a few reasons. First, it has a very open kitchen adjacent to their market. You see it all, and they are rightfully proud of showing how they prepare and cook. Second, the menu offerings. Delightful original dishes that you just don't find elsewhere. Lastly, the quality of the ingredients. We eat out 7 days a week and are grateful that we can. A wonderful new addition to the neighbourhood!! The soup was delicious and that was just the beginning. The gnocchi was amazing and I especially loved the eggplant addition. After shopping many times at the market and enjoying their fresh made sausages we finally made time to have dinner and boy were we in for a great experience. We have traveled to Italy quite often and have always been disappointed trying to recreate the authentic food experience in AZ. At Corso we were literally blown away by the complexity of flavors, the freshness of the ingredients, and the authentic dishes and presentation. It was truly the best Italian food we have had outside of Italy. Oz and Kelly took such great care of us! For Christmas, we picked up their delicious panettone and ciabatta bread and got such rave reviews at our house that we had to come back and get their meatball sandwich on the ciabatta along with the Roman pizza, which is called Pinza, which has the Durum semolina from Rome. We had the margarita with their fresh made mozzarella. Awesome! They're pricing is great as well. Come one come on there's a huge selection, a full bar and a restaurant. I stopped In yesterday to check this place out . I remember the chef from Carefree . He's a great chef and super nice guy . I asked the lady at the front if the Chef was available . A quick rude NO . What do you need ? I said I was just stopping to say hello . He's NOT here . I asked if I can look around .. she hardly said yes but quickly said Do not go in the dining room . Just a bad vibe from that person . Not sure if she was the manager or not . But seemed to care less about any first time customer walking in . We looked around for a minute and decided not to take anything home from the deli or other items they sell to go . I will stop back by sometime and hope to be greeted and much nicer way . read more
