The first time I came to Cortina's, I wasn't very impressed. But I decided to try it again, I can say it is one of my favorite places in orange. I order the Baked Ham, which is great (even if you aren't a big ham fan like myself). The prices are great. They have great quality- the meat and bread are wonderful. The only issue is that they don't have great operating hours. I feel like whenever I want to go there, they aren't open. read more

The fresh bread is the best. Wish they would go into the bread business and sell the bread to customers. I have had several sandwiches and they are all excellent. You will not be disappointed. I work nearby and was looking for a 'new' sandwich shop to try. There are many in Orange and I think I finally found my hidden gem! Great prices for what you get, comfortable inviting environment and I'm extremely impressed with the quality and flavor of the sandwiches here. Good portion of meat on the subs, fresh ingredients and oh so yummy and soft bread! My only complaint is I've been here 3 times and 2 of the 3, my order was wrong. One of which I didn't realize until I got back to work since it was a to-go order. I ordered their daily special - some kind of honey ham on wheat bread and i opened up a pastrami on white. Good thing i like pastrami, still a dissapointment though. I'll definitely be coming back for dine in. read more

Everything you're looking for in a sandwich, and a lot more too. Just discovered this place and have added it to my sub shop rotation. I have tried the hot roast beef sandwich, the Italian, the Russo and the Cuban and all were fantastic. The meats and cheeses are all very high quality and the rolls taste really fresh. The only ding is the spicy mustard that they use on the Cuban overpowers everything else. Ask for yellow mustard instead and problem solved. I've also tried the lasagna and it is very authentic Italian and a very large portion. Can't wait for the Anaheim location to re-open as I've heard their pizzas are excellent too, and they don't serve them at the Orange location. If you're still going to one of those chain sub shops, what's wrong with you? Come here and you'll never set foot in those places again. read more

Foods great, tables aren't always cleaned. They dont leave napkins out so you can't clean them yourself. I just had my food delivered to my dirty table and the server just dropped the food off and walked back to the kitchen. read more

Just had lunch here for the first time. Fantastic place. Crowded, but efficient, no problem getting our order in or out to the table. The food itself was really good - high quality Italian sandwiches with delicious bread. And the service was outstanding. We were there with our young child, and without even asking the helpful person taking our order offered us a couple child-friendly options and was totally willing to accommodate. I considered about 5 Italian restaurants to cater my husband's 50th birthday party on Saturday. Cortina's food, prices, and professionalism made them be the clear choice. I had about 40 guest coming, so I ordered a large green salad, 2 small trays of meat lasagna, a small tray of mostaccioli with marinara, and large tray of meatballs. I served this with bread and a few homemade side dishes, and we had the perfect amount of food. Everyone raved about the food and how delicious it was, and it was under $200! I picked up the food at their Orange location. It was ready on time, boxed up neatly, and carried out to my car. I asked for it to be cold since the party wasn't for several hours later. I was given clear heating instructions by Teri, their caterer. You won't be disappointed with Cortina's. Highly recommended! read more

They make the best meatball sandwich, the meatballs and the sauce are absolutely delicious. I eat it with a bag of vinegar and salt potato chips and its my favorite lunch meal. The restaurant is clean and the employees are friendly. Parking is limited and if you go during lunchtime, be prepared to wait because quite a few people go there for lunch. read more

Place is a great lunch stop. Try to Heath lunch rush that happens at 12 and you'll be in good shape but if you are in a rush you can always place a phone order. I recommend that you get the rocky balboa large so you could take the other half Home and have for a snack prior to dinner. All in all this place is good with great service and taste. I have been a happy customer that enjoyed going to Cortina's Since I was a little girl going to the park, Brookhurst Junior High and Magnolia High. Although there were plenty of sandwich shops around, no shop compared. Recently I have had the worst 3 experiences EVER at the location in Orange. I only have a short 30 minute lunch break.I felt the sandwiches were so good from what I remembered, it would be worth only having a few delicious bites. (since it took the majority of my lunch to get there and back) I guess I was WRONG. The first time, they get my order wrong they acknowledged it and compensated me with a free sub. AWESOME!! The next time, they got my order wrong, they told me I could come back and get the portion of avocado they forgot. (which I was charged extra for when I ordered) REALLY?? The third time, I ordered a 10 inch sub, they had a 6 inch waiting for me. At this point I wanted to talk to the manager. Sam, the manager comes down and asks me did the customer service repeat my order, I told him yes. Although, it was still WRONG. I had to wait for the other portion of the sandwich to be made and they charged me for the difference. Sam said, he was sorry and would take care of it- by doing NOTHING. I really like this place, unfortunately they can't get my simple order right. THAT SUCKS! read more
