This was our first stop in Utah which started off with bad customer service. The girl who took our order did not even greet us when we rolled up, we said thank you three times as she handed us our food but she said NOTHING, then shut the window. Maybe she was having a bad day. Anyways, we ordered: an enchilada sweet pork- tasted like I was eating some kind of dessert because of the sweetness. It sounded good but not for me!! Shredded burrito- looked good but did not taste like an authentic Mexican burrito. Chicken tortilla soup- Tasted like salted/sour water with veggies and chicken in it. They don't really take much initiative to ask if we have any questions, considering we looked a little lost about the menu. The burrito was not rolled/wrapped very well so everything fell out and ended up being eaten like a salad.. Costa Vida is an average place. It's good if you're in a rush and can't find anything else, but they don't have many choices nor is it that good. They don't have any veggies (fajitas, etc.) and they don't have any vegetarian/vegan options, besides beans and rice. I wouldn't recommend naming it "mexican" because it really isn't authentic. The baja bowl is LITERALLY the size of a kids bowl, no joke and it doesn't fill you up. The kids quesadilla was average as well. Last thing, the service was not as great overall. read more

Diane is a rockstar!! After a long hike in Zion Park, we were starving for some great food that would be fast to eat other than Micky Ds down the road. Guess what?! This is one of the few open spots in town; dine-in closes at 7pm while drive-thru stays open an extra hour longer until 8pm. We were confused by the signs and hangry seeing all these people eating inside but the doors were locked. Diane let us in, thank God. As it was my dad's birthday, I just wanted something better than cheap burgers and yelling kids. This spot is super chic inside. You really feel like you are swept away in a California Dream. And the food is phenomenal. I mean have you ever had a burrito drenched in sauce and cheese, then baked in an oven "Enchilada Style." Such as brilliant, delicious idea that Diane adviced! Everyone here was super friendly and prompt to help answer any questions. They had great recommendations so let them know what you are in the mood for! I only recommend this place if you go inside to order. That way you can watch them make your food and they seem to give you more food. Every time I go through the drive up something gets messed up. Are usually get a veggie salad and there's very very little rice and beans. I feel like they should make up for not having meat. Also half the time there lettuce is either brown on the edges or all the very centers of the hard yellow lettuce. I keep thinking things will get better but they haven't. We stopped here when were on our way back from Zion. The food was decent and the price was reasonable. It was very similar to a Chipotle, but with a local flair. What was that!?!? My first visit. Looking for a descent drive through or delivery Mexican food locally so gave it a shot. Ordered carnitas enchiladas, and some food for my kids. Looked good. Looked like a menu for those who have no more than a basic understanding of a Mexican menu. Carne asada who? I like carnitas. Closest thing I could find was "sweet pork". Okay... I think maybe pineapple juice, or orange juice, a little crispy. Add a little seasoning. Nope. It just taste like pork seasoned with sugar. And I mean...SUGAR. That's it. I was shocked when I took a bite. Does not make me think Mexican or Tex Mex. It was bizarre. The beans? Kind of like ranch beans, but watery and no seasoning. When my teen comes back after dinner and asks me, what did you think of dinner? I know what that means. No está bien! We may give it another shot. But... no sweet pork and switch up the beans. The burrito wasn't wrapped properly causing my burrito to completely unravel when I picked it up. The rice and chicken lacked any kind of flavor. There was only one tablespoon of pico de gallo sprinkled on top of my burrito. My partner got nachos, only to find out midway through ordering that they were all out of queso. The customer service here is also lackluster, the employees seem unenthused, and the work spaces definitely needed to be cleaned. Why wouldn't restaurants keep the masks? They're preparing food and they come in contact very closely. All the kids here are super young and are not safe with food handling, the guy that serving had sweat dripping down his mouth. Cashier was rushing and didn't know how to pronounce half the menu. Food was just okay. Nothing especial. Place was dirty inside at our table. They were running out of a lot of things (chicken, beef) black beans were dry and chips super salty. I had this place before and it wasn't bad. If they could just fix the sanitary issue, I'd be willing to give them another try. For now, this is all can say. The rice looks and tastes like instant rice, and there are no tofu/vegan options for protein replacement. Come on, Costa Vida, it's 2020! The dishes don't have their personalized flavors and therefor are not worthy to be associated with the Mexican cuisine. They need to give reading lessons or reading glasses to the people who work there then maybe just maybe an online order would be correct or maybe IDK double check to make sure all the paid for iteams are included in the order and just maybe you'll a tip and good praises, but alas this wont be it...havent gotten a correct order since costa vida took the spot over from Durangos which was way better.
