If I could give minus stars, I surely would. I have found out the hard way that this place sux. I heard that if you buy an appliance online, they will install it for you free.....sounded REAL good to me. So I spend way more than I had planned and purchased a really nice one....asked the guy when could I get it installed and let him know I really really wanted this to be done before Thanksgiving. "Oh I don't know ma'm...the installation dept is backed up so all you can do is wait for them to contact you". Not what I wanted to hear, but oh well. A few days later I got a text saying they would be bringing AND installing the new dishwasher on the 11th....great! I was all excited. The guy shows up on the 11th ....looks under my sink (remember this part of the story) and tells me I have a leak. Ok, yes I know that.......so then he claims he cannot install the dishwasher as long as I have that leak. WTF?? Why wasn't I told this beforehand??? I was very unhappy. He claimed he talked to his boss about it and his boss told him NO. He left and I spent the rest of the day sleeping and watching westerns. Two days later I called a plumber and they cam out and fixed the leak....$294...oh goody. I call Customer service and tell them the leak is fixed and I need my machine installed.......I am put on hold several times....finally she tells me the only opening they have is for the day AFTER Thanksgiving....nope, not acceptable. Back on hold again...finally she comes back on the line and tells me they are gonna "try to work me in" and someone is supposed to call and if I don't hear from them in 24 hr, here is the number to call them. Naturally I didn't hear from them so after 24 hrs I started calling...and calling...and calling....and not once did anyone ever answer. After two days I get a call from Costco asking if I would consider taking a $150 from them to find my own installer as they would not be able to do it. I ask why and am told that when the "installer" was here on the 11th he noticed what bad shape my floor was in and he didn't think it would even support the new dishwasher. News Flash: when he was here, he never even pulled the old one out, so how the hell did he see the floor under it??? I told the lady, this and that I was sick of the bullshyt and I just wanted my money back. read more

Bought a TV and when I opened it, it had a big crack through the middle. I immediately took it back (within minutes), but they did not want to give me my money back or replace the TV. I am a darker skinned Hispanic, and the way they talked to me was very demeaning. Like I was a second-tier citizen. The assistant manager, Vince I think (big husky dude, kinda balding), was very condescending and walked away from me as I was explaining that I literally took the tv out the box and the crack was there. The plastic was still on the TV. The Manager walked over and said that I broke the TV because there was no damage on the box. I said "well let me a push a tv to the ground, it won't damage the box, but let's open it and see if that screen is cracked," they kind of laughed and said (obviously) "no." My point is, a damaged box alone is not the only indicator of a broken TV. That was my intent of that message. Anyways, the best deal they gave me was a $700 credit and I had to come out of pocket an extra $500 to buy the same TV. That's the best they were willing to do. They said I could file a claim with my credit card company, but that would've took weeks and I needed a tv that day. What's crazy about this whole ordeal is that I use to work at Costco in marketing, and one of things we always preached about was the return policy, every member can return any items at Costco for full money back, but this day management was not having it. I thought about filing a claim with the courts, but that cost would've exceeded the actual TV, so basically they robbed me of $500, embarrassed me in the store, and the whole experience was very demeaning. I'm sure management had a good laugh that evening. Anyways I love Costco still, but the management at this store is not very good. They probably need to take a course on customer service and do some leadership seminars, and maybe some diversity training. Maybe even get some color in positions of leadership, instead of middle-aged non-colored condescending folks. Just a suggestion, hope this review helps. read more

I signed up for a membership online and even though I went through my email it did not link it to my card. I went in to the store and spoke with someone named Kira. She continued to tell me how I was wrong and I messed up my membership. She finally was able to link it, but she literally rolled her eyes at me and kept reading the membership details. I've always been a fan of Costco. I particularly like this one over the one in Sugar Land, TX. This location is way better! My husband and I frequent this location every weekend. This Costco is well staffed and very organized. This location is also very clean. Clothing: they have smaller sizes available (smalls and medium); excellent prices, good quality material Furniture: variety of designs, they can ship to your house Appliances and electronics: good deals, but certain items have limited return policies Food: Usually come in bulk, have a variety of organic options, they also offer samples during the weekend Everyday household items: they have almost everything you need...it's really a one stop shop Cafe: They serve hotdogs, salads, sandwiches, pizza, smoothies, and etc at unbeatable prices! Pharmacy: They have great prices on vaccinations. Good service from the pharmacy staff. Last year a very pleasant associate/cashier informed us that by upgrading to the Executive membership we would save hundreds of dollars based on past history. I told the nice lady, I was not interested since we were moving further away from Costco. She reassured me that's it's a no risk upgrade and that if I didn't benefit they would gladly refund the amount paid for the upgrade, "no questions asked." A year goes by and we ended up not shopping Costco much. Long story short, I requested refund from Hulen locating and the associate gave us a very hard time. Rhonda was very abrasive, borderline condescending. Rhonda was kept asking us if we use insurance services, travel services... yada yada yada. I had to repeated tell her no, we just don't use those services. She then became very rude, treated us like a step-child she's demoting because we simply downgraded on a membership level that wasn't feasible. Order a top of the line dishwasher. It was delivered and installed. The installer ran it for a few minutes. I ran it one time and it stopped. I called Costco. They said it would be 5 days before they could get to it. That is 5 business days. The customer service on repairing a brand new item is terrible. It is now going on 8 days. I have learned my lesson. read more

I love this Costco, but if there's one thing I had to choose that I didn't like, it would be that every time I come in the person at door always asks me to see my membership card. I know that's standard, but I'm a paraplegic bound to my wheelchair and they don't ask any one else walking beside me to see their card. So I have to stop..take a longer time grabbing my card out.. just to see 20 other people walk in without being bothered to show theirs! What is the point? On many Costco trips I have brought a friend, my sister, or even my mother in law and had no problem with them using my membership card to make a purchase with me. Especially since these people are members, but maybe forgot their card that day. Well I bring my sister this trip and Rebecca S. Is rude demanding to see the cards being used to make the purchase to ensure they match the name on the membership card and would not allow my sister to make a purchase with me. So I finally decided to get a membership as I had never been in one before and was planning a large event so thought it might be a good place to get some of the food. Almost every customer service experience I had was rude. While they did have some good prices on large quantities the selection was not great, so not a great place to go wanting specific items or ingredients. The lady that greeted me the first time I went in was very abrupt in telling me to go the other way when I showed her my membership email on my phone. The lady at one of the check-out lines yelled at me for going to the bathroom, which can only be accessed by going past the lines. I wanted to get one of their famous cheap hot dogs and did but the eating area was filthy. They also don't arrange it where people can sit on their own. I would have just taken it with me to continue shopping but did not want to get yelled at again for breaking some unwritten Costco etiquette. Do not expect to be renewing my membership. read more

If you're fortunate enough to have a Costco membership, you'll know that Costco gas is a lot cheaper than other places. If you're really frugal, you probably go out of your way to buy Costco gas, or if your like my family, choose where to live based on proximity to Costco. Therefore, my brother's place is less than five minutes from Costco, so stopping by to get gas isn't a big deal for him. In Hawaii, the Costco gas station always has a line. It's also open until 10pm.... Here, the gas station closes at 7!! And I haven't seen a line yet! Ya'll have ridiculously cheap gas here in Texas anyways, so maybe getting a Costco membership just to buy gas isn't worth it. But then again, everyone here seems to own a truck that gets like 10 miles to the gallon... read more

I love Costco...but then again, I hate it. Why? Because it seems nearly impossible to get out of there without buying SOMETHING! Unfortunately, ONE purchase yields another, and another, and...well..you get my point. What's really great about Costco, is their variety. From TVs to Vitamins, there is a plethora of things to peruse and buy. Perhaps one of the most outstanding features is their variety of foods. Whether you want Beef, Fish, Chicken, Sausage, pre-made pizza (ready to cook), vegetables, or fruits, some of the prices are hard to beat. Buying FIVE large Haas Avocados for under $4 is unheard of in any local market. But here, you can buy them at almost any time. Excellent selection of breads and baked goods, not to mention wines, will keep you content until your next visit. Oh, and if you love coffee...they roast their own right there in the store. My friends and family tell me it's "hands down" the "best coffee" they've ever had! Buying in bulk is not everyone's cup-of-tea, but for those who have to commute to get here, it certainly is a time-saver. Original individual continued to try to get us to purchase executive membership which we did not want. When we refused he got another individual who continued to push the executive membership and after the 5th time of us saying no we would just like gold membership please this individual rolled their eyes and walked away while shaking their head. First I love Costco so this review pains me. This review is only for the Overton location in Fort Worth. This location is run extremely poorly. My experience is not at all indicative of Costco... just some bad apples. Here is my saga. I purchased a mattress 4/29/15 and by 2018 the mattress had totally given out in the middle. We have a defective mattress. Since I bought it from this location I called and explained my situation and was told that it was not a problem and to bring it back. I only have a passenger car so that meant I needed to rent a U-Haul which I did, hire loaders which I did and then drive to Costco. The next part is the shocker... they wouldn't take it back because the mattress was stained. I'm not returning due to stains... I'm returning because the integrity of the mattress has given way. The nastiest employee I've ever encountered at Costco was adamant she would not accept the return. I called the Grapevine location and was assured it was not an issue so I drove the U-Haul an hour away, incurred an additional $55 in gas and mileage charges for the rental and was handled with grace and dignity. I was able to return mattress and purchase the replacement. Kudos to Grapevine. I just want to warn the Yelp community that Overton is not your best location. Equally, the Grapevine location is fantastic. read more

Been to this location dozens of times and never had an issue with employees but on 03/05/2022 at 1:45pm a gentleman with dark hair with facial hair named Marcus began yelling at the line of people getting their receipts checked to get into two lines. It was the most disturbing display of unprofessionalism I've ever seen, he treated us like cattle and was screaming over and over from a distance. This man shouldn't be working with customers, everyone turned around and we're disgusted by his display even other employees were turned off. read more

I shop here often and overall I think the prices, selection and customer service is great. I was with a friend in a Dallas Sam's Warehouse and confirmed I still like Costco better than Sam's! But Sam's is doing a new kind of checkout if you have membership and smart phone You can scan barcode on item as you put it in your basket. When you finish shopping you can pay from your phone with credit/debit card. A receipt pops up on your phone for your items to be checked & compared to the receipt when you are ready to exit the store. This wonderful feature means you don't have to stand in line to check out. I loved it & hope Costco adds this feature. read more

About a week ago we went to Costco in Ft Worth. We had several items on our list and one of them was the pre packaged pulled pork. We looked but couldn't find it. We ran into an employee, Richard Crawford. He said he thought he had seen it on the truck. He checked the computer to confirm, then he tracked it down in the cooler and brought out a case to stock the shelf. Richard went above what was necessary and really helped us out. Worst experience ever at this location. My wife who has a membership and coworker who does not were trying to split a purchase for an event showing appreciation for nurses during nurses week. The manager would not allow her coworker to pay for her portion because she did not have a membership. She didn't have a membership because she does not live close to a Costcos. All was explained and Costco's staff did not care despite the fact they did the same thing earlier in the week at a different Costco's and it was ok. So much for supporting those who supported us the past 14 months. BUT make sure to wear your mask inside even if you're vaccinated. I bought my favorite Madeline cookies here on 11/08/15 and went home and ate some. Next day i noticed the expiry date was 11/07/15! Wait a minute, maybe my understanding of Best Buy 11/07/15 is different so i ate some again and F*** i saw the 2nd layer of the cookies have molds! Sh*t!!!! So next day i went back 11/10/14 and refunded my money. Went back to get a new Madelines and still i saw some of the expired 11/07/15 dates still being sold!!! I reported it right away to the manager and gave me an apology. F**k! All i get from wasting time to go back and forth for 2 hours and ate some f**kin molds is just a simple SORRY! Ahh yay :) A Costco in Fort Worth! Overshadowed by the myriads of Sam's Club around here, I was forced to make a decision! Costco vs Sam's Club? 5mi to the nearest Costco or 2-3mi to the surrounding three Sam's Clubs around Ft Worth? $55 membership (Costco) or $45 membership(Sam's)? Seems like the sensical choice would be Sam's Club, right? Well, I went with my beloved Costco still ~ Back in California, I'd make Costco a weekly outting. Every Saturday or Sunday, I'd dedicate my afternoon to buying delicious cheap food, soft fabric detergents, quality appliances, and all the facial and hair washes and creams I'd ever need :p Things haven't changed much since coming to Texas. Though Sam's is more convenient and cheap, Costco seems to always carry a lot of the things I need at a great price. Plus, their brand, Kirkland Signature, makes some awesome baked goods, meats, poultry, and fishies :) as well as quality household goods and needs. Ohh ohh and the cheap gas! The gas at Costco is usually 5-10cents cheaper than the surrounding area's gas stations. Plus, the customer service here's impeccable and is the main reason why I love Costco!!! Every single employee here was super friendly and seemed genuinely happy working here! Plus, the senior citizens who prepare and pass out the samples ARE THE CUTEST PEOPLE EVER ^__^!! Y'know how your grandparents used to sneak money and feed you yummy food whenever you'd visit them? Yeah, I get the same feeling here whenever the nice grandma or grandpa offers me those free yummy samples and delves into a description about how amazing the food is And how can you forget about the food court?! $1.50 polish dog w/ a drink? $2 for a hugeeeee slice of delicious pizza?? $1 churros (they're usually good but for some reason the one I had today tasted super stale....hope that's not always the case)? there's always people lined up, and people are lazy and don't pick the pumps on the left side. the pump extends, so it doesn't mater what side your gas tank is. either way, the lines move quickly. gas is on average ~$0.20 cheaper here than everywhere else! bonus: since people who go here are costco members, there is less of a chance of people "asking for help because they have an empty tank and no money" read more

I ordered two of the garland and only received one on time for my wedding. I called the day of once we noticed we were shorted and they refunded me for the missing garland. Needless to say, the second garland arrived two days later. ha After leaving the above review on Costco's website, Costco emailed me saying my review "did not meet their guidelines" and I have the option to change my review. I went on Tuesday and my family has a card that we all use so on Tuesday when i went to go buy stuff for my SICK grandfather she declined the card because it was under his name and because he wasn't present keep in mind we have the same last name and same address so i was willing to show her my id that was strike two the first one was she was completely RUDE and was finding any excuse to be rude. honey It's not my fault you work as a cashier, if you don't like it maybe quit? My mom and I drive to this location from Waco once a month. We have been to this location twice and both times they were very rude when we checked out. We both have a membership cards but just put our stuff in the same basket and separate when we get to the checkout. They made use show our IDs to prove who we were. We checked out the same way in Austin and had no problem. This store is so rude the way they treat and talk to customers. read more

All hail Costco! The King of all gigantic wholesale stores! I love this location, they carry healthy fare and it's always changing. Their clothing lasts for many years, too. It's the only place we buy our glasses and contacts, too. They carry high quality eyewear. My eyeglasses have always lasted many years. Great beer and wine selection too. There's no comparison between Costco and Sam's Club. Costco is far superior. read more
