I hadn't been before and was pleaaantly surprised! They brought hot rolls and fresh Texas sweet tea that alone was enough to make me smile! But then I ordered the Tex mex salad and it was wonderful, the fajita chicken was seasoned well the lettuce was crisp the dressings tasted homemade ..We also ordered the chicken fried chicken .. it was almost like my momma made! Yummy mashed potatos and gravy ..msc n cheese was on point!!! The service was great! Oh wait also the fried green tomatoes .. with ranch .. some of the best I have had surprisingly.. the menu was large and offered so much variety.. so many things I want to try.. this is a nice little country style restaurant with home cooked tasting food and great Texas hospitality! You must try if you haven't ever been .. prices were very good also!

    AMAZING!!!

The Tex-Mex salad was super crisp and fresh served with a generous portion of fresh avocado. Absolutely delightful.

I was unable to visit with those across from me because of the reflection. The food and the service were fantastic! I did have to ask for ketchup that did not have the additional strong, smoky flavor added to it. Can't figure out why y'all needed to change the taste of basic ketchup. The fries are freaking fantastic!! Our group was able to enjoy the cowgirl option!! The 5 ounce steak was amazing. The appetizers are fantastic! The cheese board, pork belly bites, and friend green tomatoes are delicious! The double cheeseburger is served with the best fries I've ever had. The drinks are really good! Lemon drop martini, old fashioned, Texas tea, and the $7 Happy Hour drinks are the best! This place is a busy place. We made reservations, however, I'm not sure if you have to have them to eat here. I love the dimmed lights and homey yet upscale feeling this place gives. We had a really amazing server who offered up some great recommendations as first time customers. She had only been there two weeks, but told us she went through a two week training prior so they know their stuff!! Don't be afraid to ask questions. How I would rate our meal: Drinks: I got the amethyst dream and he got the smoke haus. Presentation of both was really nice, enjoyed both drinks but would probably try something different on our next visit. Appetizer: we got the Caesar salad to share. Loved the croutons and the dressing. It seemed a bit small but possibly for one person it would be enough! Entree: I got the crispy chicken breast, the piece of chicken is huge!! All the flavors of the dish come together so well, it's truly one of my most favorite things I've eaten recently! We also tried a side of mashed potatoes which were good and my fiancé got the red fish which he enjoyed. It is pretty light though, so maybe wouldn't recommend if you're REALLY hungry. Dessert: we got the milk and cookies. I wasn't honestly too impressed. I think I expected them to be warmed and gooey and they were not. However reheating the chocolate chip at home was good! For it being a farm to table restaurant, I found the prices to be very reasonable! I already know what I plan to order on our next visit. Also looking forward to bringing some friends/family to the third floor for drinks and live music!

He said it was really good. Not dry at all. Hubby and I both got the Creole pan seared shrimp. The shrimp were very small but the overall flavor was very good. We will definitely be back.

Recently, I had lunch here, and they now have a new farm to table menu that really exceeded my expectations. The Ranch has reinvented itself many times, and now it's a restaurant I would visit for the food AND atmosphere. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - At its core, it's a bar with several indoor and outdoor dining areas with a country theme. The Ranch is so versatile that you can host a private event while people dine in the main area while others hang out at the bar. There's also a charming outdoor area that is nice if the weather is cool. Best of all - it's full of people and energy. 1 Star. Service - Our server was great. We explained the concept, went over the menu, and while a large table occupied his time, several of the staff were helpful. Everyone was dressed in Cowboy/Ranch gear. Texas Southern Hospitality is real. 1 Star. Food - My most recent visit was like visiting a new restaurant. The Ranch's menu has changed, and everything was new. I started with the pork belly appetizers, which was a great start to meal. The tender pork meat had a layer of sweet + salty belly that melts in your mouth. I went with the Barbacoa Grilled Cheese that was one of the best I've ever had. The barbacoa (shredded BBQ beef) was the star and was better than any brisket grilled cheese I've had. The sourdough was grilled with lots of butter, so after devouring the sandwich I had to wash my hands. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Absolutely. I had been to The Ranch so many times I considered a place to gather for Happy Hour. Not anymore. The new menu is incredible, and I can't wait to return. 1 Star.

Ordered two. The Vaquero Shrimp were the undisputed highlight -- genuinely outstanding. Everything else fell flat. Steak was bland, fries arrived cold. Two visits, same story. My guess is the overpriced menu items deliver what the atmosphere promises but the $30 deal is a value trap. The Ranch looks the part but the kitchen isn't backing it up at this price point. SAS Verdict: Not Approved. The Vaquero Shrimp alone can't carry the whole meal.
