I always wanted to eat here I would pass by and they were always closed during later on in the daytime so I decided to come early one morning and hear you find me writing a review of my experience here when I walked in there was people already seated and eating and they were playing nice soft music. Everything was nice and clean fresh. There was a friendly lady who greeted me I asked to use the restroom went to the restroom. The restroom was very clean. There was toilet paper. There was warm water and soap to wash your hands. I walked to my seat ordered my waffle, and it was very delicious. It was served fast and homemade and exactly how I asked for it with a lot of syrup and a lot of butter and I will definitely come back again and bring my son with me next time to enjoy a breakfast this is a nice place to connect with friends and family. read more

Let me start off by saying the food wasn't bad but it wasn't good. It for sure wasn't worth 18 and some change. I got a chicken wrap that was almost all lettuce . The wrap was grilled but only on one part so it was cold on all the other sides. It wasn't bad but for the price I expect more chicken and bacon. It came with fries which were not cooked all of the way through. My server also dropped my check off with my food and never came back which was weird. I had to flag her down for a box and to actually take my card with the check she left with my food. That is weird service. The place seemed clean enough but the staff was not friendly. If I could leave zero stars I would. The mango shake that they advertised had zero flavor, we were charged 8$ for 3 pieces of bacon that had zero flavor, cold, dry & super thin. We asked for a well done steak and got it medium. The ham was not the ham they served before, it was 3 small pieces of ham. We were charged 10$ to upgrade the side of pancakes to a waffle just for it to be dry and cold. I don't know if there's new owners or the owners just stopped caring about the quality of food either way the prices are crazy high for it to be as* to say the least. While looking for a good place to eat breakfast, I noticed a great deal that was offered. If you order a Hickory Bacon platter, you get a second platter for free! This is an excellent deal ($22.00) for a delicious meal. I especially like their biscuits and gravy. You have a choice of pancakes if you want them. Great hickory bacon, eggs and country potatoes. You can tell they just did upgrades inside (I.e. paint, decor) but I am not sure it's been cleaned since . Don't get me wrong it wasn't like crazy bad but when we had to wait 15-20 minutes for a server you start to notice little things. Overall I said was ok. Service was the same , slow in the beginning and there was only three other tables and they all had their food already when we got seated. Not sure why it took so long for someone to come over. After ordering it took less than 10 minutes for our food. I got the 2 eggs breakfast $9.99, with hash brown and one biscuit which I asked for gravy on top. Everything was , gravy was ok, it felt more like an instant gravy though. The hubby got all American platter with hickory bacon $14.95 , he chose the country potato and half a waffle. I ordered the classic breakfast wrap without sausage sub hash browns for fruit. Add salsa. Hash browns could have been crispier. The wrap - filled with egg, potato, bacon, ham, and cheese - was decent. Not the best, not the worst. Service was efficient and almost all the tables were filled by the time we left. I remembered country waffles as always being pink instead so the remodel of grey tones was a nice touch. Plenty of parking. read more

Used to go to the one in Selma but they closed it way back in the day and turned it into some other restaurant. I was so sad, I fell into a deep depression, and I actually had to visit a few therapists after the closing. Nevertheless, I still love country waffles. Every time I think of country waffles I jump up and down in joy and start clapping my hands and feet together like a kid on Christmas. Sometimes I wake up at 4:00 AM just to sit at the edge of my bed and think about country waffles for 2 hours. The eggs are good and the hashbrowns are better. Would recommend. 10/10. read more

A few years ago we previously frequented this Country Waffles; but today, & I am sorry for this review, we went for a late breakfast around 11:00 am, restaurant was not busy. We like eating outdoors & they used to have a nice Patio for outdoor dining. This time we went it was filthy, every table was Extremely Dirty, the whole Patio (which leads to entrance) was FILTHY, tables, chairs, rails, floors etc, I walked in & "3" workers were laughing & taking it easy by cash register. We used to like the food there, so even though the outside was FILTHY, we had a table cleaned (mediocrely) we asked if they could turn on the Nice Ceiling Fans & we were told that they were Broken? We ordered & Food was Horrible, pancake was cold, the hash browns & potatoes tasted HORRIBLE, like Oil (probably Old & Dirty) for frying is NEVER Changed; biscuit (which used to be my Favorite there) was Cold & HARD, & tasted Rancid (old flour) our server was not very attentive, until it was almost Tip Time. Also a mother & her son in 20's also wanted to eat outdoors, but the mom kept telling her son, it's FILTHY & DISGUSTING Here Outside! Used to bring the family here for the occasional breakfast treat--but I'm out. Inside has been remodeled, and was clean and nice. Staff were friendly when they came around. They need some quality control in the kitchen. I had the Hangover with an added Cajun hot link (couldn't taste it, and I only saw a couple of small pieces in it) and gravy. Not bad; but the taste of dissatisfaction with my daughter's dish sullied the experience. My daughter loves strawberries; and she absolutely loves the Swedish Fruit Rollups from here--the only reason we came. She orders the $14.99 breakfast of diabetic champions, and it looks like the cook attempted a crepe, slaughtered it on the cooktop, then cut it in half to make two (while foregoing the advertised sweet cream inside). My 8 year old daughter looks like she is about to cry. I brought it to our waitress' attention, and she said this is how they normally look. I'm already here; I'm already invested--so I order a second serving. This one comes out looking like two actual crepes! Still lacking the sweet cream; but my girl is happy, so eh. $52 breakfast. The customer service was pretty on point. We were greeted & seated in a timely fashion. Our waitress was extremely nice. The place was fairly clean as well. But the food tho :-( The food looked amazing....Looked. I had the Denver Omelette which was heavy on bell peppers & very light on ham & cheese. Not to mention super bland. Ain't nuthin wrong with a lil seasoning. Also the ice tea was super watered down. So yea, taste wise I was unsatisfied.
